Chapter 63 - 60: Stumble

Without a notice, four days had passed since Yeon Jun and Xiao Yun travel around Korea together. Sometimes they were also accompanied by Kang So who's always lively and cheerful, brightening the atmosphere between them. 

However, on those four days, whenever she look at the street of Korea. Xiao Yun would suffer from a slight headache that comes and goes in haste. Thinking that it was probably a small thing, she didn't pay much mind towards it and continues with her daily lives. 

Surely she had been looking, even more, brighter and cheerful, but hiding behind the mask of her laughs and joyful smile, each night whenever she's alone, her mind would wander to a daze. No matter how happy or how good her day was, her heart still lingers on the last time she saw Wang Li Lei's expression. 

Every time she looks at Yeon Jun, she would remember Li Lei. All this time, perhaps, she had been chasing for Li Lei's shadow on Yeon Jun. At first, Xiao Yun doesn't understand, why she could believe Yeon Jun-a stranger unconditionally. A person that she had never once met before, but deep somewhere in her heart, Yeon Jun reminded her of someone-someone that she forgot. Someone that she wasn't supposed to forget.

Nightmares also began to hunt her once again, guilts, cries, help and even curses from a young woman in her dream. Since her divorce the young woman kept on haunting her in her dream and day by day, the dream felt even more realistic.

That night too, as she slept a young woman appeared in her dream. Her face was hidden by the dark shadow of the night, but her voice sounded as if it could chill Xiao Yun's blood as she exclaim grievously, " Yu Xiao Yun! What did you do! What have you done?! How dare you! How could you! How could you do that to the person I love!"

Startled by her horrendous voice, Xiao Yun stumble backward in fear, but before she could move her feet, numerous hand pull her legs downward. Swallowing her body inside a dark hole along with the echoing shoutings and curses. 

" Yu Xiao Yun!! Let me go! He is mine! " Like a flash of lightning, the woman suddenly appears in front of Xiao Yun. Her face looks horrendous with black eyes and streams of blood bellow her eyes. The woman raises her hand to the halted Xiao Yun and grips her neck madly. Xiao Yun grunts in pain as her long, sharp red nails dig to Xiao Yun's skin deeper. Slowly streams of blood flow down to her collar bone. 

The woman suddenly let out a spine chilling laugh, whispering next to Xiao Yun's ears threateningly, " Yu Xiao Yun, let me take over you. Give him back to me!-Give me back my Wang Li Lei! " 

Xiao Yun shook her head desperately trying to make the woman release her unyielding grip by scratching. But whatever she tried to do she couldn't break loose from the monstrous grip.

The woman pulls Xiao Yun even closer, whispering next to her ear. " If you can't do it, let me take over you! "

Tears flooded out from the corner of her eyes. Although she couldn't understand what the woman was saying, for some reason, she was scared-she was scared of the woman. She was scared of losing to this woman, but she was utterly powerless against her. 

As the woman's grip tightens, Xiao Yun could only scream as loudly as she could until her voice became hoarse and shut her eyes tightly " -No!! " 

Awake from the nightmare, Xiao Yun's hand trembles out of control. Tears and cold sweat drenches her nightgown. The nightmare felt too real that her body shivers whenever she remember the words that the woman shouted. 

Amidst her fear, the only thing she could remember was the low tone voice of Li Lei whispering her " It's alright" like what he had done in the past. 

Xiao Yun curls her legs and hugs it while trying to calm herself while clutching onto a golden ring that she made into a pendant towards her chest as if it is the only thing that could protect her. Only a word could be heard from her mumblings, " L-Li... Lei. "
