"Was it good?" Arka picked her up and took her to the bathroom to clean her body.
Sabrina felt very embarrassed. She buried her face in Arka's chest, not daring to lift her head and look at the man's face again.
The warm water washed over her entire body, making her tense muscles instantly limp. Her tiredness was fading away and Sabrina was getting more and more conscious.
She could feel Arka's temperature but then she bit Arka's shoulder in annoyance.
"Ouch!" Arka frowned because Sabrina's bite this time was quite painful. He half closed his eyes as he looked at her. "Why do you like to bite?"
"Because you are dangerous," Sabrina looked at him.
Arka laughed. "I just wanted to help you remember the night from three years ago. Do you remember this time?"
Sabrina immediately hit Arka's chest in annoyance. It felt like she wanted to find a place to hide and run away from there.
"Are you shy?" Arka laughed. His voice was hoarse from the growls and groans that had escaped his lips during the previous few hours. His voice sounded enchanting.
Sabrina didn't say anything. She averted her gaze again shyly.
Arka hugged her tightly and then carried her back to the bed. He placed Sabrina in the center of his large bed gently. "Would you like to stay here? I want to see your face when you wake up tomorrow."
"I must go home. Otherwise, my parents would have asked where I was staying. It's hard to answer," Sabrina whispered.
"Tomorrow, I will go to your parents' house and ask for their blessing to marry you," Arka took Sabrina's hand and kissed the back of her hand gently, precisely on the left ring finger which is where the wedding ring will be.
Sabrina looked at Arka while raising her eyebrows. "Who wants to marry you? I still don't know who to choose!"
"Who do you want to choose besides me?" Arka looked at her intently.
"I still have to think. Who should I marry?" Sabrina asked with a serious face.
"It's me. Because I need you and you need me," after saying that, Arka licked her lips. He climbed onto the bed again, on top of Sabrina to be exact.
Previously, he had intended to let her rest for fear of the girl being exhausted or in pain. However, Sabrina challenged him instead…
Apparently, it was a waste of their bath just now because they would be sweating again.
Maybe this time, they'd be sweating more profusely because Arka wouldn't stop after doing it once. He will show no mercy to Sabrina and make her realize that he is the only one she needs in her life.
…
A few hours later, Sabrina was fast asleep. Arka looked at her with a satisfied smile on his lips.
He lowered his head and kissed Sabrina's forehead gently. Then, he put the blanket on the girl and closed the door carefully.
The news on the internet today is filled with Arka and Sabrina's faces. So far, he has never been involved in any news. He tries to avoid the news and the media. But for Sabrina's sake, he didn't mind showing their affection openly.
Since the news had spread so quickly, Arka knew for sure that Sabrina's parents had read it too.
Arka immediately took the initiative to call Raka. "Uncle, this is Arka. I want to ask permission for Sabrina to stay at my house because she is drunk right now," he said calmly.
Raka cleared his throat slowly. He knew that his daughter was getting older and sooner or later, there would be a man who would snatch her from his side.
Even though he had prepared himself long ago, a feeling of reluctance still lingered in his heart. He was still not willing to see the arrival of that day.
"How's it going?" Raka asked.
"We are good. Uncle, I really love Sabrina and I promise you I will treat her well," Arka said sincerely.
Della took her husband's arm and put her ear to Raka's cell phone. She smiled with satisfaction when she heard Arka's promise over the phone.
Although Raka felt uncomfortable, he didn't talk much. "Please take good care of her. If there's anything else you want to talk about, we'll talk about it tomorrow," after that, he ended the call.
Della put her hand on Raka's shoulder and said with a smile, "Why is your face like that? Our daughter found her true love. Isn't that a good thing?"
Raka patted his wife's hand and said, "You won't be able to understand my feelings."
"You think there is no other man who loves Sabrina as much as you, huh? There would be no other man who could treat her like a precious pearl, not even the three sons of the Atmajaya Family, right? The three kids you've known since they were little..." Della smiled and rested her head on Raka's shoulder. "You're worried Sabrina won't be happy, worried that you'll lose her. And you're even more afraid of her picking the wrong person."
Raka sat on the sofa with a stiff body.
He said in a weak voice, "You are a woman and you will not be able to understand. But I am a man and I know better than anyone. In this world, there is only one kind of love that is unselfish, which does not demand and does not expect anything in return, and that is the love of a father. Meanwhile, love from another man requires reciprocity."
"If the man loves her because she is beautiful, he will lose his love for her once her beauty disappears. If a man loves her because she is young, he will lose his love once she gets older. There is no love as sincere as a father's love for his daughter. What if Arka regrets his choice one day? I don't know, I just….. I'm not ready for what the future holds."
"I don't know what kind of love Sabrina got. Even though Arka has always loved her, can his love be compared to ours, her parents? Can his love be compared to my love for Sabrina?"
It was the first time Della had heard Raka say something like this. "All fathers will feel the same way. They will all treat their daughter's lover as an enemy."
"Della, I'm afraid Arka won't love Sabrina forever. If he can't love her forever, it's better for Sabrina not to get married." Finally, Raka revealed what was in his heart.
Della looked at her husband in surprise. "Why do you think like that? Why did you decide for Sabrina not to marry just because of your worries? She has grown up and she has the right to determine her own path in life. In this world, there is one more person who loves our daughter as much as we do. She will have her own family, have her own child one day. She has to go through all of that in order for her life to feel complete."
Raka didn't say anything. He just looked at the blooming orchids outside the window.
Raising a daughter is like caring for flowers. He took very good care of her, raised her to bloom beautifully. But in the end, the flower was approached by annoying insects.
Arka is the winner because he is a man of Sabrina's choice. But no one can answer Raka's question— how long can Arka's love for Sabrina last? Only time can answer that.
There was a huge commotion going on on the internet and Anya was constantly monitoring it. But when she tried to contact Raka's cell phone, the call was not connected.
Aiden came to her on the sofa and put his arm around her shoulder. "Anya, there is no need to wait for it. Just rest."
Anya shook her head, refusing to return to her room. "I want to wait for a call from Arka. He'll call me back."
"Auntie, is this news about Brother Arka and Sis Sabrina true?" Bella asked excitedly.
Anya looked at Bella and asked, "Have you forgotten about what auntie said?"
"Auntie, don't worry. I'll keep my mouth shut tight. I know that family disgrace should not be exposed in public. But this is happy news, isn't it? I'm happy too!" Bella has a character like her mother. She was very honest, saying everything that was on her mind.
