Chapter 451: Progress and potential god

That is what Nick had been doing for most of the month after the first blitzball match ended and he had made several great strides in his digestion of Slytherins recorded knowledge. The first of them was that he had gained a more pronounced understanding of the ancient spell casting method that was used at that time. It was similar to how the celebrimbor style used his will and knowledge to enchant things except this used those to create a spell from ones wand. His mastery of the Celebrimbor translated over well but still left several gaps in his use of the spell casting style that Slytherins library was patching up nicely.-

The second great stride he made was learning the rituals that Slytherin himself used during his youth to grow his power as well gain a few benefits that Nick thought would be handy. One of the rituals was the ritual of nature that Nick had himself undergone. But there was also another two rituals that Slytherin used that while not directly growing his power sped up his magical growth drastically. The first was the ritual of expansion that caused ones magical core to grow smaller but produce more dense mana despite what the name would have you think.-The initial posting of this chapter occurred via Ñøv€l-B!n.

To Nick this sounded like the work of the smith god Hephaestus as neither of the other two sealed gods had any affinity with crafting traps much less metal from Nicks understanding. Iceland was also isolated enough that Nick could see an scorned individual like Hephaestus holing up there. The possibility of the place not being a sealed gods location but a genuine tomb for a very powerful wizard was also equally possible but something told Nick he needed to visit the place to know for sure. 'Looks like I need to plan a trip to Iceland' he thought with a sigh.-

Besides all that though nick was mostly absorbing the various theories and rules that Slytherin recorded in his library for the various different fields of magic he knew. The greatest of which was Slytherins studies on healing magic that while dark in some parts were comprehensive if nothing else. The man was thorough in his experiments on captured foes or muggles that stumbled across him and had detailed notes on what did what to who and why it did that. Nick absorbed this information like a sponge and was confident that he would be able to put many mediwitches to shame by the time he fully absorbed Slytherins knowledge.-

By the start of December Nick was practically a different person from how much progress he made into the library and it showed. He felt older to those around him like he had seen ages come and go. There was nothing for it unfortunately as when you read someone's entire life including their inner thoughts on a subject their personality will inevitably rub off on you to a degree. Slytherin was a calculative and callus person that was a firm believer of the ends justifying the means and a small part of that had been taken into Nicks own personality.
