Quinn moved closer and said in a low voice.
" Brat! You should know when to admit defeat. Better accept my deal, or I will ensure that this firm has no people left. You know what I mean, right?"
Marilyn, Abigail and Alastair also heard him. Marilyn wanted to protest, but Samuel lifted his hand, stopping her.
" I think you are mistaken. It was a nice play, but unfortunately for everyone, the climax was weak. Marilyn, give him the files." Samuel said, and Marilyn promptly followed the order.
" It's no use. Whatever it is, I will not back down."
" First, look at it," Samuel said commandingly. Quinn was dissatisfied but opened the envelope. Looking at the files made him sweat profusely, and he began to scan the other pages. The more he read, the paler his face became.
" T-this should not exist! I destroyed everything!"
" Too bad for you, but your partner wanted to keep the original for future usage."
Quinn fell to his knees as he lost strength in his body. He glanced up to see Samuel's glistening green eyes and handsome face. He made a big mistake; Samuel was a wolf in sheep's clothing.
He saw a tint of red flash across Samuel's iris for a moment. He became paranoid and began hyperventilating. It made him feel like he was seeing the devil. How can a little boy be this ruthless and cunning?
Seeing his friend's condition, their condition was not much better. To make Quinn bow down with a simple piece of paper, What magic did the child use?
" You, move this mutt aside," Samuel ordered a bystander. He stepped forward toward the exit and stood in front of the protesters.
They became rowdy seeing him, but he cleared his throat and began his speech.
" Who gave you the right to mess with the company's property?" He shouted.
Hearing this, the protesters became agitated and began berating him.
" Brat! We are fighting for our rights!"
" I will surely sue the company. Look at the gall of these people asking us this question."
" Yeah, we must also inform the authorities. Since she is here, they must be up to no good."
" Right!"
" Silence! " One of the guards said sternly, noticing that his boss was about to say something.
"These rights that you speak of belong to the official employees. You all no longer belong to this firm. Pack up your stuff and move out by the end of the day." Samuel said again, agitating the crowd.
" Haha, look at this! He thinks that he could do as he pleases."
" This is not your playground! You can't fire someone with probable cause."
" That's why I told you that it was no good news. How can someone like him lead our company?"
When the crowd's voices died down a little, Samuel gave them the news that shattered their spirits.
"A few minutes ago, It came to light that Mr. Quinn, who was tasked with the firm, is suspected to be involved in several illegal activities," Samuel said and nodded toward a guard.
The guard tossed a few stacks of paper toward the protester. These were the same ones that he gave to Quinn earlier.
" These are his crimes. Suspected Insider trading, Money Laundering, embezzlement of company funds, sexual harassment, bribing the officials...." Samuel began listing his crimes as the crowd stayed silent. He turned toward them and gave his final verdict.
" labor laws cite the following reasons that justify termination for cause—willful insubordination or disobedience; that's strike one. Theft, fraud, or dishonesty, My lawyers could probably fit one of those for a reason. That's strike two; willful damage to or loss of employer's goods; I have seen the state of the office; if it was a peaceful protest, you all probably avoided it; that's strike three; partaking of bribes or any illegal gratification, there are some rats among you which makes it stike four.
Last but not least, the conspiracy that makes it strike five. Although I may be a child, I know how to read and write. Now scram if you want to avoid being sued into oblivion.
And don't worry, I am a generous person. I will add today's pay to your paycheck." after saying his piece Samuel entered the building again while the crowd was dumbfounded about what just happened.
They began pleading, but the guard quickly blocked the entrance. They regretted their decision to go against Samuel but could only swallow defeat.
Some people just went with the flow; they were not bad but gave in to peer pressure. They were the biggest loser in this situation.
Meanwhile, Samuel entered to find about ten employees standing behind a single man. Manan, the head of the Investment department, was the only one not involved in the incident.
" Boss, I am sorry. I wanted to stop them, but no one listened. These are only people who heeded my warning." Manan said.
" It's okay. I suspected something when I first met him. It will be easy to hire dependable people now that we have many vacancies."
" That was one slimy bastard, but you handled it perfectly, Kid!" Alastair praised.
" Who are you calling a kid? He is the boss. You really haven't changed one bit!" Abigail smacked Alastair for his rude behavior.
" I don't mind. As long as you work hard." Samuel said and smiled. He began to understand Alastair's personality and knew he was only joking.
" But will it really be alright? I know you are prepared but that Quinn guy will definitely retaliate." Abigail asked.
" Senior is right. I can see it on his face. The scheming types are always a pain on the ass to deal with." Alastair supported her idea.
" Don't worry. If he still didn't learn his lesson, I will ensure there will be no next time." Samuel said. He was not worried about him that much.
" Come, we have something to discuss." He turned toward one of the guards and said--
" Make sure everyone involved in this incident leaves the building by tomorrow. You don't have to go easy on them." The guard heard his orders and left the group alone.
The remaining people occupied a vacant meeting room. As Samuel took center stage.
" Ok, First, I will introduce myself again. I am Samuel Rothschild; I don't mind the formalities, so you can talk casually and ask questions freely."
" Now, I will explain something but be aware that no one would disclose any information outside. If you have any problem, you can leave the room. I will not blame you, but if you stay and betray me in the future, you could only blame it on your stupidity." Samuel said in a severe tone seeing which some of them flinched but remained seated.
This was an opportunity of a lifetime working directly for the boss. Sensing that everyone was onboard Samuel continued--
" The first step is Abigail will be overseeing the whole firm. I might not be present daily, so she would be your boss."
" Next, recruitment. I want you, Abigail, to find the best traders. Others, too, if you have someone trustworthy, you can refer that person. But you should inform them beforehand of the severity of working here."
" We also need other people to fill up the posts. Try the head hunter agencies to pick the best matches. Money is not a problem; make sure they have good characters."
The group nodded. There were no questions as of yet.
" Next, Marilyn, give everyone the file," Samuel asked Marilyn.
Marilyn forwarded a stack of paper and distributed them to everyone.
" This is the plan you must follow for the next year. Read it first; I will answer your questions after that."
After reading, Manan asked for permission.
" Just raise your hand. Ask away."
" This is incredible; who wrote this?"
" It was me. I needed some plan, so I decided to study for a few days."
"Is that possible?" Abigail exclaimed. She knew some information but believed it came from Rothschild family analysts.
" Don't be surprised. Just say that I have a knack for numbers."
" What will I be doing?" Alastair didn't find anything related to him in the papers. They were stock analysis and prediction.
" You don't have much to do now, but I have several companies in my target. I will have to acquire these company shares when the inevitable crash happens. In the meantime, you must do your due diligence and have your team formulate a plan and discover the hidden identities of small and medium investors."
" Not you are talking! But I will need more manpower. Will it be alright if I hire some more people?"
" Go ahead but make sure they are reliable. Money is not a problem. Coordinate with Abigail and do some head hunting."
" Manan and the rest, You will be responsible for buying with the thought that the market will make a huge move upward. Follow the plan and buy anything and everything but be sure to be discreet."
" Yes, sir."
" It will be smooth sailing for a few months, so gain as much as you can. Marilyn will provide the funds in the company account. Talk with the bank to obtain some leverage if possible. You know what to do."
" Ok"
" Ok good job. Get to work, then we have much to do." Samuel encouraged his team as they left to do as instructed.
If everything went smoothly, he would increase his wealth exponentially in a few months.
