Chapter 128: A Race Against Time.

Mike had taken Jane away and there was nothing anyone else could do now.

Ella had been smacked over her head a bit too hard and could barely think straight seeing as she was suffering from a concussion.

Ella tried her best to compose her thoughts, but she couldn't even stand straight. The police were on their way, but what was done was done.

Mike had Jane and there was nothing that she could do about it, Jane had protected her once again.

Ella couldn't do anything but there was one more person that might be able to do something with his influence and that was Kyle.

She wondered why Kyle didn't tell them and one could blame him for the current occurrence as this caught them off guard.

If they did know information about the danger that Mike possessed then it would have been easier to handle the situation.

There was no way in hell they would have spent the night at their place nor would Mike have that freedom to move freely.

Ella found a target for her rage and that was Kyle, she was justified even though she understood that Kyle was trying to protect Jane.

If that was the case, what happened to her? He could have told her just like she told him about the kind of man that Mike was.

There was something wrong with all of this but Ella remembered that Jane had kept her old phone.

She rushed to the room and found the phone, quickly searching for the contact and just as she thought, Kyle's number was still in the call history.

She inserted her sim and dialed him up immediately, it didn't even ring once for Kyle to pick up.

"H-He got Jane... Mike has Jane!" Ella began to sob, she couldn't hold in her tears.

Kyle didn't say a word, prompting Ella to wonder if he heard.

"It is all your fault! You should have told us or the police! It is because of you that psycho has Jane!" Ella barked but once again, she was met with silence.

Kyle knew she needed to get this off her chest more than anything but never predicted that Mike would go to such lengths.

"Where is Jane's location!?" Kyle asked but his system didn't give him an immediate response.

But then the familiar cyan screen appeared.

[Ding!]

[Calculating Geolocation....!]

Kyle's heart began to thump, he didn't know this would work but the response was positive.

He found a way to keep the police out of it because he finally made up his mind the moment that call came through.

Kyle was going to make sure that Mike wouldn't see another night and the element of surprise was something that he had because there was no way that Mike would anticipate this.

[Location found!]

[Current location: XXX-XXX-XXX!]

"Keep it on! Keep tracking!" Kyle commanded/

The relief that overcame Kyle couldn't be explained but he saw a mini map dangling in front of him showing where Jane was headed.

Kyle didn't hesitate, he picked up his car so he could track them but they did so quietly, no one knew he had returned to the apartment.

This took a little over fifteen minutes, if Mike was going to make any move, it would be in the morning.

Tonight was for securing Jane and he had time on his hands as well but why was he still on the road? That didn't matter because Kyle got into his car and drove off.

He drove like a maniac but thanks to his skills, he didn't need to worry about crashing.

It was like a cheat code in a video game that allowed the user to auto-dodge obstacles, except the automated feature was his reflexes.

Kyle hit the pedal, tearing through the street like he was in a race, he didn't care about the speed limit.

"Hang in there Jane!"
