Chapter 469: Christmas break

Nick shook his head "This is not the sort of thing to be made often but rather on occasions when one feels like treating themselves. This way you don't lose appreciation for it." He said honestly. "Too much of a good thing spoils it." Luna said with an understanding nod. "Now then lets see what else we have in this basket to eat shall we?" Nick said and began to look through the basket. He found cucumbers , tomatoes , carrots and cabbage within it other than the left over fruit. "Looks like it's salad then." he said with a shrug.-

They ate and drank in relative silence before Luna took the left over produce in the basket and left skipping. It was a warm and peaceful moment for Nick between his various different projects that he was working on. A good example would be the ring of protection mission he was on the precipice of completing the main part of and he only had one more part that he planned to do before turning the mission in. The next part was to create an entire set of armor that was rare grade at minimum.-

"Four against one huh? I like those odds!" Nick called with a laugh as he drew his wand and went rapid fire on them. This caused the snowball fight to escalate until it became a full on snowball war with anyone unlucky enough to be near getting dragged into it. Most of Gryffindor and some of Hufflepuff ended up split into two sides that hurled snowballs through the air in a gloriously over the top amount of powdered ice. It was only after Mcgonagall interceded that the war ended but both sides had casualties. The twins were a favorite target and had a bunch of bruises alongside several other people.-

Nick only got hit a few times thanks to his inhuman reflexes and that was mostly just because it's a bit hard to dodge a wall of snowballs aimed at you. Sure he could have used a shield spell to block them but that sort of removed the fun from a snowball fight. All in all it was a good time to be had and a fun way to spend the remaining time they had together before everyone left for where ever they went for the holiday break.-

Like that christmas break started early the next day and all the students leaving boarded the train and set off. Like every year the castle felt empty without all the students it normally held and all but a few noticed it. Nick wasn't amongst that number as he was in the workshop planning out how he wanted to do his armor. 'What about this?' Nick though as he transfigured a block of stone into a set of armor. "The shoulders are too wide and will get in your way when you swing your arms." Celebrimbor said casually.
