Chapter 44: Hello Mike.

Kyle had gott quite a lot done today and made considerable progress with his plans to establish the foundations of his cover story.

He knew he had to pay atttion to Jane and decided to give her a surprise visit at her place of work; there was no doubt that she would be ecstatic.

"I wonder how she would react?" Kyle thought while a smile creased his face, unlike Calista, Kyle liked the sort of person that Jane was.

He parked at her place of work but made sure it was out of sight, no one there knew he was coming because he parked just before the curve.

He walked a the block, making sure he took his time to do so too.

Kyle wondered if he should get her anything but he was aware that Jane wasn't the type of girl you love bomb and overwhelm with grand gestures.

Wh Kyle walked through the door, Jane's back was turned to him as she was conversing with a coworker.

The others saw Kyle and wanted to inform her but Kyle gestured for them not to.

They had tak a liking to Kyle simply because he brought Jane out of her shell.

Kyle tiptoed but this was wh Mike came into this compartmt of the building from the backroom, his eyes fixed on Kyle trying to sneak up on Jane.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING SIR?" Mike barked, startling everyone in the shop and ruining Kyle's surprise.

Kyle stopped in his tracks, irritation visible on his face with everyone face-palming themselves in tandem. Rose looked on in fascination.

"It is about to go down," She muttered to herself.

Jane turned a and her heart skipped a beat the momt she saw Kyle, she wasn't prepared or expecting him.

"K-Kyle?" Jane stuttered and this was wh Mike saw a side to her he had never se.

"Hey, you..." Kyle said with a smile, stretching his arms apart but Jane stood still.

"What the hell is going on?" Mike thought to himself, looking over at Rose but she was already looking at him with a satisfied grin on her face.

"Are you going to leave me hanging?" Kyle asked, he didn't care about the eyes on him.

"What are you both doing? This is a workplace," Mike informed them and Kyle looked at him with a raised brow.

Mike was right however he was the only one who had a problem with this for obvious reasons but Kyle was a customer.

He didn't know what was wrong with this man but he was becoming a pain in the ass.

"You're right," Kyle said, he didn't want to make him look bad, that was the last thing he needed.

Kyle had no inttion of creating trouble for Jane but also knew he needed to keep this man in his place.

"So how about this? I buy everyone here a brand new iPhone, you included but of course, only if my lady is fine with that," Kyle said and everyone's face lit up.

Kyle had set up the situation to make Mike the bad guy by possibly making everyone befit from the situation.

"Did he just call her his woman?" Mike thought to himself, he couldn't believe his ears because this was the same woman that rejected him.

"H-H-He just called me his lady!?" Jane's thoughts were in disarray, she couldn't believe what she just heard.

"Well?" Kyle asked her, Kyle had turned Ella into his ally but what if he was able to turn the people at her workplace as well?

Well, he was about to find out.

"Y-Yes," Jane's voice was barely audible but he got the message.

And in the blink of an eye, Mike had no choice but to play along because as much as he didn't like the situation. This was ideal because they would all be getting new phones.

"There you have it folks," Kyle informed them as they all hurried to get the phones of their choice without hesitation.

The last thing they would want was for him to change his mind.

Kyle knew that this man was a stickler to the rules but there was something off with him, this man tried to make him look bad.

This wasn't just some buzzkill, it was a man trying to mark his territory and Kyle just showed him that he had no control as long as he was here.
