Chapter 411: The Klin

Dumbledore hovered above the battlefield, a sea of undead sprawling below him.

The two undead giants towered over the rest, their blank white eyes fixing on the phoenix gliding through the air. As their attention shifted to Dumbledore while he was carried by the firebird, they began to move.

"Fawkes!" Dumbledore called with a note of urgency in his voice. One of the giants swung a massive club at them... no, it was actually a giant tree that had been crudely fashioned into a weapon.

Giants weren't very creative craftsmen when it came to weapons and would use whatever large heavy thing they had close by. It appears that death had not changed that part about them.

Fawkes while still holding Dumbledore by the shoulders with its claws, evaded the attack with a sharp ascent, soaring higher into the sky.

The second giant let out a guttural, angry noise as it lumbered closer, crushing skeletons and zombies beneath its enormous feet. The destruction didn't seem to bother it one bit.

Dumbledore observed the scene, weighing his options. He couldn't distract the giants forever, and at his advanced age, stamina was a concern. He was no longer the young man who had fought in the Great War, but decades of wisdom had to count for something.

'Even my strongest fire spell won't be enough to completely destroy one of these monstrosities, let alone both,' he mused.

His thoughts turned to Fiendfyre, dark magic so powerful it could annihilate nearly anything. But even that might not suffice.

Fawkes let out a piercing cry, narrowly dodging a massive hand that had attempted to grab them.

"I'm sorry for what comes next, my friend," Dumbledore said softly.

But Fawkes did not falter.

The dark phoenix of Fiendfyre and Fawkes moved closer and closer until they converged in the middle, colliding with the sphere of fire in the process.

The resulting explosion of light and energy was both terrifying and awe-inspiring.

"It's ready," Dumbledore murmured, his gaze fixed on the miniature sun he had created and that now hovered before him.

The fire burned so intensely that it had lost all color and shone with almost pure white light, its heat so overwhelming that even Dumbledore felt as though he might melt away at any moment. Yet he knew this was only a shadow of the spell's true potential...the version Harry had once cast was much more potent than this one.

However, he could not go that far. Without the containment charms that only Harry could conjure, the original spell could end all life on the planet.

Even so, this version was a sight to behold as far as Dumbledore was concerned. And it should be more than enough to end this battle.

"It's a shame you never gave it a name, Harry," Dumbledore remarked as he guided the blazing sphere toward the giants.

The two undead behemoths, relentless in their pursuit, were halted by the sheer intensity of the spell.

The miniature sun hung above them, its heat and light unbearable.

"A supreme fire magic created by a Potter..." Dumbledore paused for a second, a faint smile on his lips. "I shall call it... Klin."

With a snap of his fingers, the sphere descended, engulfing the battlefield in blinding light.
