Chapter 282 - Pink Lipstick

Name:Help...My Wife is a Spy Author:Yunyi
Mimi smirked as the man followed her into her room.

"Why are you here, President Wu?" she asked in a seductive voice as she sat down on the sofa and crossed her legs.

As she was staying in the room herself, she was wearing a bathrobe with only her lingerie underneath. So when she lifted her leg, the bathrobe slipped open a little, revealing her toned thighs.

Emerson immediately glanced away and cleared his throat.

"I was just checking on all the members of the group to make sure you're ready and you know how the Hong Kong media works," Emerson said without looking at the woman.

Mimi saw his darting gaze. No wonder this man never had any rumors even though he was one of the most eligible bachelors in Hong Kong. He was too shy to even look at her.

"Are you checking on the group or checking on me? If you care about me, you don't have to be shy..." Mimi smiled, revealing a pair of dimples on her cheeks as she stood up and walked over to him. It seemed, she had to be direct with this man or he would never make a move.

Emerson wanted to roll his eyes. This woman was practically a younger version of Marissa, except, her plastic surgery was a lot more natural. After all, plastic surgery in South Korea was very common and the doctors that worked with celebrities were of the highest quality.

Emerson found himself scanning his eyes across the woman's face; double eyelid, a nose job, and jawline surgery. From this close, he could see it all. Why couldn't this woman just be natural?

Mimi pouted her lips when she saw the man looking at her. It seemed, this approach worked. "If you keep looking at me like that, I'm going to be embarrassed," she said as she raised her arms to hook them around Emerson's neck.

But, to her surprise, Emerson saw what she was trying to do and quickly brushed her arms away.

"Judging by your relaxed attitude, I guess you have everything under control," the man said coldly as he began to walk towards the door. "In that case, I will get going now."

Mimi was a little disappointed by this response, but the man's restrained and professional manner made her want him even more. It was like he was playing hard-to-get.

As Emerson stepped back out into the corridor, he took a quick glance around to see if the reporter was still around and confirmed he was gone. There was no reporter in sight; his plan had worked.

So, with a casual wave he began to walk away. "Good luck with the concert tomorrow," he said.

Mimi was surprised by the man's abrupt visit but smiled and closed the door. She would still be in Hong Kong for another 2 weeks so there was plenty of time to seduce this man.

Next door, Avaleigh heard Mimi's door open and close. That was quick, Emerson had only entered Mimi's room less than 10 minutes ago. Had he left already? She quickly ran over to her door and peeped through the peephole with curiosity, but she didn't see anything.

Unable to contain her curiosity, she carefully pushed down on her door handle and poked her head out to have a look.

Not too far away, she saw the back of a man as he walked away. She recognized the smart grey suit on his body. It was indeed Emerson. "I guess he's not that much of a player," Avaleigh thought to herself as a smile subconsciously appeared on her face. For some reason, she felt relieved that he did not stay with Mimi for long.

After confirming that Emerson had left, she retreated back into her room and closed the door.

Just as she did so, Emerson heard some noises from behind him and turned around to have a look. However, all he saw was Avaleigh's door as it shut.

But, Emerson's lips curved upwards slightly when he saw this. Did she peek out to confirm that he was leaving? "That woman is indeed interesting," he thought to himself as he pressed the button for the elevator.

As he stretched out his arm, he noticed a pink stain on his sleeve, looked at it curiously, and felt himself blush a little when he realized what it was. This stain...it was Avaleigh's lipstick...

That was right, they had kissed earlier and he wiped his lips on his sleeve before leaving her room. Emerson subconsciously touched his lips. This was their second unofficial kiss, but this time, their lips actually touched.

Emerson laughed to himself as the elevator arrived. He then shook his head and stepped inside. Lucky there was no one in the room to capture this kiss, or they'd be all over the news again tomorrow...

...

The next day, at the airport in Guiyang City, Jackson held onto his wife's hand and smiled. This was their first proper holiday away together.

Although they had been to Europe together, he was looking for his sister at that time; it wasn't a proper holiday. So, he was really looking forward to their honeymoon together.

Jackson glanced at his wife and couldn't help but place a kiss on her forehead. She looked extremely cute that day in her short floral dress and straw hat. They hadn't even boarded the plane yet and she already looked ready for the beach.

Halia also thought her husband was extremely adorable that day. He was usually dressed in jeans and t-shirts with a coat or leather jacket, looking like an intimidating gangster, but today, he was wearing a pair of grey shorts and a white collared linen shirt. He looked completely like a tourist.

Who knew he could pull a look like this off so naturally? This man never ceased to surprise her.

"Are you excited?" Jackson asked lovingly as he wrapped an arm around Halia's shoulder.

Halia nodded her head. From the moment she first met Jackson, they had been following one mission after another and barely got any rest. Finally, they could just drop everything and enjoy each other's company. So, of course, she was excited.

"Natalie and Sean will arrive tomorrow and we will be spending 3 days with them. After that, we will fly to our next destination and they will stay in the same location for another week. As you know, Natalie's pregnant, so they decided to just relax at the same resort the whole time," Halia explained.

Jackson nodded his head. It was understandable. If Halia was pregnant, he wouldn't want her to go anywhere either.

Soon, the couple checked in their luggage, crossed through security, and arrived at their departure gate. As they sat down, Halia looked up to double-check that their flight was on time and smiled when she saw the words, 'Boracay: on time'. She immediately squeezed her husband's hand with excitement and squealed, "I can't wait!"
