Chapter 116 - Jealous Of The Same Person

Name:Help...My Wife is a Spy Author:Yunyi
On the other side of Macau, Sean was meeting with Natalie for the day.

Macau was a city with two very distinct sides: the Cotai Strip where all the majority of the casinos were located, and the Old City where all the historical sites could be found.

Sean arrived at a beautiful open plaza in the middle of the UNESCO historic center. The plaza was called Senado Square. Although it was called a square, it was shaped more like a triangle with a big round fountain in the middle. Lining the two sides of the square were colorful colonial buildings that seemed to funnel everyone into a much tighter street filled with snacks and souvenir stores.

Sean had arranged to meet Natalie in front of the fountain in the square. As he stood there on top of the wave-like pavement waiting for the woman to arrive, he suddenly felt a little excited. He had been talking to Natalie almost every day since they saw each other in Hong Kong, but he had only heard her voice and never seen her face. How had she been? Did she look any different?

He began to walk around the edge of the fountain nervously.

At that moment, his vision suddenly turned dark as a pair of soft hands covered his eyes. "Guess who?" a familiar voice giggled from behind.

Sean grabbed onto the woman's hands and laughed. "You're late," he said.

Natalie frowned and pointed to the traffic on the road that ran alongside the square. "I had to get out of the taxi and walk here because the traffic wasn't moving."

Sean looked at the woman and smiled. "I'm so happy to see you," he said with sincerity.

Natalie looked into the man's eyes and felt her heart race.

After thinking it over for the last few weeks, she was certain that she had feelings for this man now, but had he realized yet. After all, she talked to him every single day on the phone and often slipped in words of praise. Wasn't it obvious?

But then again, she remembered seeing him having dinner with Halia the night before. Was he only talking to her because he wanted to get close to Halia?

At that moment, Natalie realized Sean was still holding onto her hands, so she blushed a little as she pulled them away. Sean cleared his throat awkwardly and also blushed.

Natalie looked beautiful today. Since the last time Sean had seen her, she had cut her hair into a feminine bob and she had lost a little bit of weight. It wasn't too obvious, but she definitely had a healthy glow to her. On her feet were a pair of white Converse shoes and she paired them with a light pair of jeans and a white t-shirt. Unlike last time, when she was at a professional event, she was a lot more casual and it made her even more attractive than before.

Sean felt his heart race when he looked at the woman. If only she wasn't Halia's girlfriend. He would definitely pursue her. Too bad she wasn't interested in men.

The two friends looked around the square awkwardly. Although they talked every day, seeing each other in real life was a completely different experience. They suddenly felt a little shy, like two strangers on a blind date.

"Have you eaten yet?" Natalie asked.

Sean shook his head. "I haven't had anything since dinner last night," he said.

Natalie frowned. She didn't want to think about his dinner the previous night. She remembered seeing him walk into the restaurant she recommended with Halia and seeing him laughing and smiling as he sat opposite her.

"By the way, thank you for your recommendation. The food at that Portuguese restaurant was delicious," Sean smiled.

Natalie furrowed her brows and started walking towards a Chinese restaurant that faced the square. "Well, I guarantee that the food today will be even better," she said competitively. She suddenly felt a little jealous of her best friend again. How could she let Halia have a better experience with the man she liked? Especially when she was the one that recommended the restaurant that they went to? Besides, Halia already had a boyfriend; she couldn't have Sean too.

Sean looked at the woman curiously and started following her. Why did she seem a little upset?

"By the way, don't you have work? Does Halia know you're here?" Sean asked.

"Halia's father went to the Maldives for a holiday, so he also gave me some time off. I don't think Halia knows I'm here, I haven't spoken to her for a while," Natalie replied, feeling a little frustrated that Sean was suddenly mentioning Halia. "We often spend weeks and even months not talking to each other," Natalie added. If this man was only meeting with her because he wanted to know more about Halia, she was going to be really mad.

Sean sensed the frustration in Natalie's voice and began to wonder whether she and Halia had an argument. Was that why neither of them told the other that they were in Macau? Sean suddenly felt a little bad for Natalie. Halia never mentioned Natalie when she was around him and she never acknowledged that Natalie was her girlfriend. Worst of all, they were in a long distance relationship. Yet, Natalie was still so loyal to her and even worked for her father. Sean suddenly felt a pang of jealousy. If Natalie was his girlfriend, he would definitely treat her much better than that!

At that moment, he poured her a cup of tea and handed her the menu. "What would you like to eat?" he asked thoughtfully. He suddenly felt the urge to comfort her...
