Chapter 100: Like Moth To Flames.

The night went better than expected, Ella was singing at the top of her lungs and while it did take the crowd some time to warm up to them.

They went berserk, Kyle could have easily hired a DJ but this is what he wanted his club to be about.

Live performances, bring the artists closer to the crowd. However, he knew that a DJ might be needed should something happen to the artists meant to perform so he had one on standby.

Kyle watched the bright smile on her face, Ella couldn't make out the crowd thanks to the flickering lights but her immediate vicinity didn't suffer this same fate, allowing her to focus on her performance.

Ella sang her heart out and the audience was dancing, she didn't opt for a heavy metal track and chose to sing something a lot softer.

This was a different experience and with everything 50% off, bottles were emptied out at an astonishing rate. Everything was going and the stock was depleted, even the meals in the restaurant section were nearing depletion.

This was such a busy scene but Kyle was going to make his move, Jane was surprised that she had this place all to herself.

Ella was performing here but she wasn't that important to warrant such treatment with a security.

Stationed at her booth. A drink was offered but Jane didn't touch it, she took out her phone and recorded Ella singing her heart out.

Tears soon welled up in her eyes, she couldn't believe that Ella had reached this stage in her career but the emotions in her voice were.

She could tell her friend was hurting and letting it all out, it could be felt with every word that escaped her lips.

Jane knew this was more than a song for Ella, this was her soul being shared with everyone but of course, she was the only one that caught on to this.

Everyone else was too focused on drinking and partying to care about such a thing.

"Got room for one more, princess?" A voice said behind the security watching her booth and to her utmost surprise, it was Kyle.

Ella's voice was strained and it was beginning to affect the notes she could hit.

However, Kyle was impressed that she managed to keep singing but this was why she chose notes that wouldn't stain her voice.

She was singing for over an hour now and needed a break but there were no other artists to take over from her so she had to keep going.

This made Kyle realize the flaw in his plan but he had other singers here even though they weren't famous.

Just for tonight, he could make use of them because, in the end, tonight was the night.

Jane was treated like a V.I.P. among V.I.P.

She was a VVIP and she didn't even know it but if Kyle was the owner of this place like he said then the treatment she got made all the more sense.

Jane finally took a sip of the drink in front of her with Kyle around her, she knew he wouldn't let anything happen to her and Kyle also planned to remain sober throughout the night.

The club, restaurant and strip club were at max capacity, this was the best opening one could ask for because his revenue for that night was easily in the millions.

"If I told you I owned this place, what would you say?" Kyle whispered in Jane's ear to which her eyes widened in utter shock.

"Get out of here!" Jane barked, slightly nudging him. She was tipsy at this point so she had less control over her words.

"I'm serious!" Kyle responded with a satisfied smile but realized that the drink she took hit her harder than she would have liked. Jane offered him complete transparency into her life so it was up to him to return that level of communication to her.

But that was to be expected, the drinks served were far from cheap and everything here was something most of these people wouldn't be able to afford without the discount that Kyle gave to them but the problem about a place becoming too popular was that it attracted unwanted people.

And one of the people it happened to attract was Calista Wave.
