Aiden's face immediately looked grim, "Where did that bike disappear?"
"Madam left her bicycle in front of the flower shop because she knew the owner. However, the flower shop was closed at half past ten. When they found out that no one was guarding them, the thief came and destroyed the lock on her bicycle." Abdi said.
Aiden immediately called Harris, "Harris, someone's bicycle has been stolen. Immediately check all the CCTV around this place and look for the bike."
"Very well, sir." Harris immediately accepted the order.
A few minutes later, Harris was tracking the bicycle thief and sending the location of the thief to Aiden.
"Abdi, follow Anya back home. Harris and I will catch the thief!" From afar, he could see Anya on foot, down the road looking for her bike.
If Anya had looked closer, she would find Aiden's car.
However, her bad mood and chaotic feelings made her ignore her surroundings. She wasn't just sad because her bike was missing, but also because she was waiting for Aiden, who turned out didn't come. She was really happy when she heard the news from Hana and looked forward to Aiden's arrival. She really wanted to make up with Aiden. But that was just her wish. Aiden was still angry with her and didn't want to see her.
"Yes sir. I will follow her from behind." Abdi said as he got out of the car.
"Do not disturb her. She is in a bad mood." Abdi added.
"Yes sir," Abdi rushed to follow Anya so as not to lose track of her. He kept his distance so that Anya couldn't see him, but also not too far away so he could take care of Anya if something happened.
Anya walked down the street without looking back at all so she didn't realize that Abdi was following her.
"Anya, why are you walking home? Where's your electric bike?" Hana asked with worry.
"Mrs. Hana ..." Anya's lips trembled as she tried to hold back her tears. She immediately ran and hugged Hana, looking for warmth from anyone who could provide it, "Someone stole my bicycle. The police said it was difficult to catch the thief and find the bike again."
"Who would dare steal your bicycle! How insolent. The police will definitely catch them and find your bike back!" Hana said, comforting Anya while patting her on the back.
Anya just cried in Hana's arms. She couldn't complain to Hana that the husband she was waiting for didn't even come to pick her up. Her heart really hurt.
Hana also felt sad when she heard Anya's cries, "Anya, don't cry. Take a shower and rest. Maybe, your bike will be found tomorrow."
"Really?" Anya asked, still in tears.
"I'm sure we can find it. Areas around the housing are still well ordered. Many officers patrol every night. So, there must be someone who can find the bicycle." Hana tried to persuade her.
"Okay, I will go back to the room." Anya went upstairs languidly.
At the same time, Aiden and Harris were heading to the bicycle's thief.
Aiden knew how important the electric bicycle was to Anya. She always rode the bike to go to her flower park.
Lately, when Abdi did not take her to work, she also used the bicycle to go to work.
Aiden could've bought a new electric bicycle for her, even better than before. But he knew that the new bicycle would not be able to replace Anya's old bicycle.
During her stay at Aiden's house, Anya felt like she did not have anything. The bed she slept in was not hers. The car she was driving was not hers. Even the clothes she was wearing didn't belong to her. The bike was all she had, while the rest belonged to Aiden.
And this time, Anya lost the only thing she had.
Therefore, Aiden had to help her find the bike.
When Aiden and Harris approached the bicycle's thief, the thief looked very nervous, "Who are you and what do you want?"
Aiden's eyes were cold and sharp like knives. His body emitted a killing aura. He was really angry and upset.
Without saying anything, he kicked the thief down.
Harris was just as angry. He had just taken a shower and was about to sleep, but Aiden suddenly called him just because of this damn thief.
Their anger was so great that they beat the thief blindly.
"Stop! I have no money. Please let me go!" The thief bowed down and asked for mercy.
"I don't want your money. I can see you have no money. The bike is not yours." Harris grunted irritably. Usually he was always calm in doing anything. But this time, his rest had been interrupted, making him even more grumpy than usual.
"Bike?" The thief was stunned, "I will return the bike. I'll never steal again."
Not far from the place, the sound of the police's siren was heard. Aiden and Harris hurried away when they found out that the police would handle everything.
…
Anya had just finished taking a shower when her cell phone rang.
She immediately took the call and a loud voice was heard from the other end of the line, "Good evening, this is from the police station. Is it true that I speak to Miss Anya?"
"Yes, I am Anya. Has my bicycle been found?" Anya asked excitedly.
"Yes. One of the citizens called the police and caught the thief. Your bike is now in the police station. Please take it." Said the policeman.
"Thank you very much, Mr. Police!" Anya was so excited that she wanted to jump.
After hanging up the phone, Anya ran downstairs and shouted loudly, "Mrs. Hana, I've found my bike."
Hana just chuckled when she heard it, "I told you. Now rest! It is late. Good night!"
"Good night, Mrs. Hana!" Anya returned to her room happily.
When Aiden returned, the lights in the second floor guest room had been turned off. It looked like Anya had gone sleeping.
Hana welcomed him and took the car keys from Aiden's hand, "Sir, Anya is asleep."
"How is her condition?" Aiden asked expressionlessly.
"Anya was crying uncontrollably when she came home. When her bike was found, she was finally able to sleep in peace. I called her and asked her to wait for you at the bus stop. Who would have thought that someone would steal her bicycle." Hana said, feeling a little guilty.
The expression on Aiden's face immediately changed after hearing Hana's words. Was Anya waiting for him? Was he the person Anya was waiting for at the bus stop?
"When did you call her?"
"After you left with Abdi, I called her and told her so that you two could meet. What happened?" Hana asked, confused.
"No, nothing!" Aiden's feelings were mixed.
"Anya was very happy when she found out that you were going to pick her up. That damn thief has made her sad." Hana said irritably.
"I didn't pick her up. I went to take care of work's matters." Aiden said coldly as he walked upstairs.
Hana was stunned when she heard that. It seemed she had given Anya false hopes and made her lose her bike. Hana could only shake her head in disappointment.
…
That night, Aiden couldn't sleep. Without Anya beside him, without his wife in his arms, he felt that something was missing.
At two in the morning, Aiden walked quietly out of his room and stood in front of the guest room's door.
His hand touched the door, wondering whether to enter or not ...
