Chapter 606: Improvements and nen
During the last two years Nick had spent millions of points on new knowledge from the system and grown his library into a madness inducingly large and complex thing. Of course there was also a dwemer lexicon version of the library as well as he had finished digesting the lexicon he got years back. He now knew basically everything the Dwemer had thought to include within it. Amongst that knowledge was information on alchemically altering plantlife as well as various new farming information's from that world. Thanks to this the food problem had been truly and completely solved in Nicks territory.-
Not to say he hadn't helped others with it either but unlike his territory that could speed up the results via Zanpakutos that were commonplace the others would need at least another year to begin to see results. Nick had also chosen to purchase one of the power systems from another world to supplement his peoples lack of power. To be more specific he purchased the knowledge on it and spend a while to bring it into reality in this world. The reason for this was because Nick had noticed a rather glaring flaw with the Zanpakutos improvement of power in those wielding them.-
The way water divination works is that a glass of water with a leaf floating on top of it is filled with ones aura and the innate properties of the energy that person possesses changes something in the water or leaf. For enhancers the water will increase from seemingly thin air. For transmuters the taste of the water will change. For emitters the water will change color. For conjurers the water forms impurities in it like salt or metal or even dirt. For manipulators the leaf floating at the top of the water will move without any outside force acting on it.-
Specialist however are categorized as such when something beyond each of the other identifiers happens to the water which can vary from specialist to specialist. Regardless of which type of nen one has they can create abilities that use properties from other types but should typically stick to the type they are naturally inclined towards. The abilities one creates are in theory only limited by type , imagination and restrictions. Basically one figures out what they want the ability to do and then from there begin placing restrictions on it to determine it's rough power with the more limitations or the harsher they are the more powerful the ability.-
For example if you were an enhancer you could create an ability that lets you increase your strength , stamina and durability. But in exchange you have to be performing a specific movement to activate it or you can only use it for a certain amount of time or even REALLY harsh stuff like taking time off your lifespan per use. Regardless the final result is determined by ones imagination and the limits they place on themselves. There is a universal limit for all nen users however that applies when they explain their ability as this is a purposeful handicap and as such empowers them temporarily.
