Chapter 369 - Still Popular

Name:Help...My Wife is a Spy Author:Yunyi
After the raid in the Philippines failed, Trisha became quite paranoid about the people she contacted and worked with. In fact, she couldn't even trust her own counterparts in Mongolia. So, this time, instead of contacting one person and giving the information time to be spread beyond her control. She sat a small team of trusted senior Interpol agents from Mongolia, as well as the Captain, inside a contained room and spoke to them all at once over a video call. No information was to leave that room and they would be the only ones involved in the case. If anything went wrong, then they would all be suspected of corruption and would be thoroughly investigated.

The three agents and the captain nodded their heads as they listened to Trisha explain the case they had. "I have a sketch here of a military officer that can help us locate the base. I want him arrested and brought in for questioning!" Trisha demanded.

The 2 men and 2 women looked at the sketch carefully. It was so detailed, it almost looked like a photo. Immediately, one man jumped up and exclaimed, "I know who he is!

Everyone turned to look at the man that spoke. "He was a Major General when I was doing my military service. We knew him as General Ganbat."

In Mongolia, one year of military service was compulsory for all men between the ages of 18-25. This particular agent was in the military roughly 10 years ago! Clearly, General Ganbat was an old and authoritative figure.

The group looked at each other uncomfortably. The military wasn't easy to deal with but they knew it had to be done.

"Leave it with us, we will go get him right away," the Captain said. It didn't matter who this general was, this was a matter of international security and law. If he was actually involved with The Organization, then he could not escape.

Trisha nodded.

...

After Cleo quickly unpacked her things, she walked back out to the living room to find Avaleigh swiping through something on her phone while Danson was typing on his laptop. Cleo approached and noticed Avaleigh was looking at reviews for restaurants.

"You haven't had lunch yet?" she guessed.

Avaleigh sighed and nodded her head. Back when she was with Macaron, all her meals were set for her, and after she left Macaron, she usually cooked. But, both of those weren't available to her at the moment, so she had to pick a restaurant.

Cleo smiled, "Did you forget what I was hired for?"

Avaleigh looked at Cleo questioningly.

"Dietitian, chef, and personal trainer," Cleo reminded. "I will handle your meals from now on," she said as she pointed to herself proudly.

"Follow me."

Avaleigh quickly threw on a coat and followed the young woman out while Danson remained behind to do a bit of work. He had never worked this hard in his life, but for some reason, he actually enjoyed it.

Soon, Cleo and Avaleigh arrived outside a hip, modern cafe in the downtown of Shanghai. Over the years, Shanghai had developed into a huge metropolis and there were now a lot of international food options. This particular cafe was one that originated from Australia!

Avaleigh looked at Cleo in surprise, "Are we eating here for lunch?"

Cleo nodded her head and smiled.

Avaleigh was a little hesitant and doubtful at first. The place looked well decorated with natural timber and plants, but from her experience with Macaron, healthy food was not tasty food, especially not when it was planned by the company. Above all, they never allowed her to eat much either.

Even though her contract said that there were no strict diets, it did say she had to remain healthy. If she refused advice from her dietitian, would she be breaking her contract?

Avaleigh shook her head quietly as she sat down.

But, to her surprise, Cleo handed her a menu and said, "Pick one main and one drink. We can share an entree."

Avaleigh looked at the menu. Everything looked delicious! And judging by the orders on the tables around her, the portion sizes were normal.

"A-Are you sure?" she stuttered.

"I've looked through their entire menu beforehand. You can order anything. It's all tasty and good for you," Cleo smiled. "Besides, I will make sure that you do a decent workout afterwards," Cleo added with a wink.

Avaleigh immediately flipped through the menu with excitement and her eyes fixed on a photo of a salad bowl. It contained pea and halloumi fritters, pumpkin purée, shaved zucchini, smashed avocado and a poached egg!

The presentation was beautiful, the ingredients sounded healthy, and it looked delicious.

"I want this!" Avaleigh squealed with excitement. She then flipped to the drinks menu and quickly picked out a banana smoothie as well.

Cleo pulled out a notebook and jotted it down.

"What are you writing?" Avaleigh asked.

"I'm keeping a food diary for you," she replied. "Everyone is different and they have a different metabolism. I want to keep track of what you eat and customize a plan that suits you."

Avaleigh's heart lit up when she saw this. Who knew the company would treat her so well!

But, her heart lit up even more when she saw the food arrive. It looked even better than in the photos!

She immediately grabbed her phone and started snapping photos of the food to share on her social media. How could she keep something so great to herself? She then took a photo of herself with Cleo and the food in front of them and posted it online as well. Underneath it, was a caption that read, 'Lunch with my new dietitian/chef/ personal trainer/friend! Here's to a new start!'.

As she put down her phone to dig into the food, likes and comments quickly flooded in:

"Where is that cafe? I want to go there too!"

"What are you eating today? It looks delicious!"

"A new start? Are you making a comeback?"

Avaleigh was so immersed in the food, she had no idea how popular her post was.

Nor did she know how popular she still was...
