Chapter 35 - Inside The Home Of A Criminal

Name:Help...My Wife is a Spy Author:Yunyi
Halia looked at the man in front of her. He had saved her three times, he was caring, protective and he was very good looking. If he wasn't a criminal, she would definitely fall for him.

Meanwhile, Jackson looked at the woman in front of him. She was beautiful, tough, brave, caring and sweet. All these years, he had ignored women because his life was too dangerous and unpredictable. But, for some reason, Halia was like a drug that he wanted to get more of, even though he knew he shouldn't.

At that moment, a loud crack of thunder suddenly roared across the sky and a thunderstorm started. Halia quickly looked outside.

"I'm going to pack this and get going before the storm gets any worse," she said.

"Why don't you stay here until the storm's over?" Jackson offered, secretly not wanting her to leave. "Besides, I think I still need your help with a few things."

Halia looked at Jackson. His shirt and coat was still lying on the floor and he had no shirt on. "Let me grab you a clean shirt, you're going to catch a cold in this storm," Halia offered.

"I need to have a shower first," Jackson said.

"But you can't get your wounds wet," Halia reminded.

"I just need to wipe down my body. You were a nurse before...can you help me?" Jackson asked as he looked at her innocently.

Halia looked at the man with an awkward expression; she couldn't say no. As a nurse, cleaning a patient was second nature, so she couldn't turn him down and blow her cover.

"Come to the bathroom," Halia said casually.

Jackson's lips curved upwards as he followed behind. As he watched Halia walk into the bathroom, he couldn't help but admire her body.

Halia was wearing a black sleeveless top and a pair of skinny ankle jeans that hugged her s.e.xy hourglass figure. Her long black hair dangled just above her waist and it swayed from side to side, like a hypnotic pendulum. Jackson couldn't take his eyes off her.

As he approached, Halia grabbed his shoulders, making sure not to touch his wounds and seated him on the lid of the toilet. She then filled the sink with warm water and a bit of soap.

"Do you have a face towel I could use?"

Jackson pointed to his bedroom, "In my wardrobe, there are fresh towels."

Halia took a deep breath and headed into the man's bedroom. For some reason, she felt nervous walking into such a private space. As she stepped in, she felt the fluffy carpet under her feet. The room was big and cosy and smelled of Jackson's cologne, his bed was made and everything was tidy, it wasn't what Halia imagined a man's bedroom to look like. Trying not to get distracted, she headed straight into the walk-in wardrobe.

Jackson's wardrobe was huge, but it was half empty. After all, he had only returned to Beijing in the last three months and didn't have many belongings with him. Halia quickly grabbed a face towel and a bath towel and returned to the bathroom.

Holding onto the face towel, she walked over to the sink and soaked it in the warm soapy water. She then wrung it out and turned to the man.

"Thank you," he said with his deep charming voice.

Halia looked down and began wiping his face, tracing the towel across his thick eyebrows, his cold eyes, his tall nose and his well-defined jawline. No wonder the girls in the club were throwing themselves at him; this man was oozing with masculinity and charm. She then washed out the towel and wiped his neck...his chest...his arms... and his back...

Although there was a towel between Halia's hand and Jackson, she could feel the firmness of his muscles and every curve on his body. This guy was very fit!

As Halia finished wiping the man's back, she looked down at his pants and paused. Her cheeks blushed a little. Did he expect her to clean him down there as well?

Jackson chuckled as he looked at the woman's embarrassed expression. With his right arm, he turned her around and gently pushed her out of the bathroom.

He then leaned in beside her ear and whispered, "I can do the rest, wait for me outside."

Halia heard the door gently shut behind her and she quickly took a deep breath. She had almost forgot to breathe.

As she fanned herself a little with her hands, Halia looked around the empty living room. It felt a little cold and lonely. Was this how Jackson lived?

That's when she remembered, she was inside the home of a criminal; an arms dealer; her target!

This was the perfect opportunity for her to gather some intel!

So, while Jackson was cleaning himself in the bathroom, she quickly started looking around, opening every cupboard and drawer she could find.

Eventually, she found her way to his study room. But...just as she grabbed the handle, a hand held onto hers and stopped her...
