It was almost midnight by the time that the team in Mongolia followed General Ganbat's instructions and located the base in the desert. The Captain had requested help from SWAT and gathered a team of 20 officers to search the base with him. Under Trisha's instructions, he drove them straight out to the base without giving them any information until they arrived. That way, no one could pass on any warnings. After all, Trisha was still unsure if there were any corrupt agents in the Mongolian Interpol and the Captain understood; The Organization seemed to have people around every corner. He had crossed paths with them in the past too and they weren't easy to deal with.
The police vehicles stopped a short distance from the base behind a sand dune and the Captain led the team covertly towards their target. The Captain had a camera strapped to his head and he was live-streaming the situation to Trisha who was watching in Hong Kong with her agents. Even though he was the Captain, Trisha was actually calling the shots.
"Hello everyone, this is Captain Hua from Hong Kong/Macau Interpol, you have been called out here today to assist in a search and rescue. We have two doctors from China that have been abducted and are currently being held inside this base against their will. Your main mission today is to find them and get them out of there alive. After you rescue them, your secondary mission is to take down the base and arrest everyone inside," Trisha explained through a microphone that was connected to earpieces that the officers had.
The officers nodded with understanding as they received their mission. Finally, with a clear idea of what they had to do, the team split into three and started searching the base. They had to be careful if they wanted to keep the two doctors alive, so they didn't just rush in and raid the complex. Instead, they hid quietly among the shadows.
As it was almost midnight, most of the people in the base were getting ready to go to sleep in their own tents. There were only a few guards patrolling the place, but the base had been around for 6-7 years with no issues, so they weren't on high alert. In fact, a few of the guards were even playing cards and gambling in the corner.
Trisha watched anxiously as the Captain of the Mongolian Interpol snuck around and peeked into a few tents. Some were empty and some had people, but none of them looked like the two doctors. Moreover, the base was a lot bigger than expected, so it wasn't easy to find the two men.
Just as she was starting to lose her patience, a young male voice suddenly said in their earpieces with a whisper, "Team Two reporting, possible target acquired. We are standing outside a tent containing two Chinese males that fit the profile of the two doctors. How should we proceed?"
Trisha's eyes immediately lit up with hope. "Let me see them," she ordered.
"OK," the Captain replied as he adjusted the camera on his head and started running across the base.
Trisha watched the Captain race across the base towards the other team. He then checked his surroundings and slowly peeked into the tent. Trisha held her breath in anticipation. Had they finally found the two doctors?
Sure enough, two Chinese men soon came into view. They were sitting restlessly inside the tent with exhausted expressions. There was one older gentleman and one younger one. As their faces came into view, Trisha jumped up to take a closer look. "Yes!" she screamed when she recognized their faces. "That's them! Get them out of there immediately!"
The officers heard the order and quickly did as told. They rushed into the tent and gestured for the men to hush, "We are here to rescue you..."
Dr. Li and Dr. Ren looked at the officers in surprise but quickly realized what was happening. Finally, someone had come for them; they thought they would never be found. Before they knew it, two officers shielded them and rushed them out of the base. It was a smooth rescue with no issues; they walked out of the base just as easily as they had walked in. The Organization had been so arrogant that they put their guard down and did not expect their base to be found. But, after the two doctors left the base and the SWAT team surrounded the complex, the people inside finally realized their mistake.
"You have been surrounded. Put down your weapons and surrender!" the Captain announced over a loudspeaker as a helicopter arrived overhead at that moment and shone a bright light onto the base. As he said this, he couldn't help but smile. This was the highlight of his career; he was actually taking down one of The Organization's bases!
Boginya stepped out of her tent and squinted her eyes as she looked around in shock. There were men in bulletproof vests and helmets pointing guns at her and a helicopter circling above her head.
"What's going on?" she growled at the patrolling guards. How did they get surrounded without any warning? They were in the middle of the desert and they had a clear view from all sides. How did the guards not see such a big team of SWAT officers approaching?
At that moment, she spotted some cards and money lying near the feet of the guards and she furrowed her brows as realization hit. "You f*cken pieces of trash!" she cursed.
But, before she could punish any of them, the SWAT team ran in, handcuffed her, and dragged her out of the base...
"You must be the infamous Boginya..." the Captain snickered as he restrained the woman.
Over in Hong Kong, Trisha watched as Boginya was captured and finally breathed a sigh of relief as she sat back in her chair. They did it! They had saved the two doctors, taken down the base, and captured Boginya. She leaned over the microphone and said proudly, "Good job, team. Mission success."
The other agents around her jumped up and cheered. It had been a tough week but it was finally over.
