Chapter 366 - An Urgent Discussion With Mr. Wu

Name:Help...My Wife is a Spy Author:Yunyi
"We need to find a man that's in the military. He met with Trojan when he visited, so he must know the location of the base. Judging by his uniform, he may even be a general or a senior officer of some sort." Halia made this assumption based on the badges that were on the man's uniform. "And, judging by his appearance, I think he was very likely Mongolian."

"If we can find him, we may be able to track down the base," Halia explained.

Trisha's eyes lit up when she heard this. "Then, we better hurry!" she said.

"Do you have an artist there? I can try to describe the man's looks," Halia suggested.

With a laugh, Trisha replied, "You have one of the best artists there with you."

"Huh?" Halia was confused for a moment before she realized who Trisha was referring to.

"Do you mean Jackson?" she asked.

Trisha smiled proudly. This was her idol they were talking about. "Of course," she replied.

Halia furrowed her brows. She had agreed to come to Guiyang City to get away from work. If Jackson found out she was working on another case, would he be mad? He had never been mad at her before.

"Stop hesitating. You better be quick. We have no time to waste," Trisha urged before she abruptly hung up the phone.

Halia sighed.

At that moment, there was a slight tap on her office door. "Everyone's gone already, what are you still doing here?" Natalie asked. Since Halia had complained about being bored, she assumed she would be the first one out of the office as soon as it hit 5pm. Who knew she'd still be here.

"Was it the work I gave you? It's exciting, right?" Natalie smiled.

Halia laughed helplessly as she grabbed her things and started walking out the door. "Contact the ad agency. I'm not liking the suggestions they made. We need a spokesperson that has more say in the food and alcohol industry. I don't want just a pretty face..." Halia said.

Natalie looked at her friend and smiled with admiration. Although they had known each other for most of their lives, this was the first time she was actually working with her.

Ever since Halia cut her hair to disguise as Mars last time, it had grown up to her shoulders. Through her hair, Natalie could see a pair of simple, yet elegant diamond earrings that hung to almost the same length as her hair. These earrings made her bare neck look extra slim, and they accentuated her collar bone which was revealed by the off-shoulder business shirt she was wearing. The business was a light blue collar with faint vertical stripes that were 1-2 shades darker, and they paired perfectly with the white high-waisted skirt and nude heels that she wore underneath.

She had never seen her friend look like such a boss!

"Yes, Boss! I'll call them tomorrow!" Natalie said as she gave a salute.

Halia laughed. But, as soon as she stepped out of the building and headed for her car, she became serious again.

As she sat inside, she said to the driver, "Hurry home, I have something urgent to discuss with Mr. Wu."

...

Meanwhile, at their new home, Jackson had just finished moving in all the furniture. It had been a long day, but everything was where he wanted them to be and he couldn't wait until his wife got home so she could relax.

As he sat down to catch his breath, he picked up his phone and called his good friend Max. He had a habit of calling Max every week to check how he was going. Even though Jackson was retired from Interpol, he was still the owner/shareholder of many things. Apart from the casino in Macau and his restaurant in France, the restaurant in Beijing that he bought with Max had just opened a couple of months ago.

"Has business been good?" Jackson asked.

"It's been amazing," Max replied. "The seasonal menu that Cleo helped me make has become one of the most trending menus on social media. Everyone is loving the taste and the creativity, and they think it matches really with the ambience and decor of the restaurant. In fact, we are fully booked for the next month already."

Jackson smiled. He knew he could leave the restaurant with Max. Back when Max ran the restaurant in France, he did really well there too.

"In that case, you really need to reward Cleo well," Jackson reminded.

Max laughed, "Don't worry, I dote on her more than you dote on your wife."

Jackson laughed as well.

After a short pause, Max added, "Talking about doting... Your brother must have inherited the same genes."

Jackson held onto his phone with slight interest, "What do you mean?"

He knew his brother was officially dating Avaleigh now. Emerson had called him to share the good news. But, Jackson had never actually met Avaleigh or seen the two together. Did Max know something that he didn't?

"Did you know that your brother opened an entertainment agency?" Max gossiped.

Jackson looked puzzled as a slight trace of amus.e.m.e.nt appeared on his lips, "How do you know about this?"

"His girlfriend is signed to his agency and she is filming a new television show in Shanghai, so he hired Cleo to fly up there to help," Max explained. Cleo was so excited about the contract when Emerson contacted her. Apart from working with Max, all her other previous clients had been housewives or students. This time, she was working with a famous celebrity! So, she told Max about it as soon as she signed the contract. When Max heard about it, he was happy for Cleo, but he was also a bit confused. When did Emerson have an entertainment agency?

"He even named it AE Entertainment," Max added.

As soon as Jackson heard this, he almost burst into laughter but he quickly held it back.

"I must say though, he also inherited your business genes," Max said with slight complaint in his voice, "He hired Cleo for three roles: dietitian, chef, and personal trainer! Three for the price of one! Does he think he's buying a vegetable at the market?"

This time, Jackson couldn't hold back his laughter anymore. As he held onto his phone, he leaned back on the sofa and laughed, just as he saw Halia pull up in the driveway...
