Lu Wanwan still remembered that teenager who was bullied every day at school, his eyes were clear as water and the air around his body was all clean.

He did everything she requested. He didn’t speak a lot of words in a day.

When they first got together, Lu Wanwan felt that Shen Yi didn’t like her much, perhaps he reluctantly agreed to date her because of the fact that she had helped him a few times.

Lu Wanwan remembered particularly clearly, later there was a time, during that youth period where Lu Zhouzhi was rebellious. He made a fuss and ran away from home, they looked for him an entire  night without finding him.

Lu Wanwan at that time was young. Hearing on the news that dozens of boys had died because of street racing on motorbikes, she was so worried she cried.

At three o’clock in the morning, she was tossing and turning in bed, unable to sleep.

She took out her phone from under her pillow, her cheeks were dripping with tears. She called Shen Yi, sobbing.

Just as the other end of the line got connected, Lu Wanwan, who was hiding under the covers, cried with a low voice. She even forgot what she had babbled about, she just remembered saying a lot of words.

“Wu wu wu wu wu are you there? I can’t sleep.”

“I didn’t disturb your sleep on purpose, I’m just too upset.”

“You know, right ? I have a disobedient brother, he ran away from home today I’m so scared of something happening to him.”

There was a sudden loud clasp of thunder in the sky and Lu Wanwan’s entire body shivered with fear. She cried even harder, her tears simply wouldn’t stop.

As heavy rain poured down, the sky looked torn apart.

The more she spoke, the more energetic she became, she finally said a sentence: “Can you come find me? Come and hug me.”

Shen Yi, who bad been listening to her quietly, suddenly opened his mouth and replied: “Yes.”

The call was never hung up.

Lu Wanwan was suffocating in the blanket, sobbing. As she listened to the voice on the other end, her heart gradually calmed down.

After about half an hour, Lu Wanwan heard him say, “I’m in front of your house, downstairs, do you want to come down?”

Lu Wanwan couldn’t believe it and let out an  “Ah !”

Shen Yi said, “Come down.” He let out a seemingly muffled laugh: “I also want to hug you.”

Back then, Lu Wanwan’s face was as if on fire while her neck and ears also turned red.

She shyly said, “Then you wait for me.”

Lu Wanwan, in her nightgown and cotton slippers, sneaked furtively from her bedroom to the living room, before opening the door and running out.

The slender young man, with a black umbrella, was standing by the street lamp, quietly and prettily, like a person in a painting.

Lu Wanwan flew over to him, with burning cheeks, “It’s raining so heavily, how come you actually came over ?”

Shen Yi, looking at the nightgown on her body, asked, “Aren’t you cold?”

Lu Wanwan who had just come out of her nest felt it was fine. She shook her head, “I’m not cold ah.”

Shen Yi held up the umbrella on top of her head, thus most of his own body was exposed instead. He wrapped one arm around her waist and pressed the person in his embrace.

“Come, I’ll hug you.”

Lu Wanwan was stunned as she leaned in his embrace. Listening to the powerful heartbeat in the teenager’s chest, her cheeks felt hotter and hotter.

They were half a city away, yet braving the heavy rain, he happily and willingly ran over.

At that moment, she felt that Shen Yi loved her.

Lu Wanwan did not continue to think about the past any longer, she changed clothes and went outside to buy breakfast. The store owner even gave her a newspaper.

The main character on the newspaper was not someone else, but her husband Shen Yi.

The headline was eye-catching [Shen family’s mysterious second son is meeting Gu family’s daughter privately, a prestigious family with another prestigious family, they’re suited for each other].

Lu Wanwan read it with great interest, the gossip reporters was simply better at writing love stories than romance writers.

With just a picture of them, they made up a beautiful childhood love story.

The way the story between Shen Yi and Gu Sheng was written made it deeply-moving.

Reading it, even she felt it was sweet.

Lu Wanwan didn’t throw away the newspaper after reading it. She wasn’t even angry.

She would be happy to see Shen Yi and Gu Sheng become a pair.

Unfortunately, the photos on the newspaper were too blurry, and the two people on the picture were separated by a meter, so there was any sign of ambiguity.

Lu Wanwan felt it was a pity and shook her head, thinking inside that Gu Sheng was also a bit miserable, she only had eyes for Shen Yi, but the male lead didn’t even look at her.

A little past eleven o’clock, Shen Yi came back home to make lunch for her.

When he was choosing the vegetables, his gaze fell on the newspaper on the table, he smiled, unconcerned, his gaze subtle.  Lu Wanwan, with her hands on her chin, was leisurely and lazily looking at him.

She still had to play the part.

“Pa”, she threw the newspaper in front of him, intending to be harsh, but not knowing whether her acting was good or not.

She sneered and said, “Shen Yi, you better give me a good explanation.”

Shen Yi placed his hands on the edge of the table, trapping the lovely ferocious woman within his domain. Just as he opened his mouth, he was interrupted by her.

“Forget it, you’d better not explain, I’m afraid I’ll get more angry when I hear it.” She felt diffident  because of the pressure of Shen Yi’s imposing posture, yet she absolutely wanted to pretend to be tough and order him around, “Go to the kitchen, you’re not allowed to come out until my anger subsides.”

Her long and slender eyelashes were trembling, she was very scared, but still refused to admit defeat.
