She Knows Who Is The Good Man
“After meeting him, I would have to meet the boss of a hardware store. My mother just sent me his contact.”
Xia Bohe’s voice grew softer and softer.
Meanwhile, she checked the status of ‘Delicately Lovable’. There were still five minutes left!
She tilted her head. Her washed, damp black hair fell onto the side of her face, moving away to reveal an expanse of her fair, slender neck.
The tone of her voice lightened. She paused momentarily, then continued talking.
“I wanted to go home on the weekend to have dinner with your grandfather...and you as well.”
“But...my mother insists that I meet up with these people. If I do not agree, she would call the dormitory, and if I am not there, she would go to the school and cause a ruckus…”
The original host had been utterly embarrassed after her mother rushed to the dormitory once in the past.
After that incident, Mi Min, her roommate, came to know that the original host had a poor and uninfluential family. She then spread the news regarding her family’s rural background within the faculty.
Resentment and embarrassment filled Xia Bohe as she recalled this particular memory. Her breath turned uneven.
It was the first time Luo Tianlin heard about this incident.
He always maintained a calm demeanor, but a slight ripple of shock washed over his stern features after hearing what she said.
“Why have you not mentioned this before?” he asked.
Before they got married, his grandfather had told him about Xia Bohe’s past experiences and advised him to marry her. However, he had assumed that she was a gold-digger and simply wanted to get married into a wealthy family. Thus, he had always thought that the stories were exaggerated as it was just one of the tricks she had used to obtain his grandfather’s sympathy.
It turned out that the truth was even more appalling than what he had been told then.
He looked down at her with a thoughtful look on his face. Her coquettish voice trembled as she shivered from head to toe.
It was obvious that she was really afraid of her mother.
However, she was reluctant to tell her mother about their marriage as she did not want to bring him any trouble.
“Give me your mother’s contact number.”
Luo Tianlin said, his deep voice resonating.
Xia Bohe raised her head with a slight tremble. Her face had a teardrop that just slid down.
Luo Tianlin was overcome with a sense of agitation. “I will help you settle it,” he said.
“Don’t give her money!”
Xia Bohe shouted out immediately.
If he were to give money to the original host’s mother, who thrived off her, she would rather he gave her the money instead.
Luo Tianlin gazed at her deeply. “I have my ways,” he said.
Xia Bohe nodded immediately. The other tear that had formed in her eye then slid down her face as well!
After all, a woman must stimulate a man’s desire to be protective of her.
She also had to make him feel an encroaching sense of crisis.
If he insisted on getting a divorce, she would just get remarried to a fifty-year-old man. There would be no problem! She would see if he was afraid of losing her now!
The thought of his wife being together with a man that could not even be compared with him one day in the future would definitely make him feel uncomfortable.
There was a saying that a man can lose, but only to one mightier than him.
He had such a strong desire for victory.
Luo Tianlin definitely would not stand by the side and watch her get remarried to some lousy man and do nothing about it.
“Also, I did not send that text,” she added.
Xia Bohe nibbled her lip.
“I don’t even like that senior to begin with. He, he is not even as...handsome as you are.”
“He has enlarged pores, oily skin, and a stubby nose. Besides that, his legs are half the length of yours. He cannot be compared to you at all,” she described.
Luo Tianlin was holding his phone up as he prepared to snap a photo of her mother’s phone number. His long, slender pointer finger stopped midway in the air after registering what she had said.
Xia Bohe gritted her teeth. She tried her best to bite her lips till they were a bright red as there were only three seconds left till the effect of ‘Delicately Lovable’ was over.
Her lips turned red like a peach blossoming in spring.
“Unless I am blind...”
“...And cannot differentiate between good and bad,” she continued.
“Otherwise, I can tell who is truly a good man.”
