Chapter 140: Final gifts
Even in the workshop Neither Nick or Flitwick were in any mood to make jokes or exchange banter after the news. Despite this Nick focused on making his gifts for his friends and thankfully he merely needed to enchant another four items before christmas so he should be able to laze about after tomorrow. For today he was working on finishing Flitwick's gift as well as making Harry's in it's entirely. The plan for Flitwick's gift was that chakram he had made previously but enchanted in such a way that it flew on it's own and could be controlled by the man's thoughts.-
The half goblin was a master of charms and a champion level duelist so Nick wanted to make him something that would put both of those titles into practice. A flying chakram sounds fairly harmless at first until you add in the fact that Flitwick could use spells in combination with it effectively making him like facing two opponents from two different directions at once. Obviously Nick wasn't going to enchant the thing in front of the man since that would kill the pleasant surprise when he unwrapped it on christmas.-
To start out Harry's gift Nick started by grabbing an adamantium ingot , a mithril ingot and a goblin silver ingot and put them all inside the furnace at high heat to melt together. Flitwick furrowed his brows at this sight as he couldn't understand what appeared to be such a wasteful action. Nick took out his wand and pointed at the strange liquid metal in the furnace and began to glow as he pushed his spiritual energy into his wand. "RUIMENYA CANANNA GOIANNA NUA!"(by the fire I command you to join as one) he spoke and a glowing white and gold mist floated out of the wands tip before sinking into the liquid metal inciting a change.-
The three different colors began to swirl in the center of the furnace before folding into one another leaving a much smaller puddle of metal that Nick immediately removed from the furnace into an ingot mold temporarily. With a focused transfiguration Nick changed the shape of the ingot mold into the shape of a bracelet loop and then waited for the liquid metal to cool into it's new shape. "What spell was that?" Flitwick asked slightly shaken at the unbelievable scene he had just witnessed.- Ñøv€l--ß1n hosted the premiere release of this chapter.
Nick shook his head to show that he refused to explain himself in this particular case which told Flitwick that this was a very secret thing. He could only accept that this was one secret he won't be learning and move on to the mold with his attention. The reason Nick refused to answer the question was to make Flitwick think that what he did was exclusive to his crafting knowledge and thus impossible to find elsewhere. The truth of this matter was that this was merely the "ancient" form of spell casting that used elvish instead of Latin or some other language to achieve it's effects.-
