This was obviously meant to be given to him over a year ago but he was only given it now after the evolution when making such a ring was laughably easy for him. The next difference he focused on was the rank under his age. According to the system this was based off the ancient system of power that was used to determine power during the age of the titans and gods after the system scanned the book from Chronos.-
The first threshold of power or rank was what each wizard regardless of talent reached at the age of seventeen when their magic matured. Nick was way ahead of his classmates in this regard as he was at the first rank at twelve from the changes to his soul and absorbing the energy from the horcrux's. Each rank after this was achieved by doubling the amount of mana one had from the peak of the previous rank. -
For example for Nick to reach the second rank he needed to reach the peak of the first and then double the amount of mana in his body. This only changed at the fourth rank when instead of increasing the amount of mana it was about qualitatively altering it by turning it into liquid instead. That was as far as he could see with his current rank however so he had no clue about what came after that right now. Based on this system Nick could roughly say that Helena and Snape were at the late second or early third rank and Dumbledore , Grindelwald and Voldemort were at the early or late fourth.-
This perfectly explained why in the battle of Hogwarts it took three wizards at Snape's level to duel Voldemort to a standstill. After clarifying this Nick turned his attention to the final change which was the [trade} option. This allowed him to sell the system materials or rings in order to earn points easier since everything really good in the shop was something that took months of saving points to barely be able to afford. This excited Nick greatly as he could start accumulating points easier and affording the good stuff sooner as a result.-
The only really problem he saw was that the materials he sold were worth far less points than if he was buying them instead. But this was likely done to prevent him from abusing his wealth from his heritage to funnel materials into the system for massive profit. Sure he could still do this to gain some quick and easy points for a specific purchase he wanted but in the long run it was better to actually focus on selling rings instead.
