Chapter 67 - The Best Distraction

Name:Help...My Wife is a Spy Author:Yunyi
Max sat inside Cleo's home, holding onto a cup of tea nervously as Maximus lay nearby in his dog bed. Perhaps, the dog realized by now that this human was afraid of him, so he just ignored him and had a nap instead.

While Cleo got changed in her room, Max glanced around the little apartment. Just like Halia's apartment, it only had one bedroom, but it was more than enough space for one person.

In the living room was a bookshelf filled with textbooks about food, as well as healthy recipe books. It seemed, Cleo really loved what she did.

Roughly 10 minutes later, Cleo emerged from her bedroom wearing a buttoned shirt and black business pants; she took her job seriously.

This was the first time Max had seen her in her business attire and it made her seem like a smart and professional young woman. It attracted him, but it made him even more self conscious. He only finished senior high school and never went to university. Worst of all, he was even kicked out of culinary school.

Cleo noticed the man was in a daze, so she gently clicked her fingers and asked, "Are you ready to go?"

Max quickly stood up and nodded his head. "My car's downstairs, I'll drive," he offered.

...

At this time, over at the lab, Halia and Jackson were taking turns getting changed in the bedroom. Halia was inside, while Jackson waited patiently outside. A moment ago, he had almost lost control when he saw Halia wearing nothing but a towel, but luckily he had more self control than that.

Just as everything seemed to be under control, however, a loud bang suddenly echoed from the bedroom. Jackson quickly knocked on the door, "Are you OK?" he asked.

"I think I sprained my ankle," Halia called from inside. "Can you come help me?"

Jackson quickly went to open the door.

Halia was still wrapped in a towel as she sat on the floor holding her foot. With a pout, she looked at Jackson.

Jackson quickly lifted the woman in his arms and placed her gently on the bed.

He wasn't wearing anything except a towel as well. But, unlike Halia, his towel was only wrapped around the bottom half of his body, so Halia could clearly see and feel his chest and arm muscles as he lifted her. She had never seen or felt a man's body up close like this and it made her nervous.

Of course, she knew the best way to distract a man would be to sleep with him and keep him in bed for the next few days. If she wanted to do that, then this was the perfect time. All she had to do was remove her towel and his towel and pull the man onto the bed with her; his eyes told her that he wouldn't resist. But, she had never slept with a man before. Did she have to go that far? Did she like Jackson that much?

Jackson looked down at Halia as she lay on the bed. She looked beautiful and delicate like a flower. Her skin was soft, her legs were long and her eyes were alluring; he had never been this attracted to a woman before. He was a man, so naturally, this scene made him heat up and want more. But, she had only been his girlfriend for a few hours! He wasn't a teenager that couldn't control his hormones, he was a grown man with maturity and logic, so he wanted to take things slow and properly cherish her.

Jackson leaned over and slid his hands behind Halia's back.

Halia felt his fingers on her shoulder blades and it triggered butterflies in her stomach. What if he made the first move? Would she resist?

Halia stopped breathing as the man pulled her up. Was he about to press her against that muscly body of his? Halia closed her eyes in nervousness.

But, just as she was about to touch Jackson's body, he took a step back and kneeled down beside her foot. Halia opened her eyes and realized the man had simply helped her sit up. As her feet dangled off the edge of the bed, Jackson grabbed her left foot to check how badly it had been sprained. "Ow!!" Halia screamed at the slightest touch. Jackson looked at the woman with pain in his eyes; it looked like he was the injured one.

"Stay here, I'll check the medicine cabinet for a heat rub or medicinal oil. It might help," he instructed as he walked out of the room. On the way, he grabbed some fresh clothes from the wardrobe so he could get changed in the bathroom.

When Halia saw this, she breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed, Jackson was quite the gentleman.

As soon as he disappeared back into the bathroom and Halia heard the door close, she jumped out of bed and got changed as well. In reality, her foot wasn't actually injured, it was all a part of her distraction and it was working...
