Chapter 94 - I Love You, Babe

Name:Help...My Wife is a Spy Author:Yunyi
As Halia and Emerson moved across the dancefloor, a pair of envious eyes fell on them.

"Marissa," her assistant said nervously.

The 29-year-old Marissa Qian was the owner of a famous PR agency which she inherited from her dead husband. At just 22 she married a man that was 28 years her senior, but the man unfortunately died from a sudden aneurysm last year. As a result, she became a widow as well as a millionaire overnight.

Even though she was married, it was no secret that she had her eye on Emerson Wu; almost everyone in the rich social circles knew about it. But, Marissa Qian was a manipulative woman who managed to keep her husband in the dark. If he had known, he would have never written her name on his will.

Now that her husband had been gone for a year, she thought it was finally time to make a move on Emerson. She was even wearing a custom made designer dress that showed off her fake b.r.e.a.s.ts; no man could resist taking a second glance at her.

A moment ago, she had popped into the bathroom to freshen up, hoping to get a dance with Emerson and seduce him.

So, she was furious to find that when she returned from the bathroom, Emerson was already dancing with some unknown woman.

She clenched her fists in anger.

As the song ended and the two moved away from each other momentarily, Marissa quickly stormed over and nudged Halia away. She then grabbed Emerson's hand as the next song began.

Marissa managed the PR for Emerson's casinos; he couldn't afford to offend her. So, he took a quick glance at Halia apologetically and Halia gave him a gentle reassuring smile as she walked away. Who was that woman? Why was she so rude and abrupt?

Halia was a little annoyed, but quickly brushed it aside.

At that moment, she spotted Natalie getting a little drunk in the corner. Halia quickly hurried over and helped Natalie stand up.

"Are you OK?" she asked.

Natalie hugged Halia in her drunken state, "I love you, babe."

Halia shook her head and sighed. Natalie always got really affectionate whenever she was drunk.

"You should go back to the room first," Halia frowned as she helped Natalie out to the corridor. Natalie smiled and rested her head on her friend's shoulder as they walked out.

On the other side of the ballroom, Sean noticed the two women stumbling out and was immediately worried about Halia. Was Halia OK?

He had seen her drink a few glasses of Champagne through the night. Was she drunk? Out of concern, he quickly ran after the two women. Of course, he had no idea that Halia held her alcohol well. After all, Fengtai Corporation was one of the biggest producers of Baijiu (Chinese wine) in China!

But, just as he stepped out into the empty corridor, he saw Natalie pin Halia against the wall. It was like a classic scene from a romantic idol drama, except Natalie and Halia were two women. Natalie grabbed Halia's chin and looked at her ambiguously.

As Sean approached, he heard Natalie say clearly, "I've missed you, babe."

He then watched as Natalie leaned forward and pressed her lips against Halia's.

Sean froze in shock.

He knew it!

Natalie was definitely Halia's girlfriend!

Overcome with complex emotions he quickly rushed over and separated the two women. "Is everything OK?" he asked with concern.

Halia looked at Sean awkwardly as she wiped her lips. "Natalie's drunk," she said.

She then pulled out a room card. "Can you take her back to my room first? I have a lead to follow," she whispered.

Sean quickly put the card in his pocket and nodded his head. He then lifted the drunk woman in his arms and headed for the elevator.

Sean glared at the woman in his arms. When he reached Halia's floor, he pulled out the room card and entered the suite. He then carried Natalie into the bedroom, threw her on the bed and turned to leave.

"Ugh, why so rough, babe," the woman suddenly complained as she rolled around in the bed, kicking all the blankets onto the floor. While she did this, her dress slid up her leg, revealing her silky thighs.

Sean glanced at the woman and noticed she didn't look too appropriate. He quickly covered his eyes and picked up the blankets from the floor. He then threw it on top of the woman. But, he felt bad leaving her like that, so he wrapped her in the blanket and adjusted her into a comfortable position.

She was his love rival, but she never did anything wrong, so he couldn't act so petty. Hence, he walked into the bathroom and grabbed a wet towel. He then dabbed it on the woman's face gently.

Natalie opened her eyes slightly and saw the man. It had been a long time since a man treated her so gently. Sure, everyone rumored that she wasn't interested in men, but that was all a misunderstanding. She was simply wary of men.
