" That's impossible!" Flint asked.
" Find out who is responsible for it. There may be some external force responsible." Baroness Dunn ordered her secretary.
" S-she is right. We can't afford this at the moment."
It was chaos inside the room. Everyone was ordering their subordinates, yelling in desperation. On the other hand, Sir John was holding his head; he could not believe it.
His plan was falling in front of him, which made him freeze in the face of sudden adversity. He composed himself by breathing slowly; he couldn't fall apart now.
" Search our client history, ask everyone to find if anyone offended someone recently. Also find out about the companies who requested to cease their business with us. We may find some clue in there." John formulated a plan to move forward.
He knew such an attack must have come from someone very influential. Not everyone could make such a move.
The whole building was searching for clues when someone noticed the common thread. While everyone was focusing on company origins, he broke down the shareholder list to find the link.
As soon as he saw the link, He ran to the upper floors of the chairman's office to report his findings.
He knocked on the door, making John answer from the other side.
" Yes? Did you find something, Jerry?" John asked. He couldn't remember every employee's face, but Jerry was a model employee who occasionally earned the 'employee of the month' award.
" Yes, sir! I think I found who is responsible for it." He said in an enthusiastic tone. It's only sometimes that he gets to meet the chairman. He presented some of the documents as proof.
" Just tell me. Who is it?" John didn't have the time to look through it, so he asked directly.
" It's the Rothschild Consortium sir! Most of the companies either fully own by them or they are the major shareholders. I am certain they are responsible."
" Rothschild? T-thats, Did we do something wrong? Have you look into the cause?"
" No sir, They are giants that support most of the financial sectors from the shadows. We give them special treatment with our services."
" But How can you explain this? Find out about it-" John ordered him when his secretary barged into the room.
" Sir, We are in deep trouble!"
" What happened now?" John was getting tired of receiving bad news.
" I heard from my colleagues below about a certain meeting in the morning. Sir, You must remember Abigail from two years ago right?"
" Yeah, that was definately a huge scandal for our company. I don't know much about it because I was closing deals in foreign countries."
" She along with her employer visited Young master Ryan's office this morning. From what they could hear, Ryan and his friends humiliated them on the stop and refused to cooperate."
" It's that brat again! What did the problem?"
" Ryan banned their company account on the expense of suspicious activity. We don't have any such loggs but He must have done it because of Abigail."
" If Ryan had the power to make that decision, it must have been a small company. It doesn't explain why the Rothschild consortium is attacking us."
" No sir! I did some digging, the owner of that small firm is Samuel Rothschild. The youngest heir to the throne, the one you met during the Royal ceremony."
" W-what? A-are you s-sure?"
" Yes sir. I looked into it myself."
John was perplexed; it was not an issue that he could deal with alone. He ordered an emergency meeting and also invited Ryan and his group. This may become a massive opportunity for him.
He always hated them, and this time he would teach them a strict lesson. But at the same time, he had to decide how they should resolve the issue.
In only ten minutes, the room was jam-packed with employees. They chose a more enormous hall to accommodate seniors along with middle-ranked personnel. John took center stage and began addressing the group.
He first explained who was responsible for it. People became confused and scared when they heard the Rothschilds' name.
This is a sleeping giant that no one in the world wants to provoke, but somehow their company which was on the brink of a breakthrough deal ended up offending.
" We haven't done anything wrong? Isn't it bullying?"
" Right! We can sue them in court right? We should fight it head on."
" They also receives our special services, do they think we will take it lying down?"
" Chairman, we will support you. Just say the word."
John was angry seeing these mindless buffoons speaking out like idiots. Most of them were young hotshots from prominent families who didn't know how the world worked.
" Shut the fuck up! Do you think we are so great? We will be out of business in a month if they truly want it. Why do you think they suddenly decided to target us?" John shouted, which made them quiet.
Everyone became eager for his answer, but he asked Ryan and his group instead.
" You, What did you do this morning?"
They were a little drunk as they were celebrating their morning accomplishments. That was when they heard about the meeting, typically, they were never included, but today they were explicitly called for it.
Ryan took it as a sign of respect. He knew that John didn't like him, but with his Grandfather's help, he knew that no one could touch him inside the company.
But he was caught off-guard by John's question.
" This morning? Just had small meeting with a acquaintance. It was nothing serious. Why do you ask?"
" Have you perhaps met a child with white hair? Did you do something to him?"
" What are you talking about? I did nothing wrong, just taught those peasants a lesson."
"Lesson?"
" Man, they were bitching and moaning about their company. I gave them a change to beg but they stormed off and dared to threaten me. Me? They must be crying at the moment regretting it. Hehe"
John was taken aback. He never thought this little shit was bragging about it so openly without knowing how atrocious his actions were.
He got up and walked toward Ryan with an angry expression. Listening to him going on and on about it made him angry.
Looking at the incoming John, Ryan was intimidated. He could feel the hostile aura John was emanating but could never have guessed that he would be punched in the face without any warning.
John began to beat the shit out of him, after which he focused on the other two. He had already confirmed they were there when the incident occurred. So, he didn't hold his punches.
Sir John Bonde was a military man raised through the ranks because of his flawless career. He was not weak, and his every slap and punch resonated with the whole room.
Baroness and Flint watched in horror but reacted when they saw Ryan and others' bloody faces.
" John! Stop it!" He lunged with some other employees to stop the madman, who was now cursing all sorts of profanities.
" John, you are going too far. How dare you hit my nephew? This is power harassment." Baroness Dunn bellowed.
" Shut up! These good for nothing should repent for what they did. Do you even know the person they enjoyed humiliating was Samuel Rothschild? The yougest heir to the family consortium. " John lost his decency at this point.
He was usually a calm person but seeing their smug faces irritated him.
" Tell me? How can we resolve this? He basically committed a crime by suspending their accounts. Do you think they would let us go? We worked so hard to get where we stand but because of this little shit we lost everything." John screamed to get his message along.
Most of the people present here were shareholders of the company. It was their fortune that was at stake. Even timid people began to berate Ryan and his group sensing the danger.
" This! We have to do something. We have to apologize sincerely."
" I always knew that something like this will happen. They are practically drunk all the time."
" Shit! Shit! Won't they forgive us if we hand them over?"
" Good idea! It may be our only choice. Chairman please do something."
" He should beg for forgiveness. We can't go down like this."
" Rothschild are ruthless. Hanson family is a good example of it. We are no where near their level."
Some blamed Ryan and his group, and others disparaged sensing the upcoming doom. Many of them blamed the senior officers for neglecting and spoiling their relatives. It was a complete pushback against the system, starting to show cracks.
People would ignore the evils and wrongs until they began concerning them. And they were concerned about losing their job and status.
" Quiet! I will take full responsibility for it! But we must find a solution first." Flint shouted. After hearing John, he felt like hitting Ryan, but he controlled himself. He would deal with him later.
" We can fight later. We must save the company at the moment. It is contained for now but if the incident reaches our large investors or public it will be disastrous." Baroness supported Flint's decision. She was disappointed with her nephew as she completely ignored him.
Her personality was always like this, once she lost trust in a person, she would never consider them an option. Brian sensed it as he slumped down on the floor; he knew his life was over.
He knew that look as he had witnessed it many times. He was basically discarded trash that his aunt would never look at twice again.
" S-sir, If I say something?" Jerry asked meekly.
Everyone turned toward him as he nervously continued.
" I may have a solution."
