The vehicle was driving smoothly along the upper-class area of Los Angeles; Samuel peered through the window and sighed.
The city was truly beautiful, very different from the London area which he was used to. He could relate to why many people wanted to move to the States, as there were countless opportunities all around the corner waiting to be explored.
It was right after the crash, but everything was still as lively; he began thinking about why he indeed came to the States this time. It was an unusual situation, but he had a plan.
They passed through the financial district near the entertainment hub. Most big media companies had headquarters around these parts of the city. It was not an exaggeration to say every inch of land around these parts was inlaid with gold.
They stopped near a large real estate complex overlooking a park. There was ample foliage that gave a little suburban feeling, which was good.
It could be said that Sibylla's choice was very good, Samuel always thought of her as a silly little girl, but her vision was good. Must have run into the family, he thought.
They stopped near the lobby of what looked like a super luxurious hotel; they were surprised not to hear such a place existed so close to the city's heart.
Samuel, Paige, and Sibylla got off at the door; people were already waiting for them. For unique customers like Sibylla, it felt like they attach great importance to being as cordial as possible. It seemed like she didn't tell them about her friends.
When the manager arrived to receive them, they saw Samuel and Paige, which put broad smiles on their faces.
It was an unexpected surprise, but they welcomed it with open arms; Samuel was always trending on gossip news while Paige, although been a little quiet lately, would surely bolster their properties' prestige. Her connections were never to be underestimated!
The account manager, Sunderland, who was responsible for managing the property on behalf of the company, immediately stepped forward to greet them. He was very respectful, but inwardly, he was thinking how he could entice the other two to buy some property here; if somehow they could become an owner, it would surely make few headlines!
" Welcome, thank you for visiting our LA Utopia in person. I am Sunderland, I will be your guide for today." He bowed slightly. For ordinary customers, he might appear a little arrogant so that it could better reflect their high standards, but these three were a different breed.
" We will be in your care." Samuel said while Paige only nodded. It showed how different their personality was, but Samuel also knew Paige meant no harm; she had been dealing with flattery all her life which made her a little numb.
In the case of Samuel, he would always ignore it. Sibylla didn't care about formalities much; she just wanted to inspect her new home!
"Hello, I want to see the apartment that I reserved yesterday. I remember we talked over the phone?"
" Of course, your Royal Highness, I believe when you contacted yesterday, you hoped to see our fifteen hundred square foot one of the thirty sixth floor? It's a standard apartment with two bedroom apartment." He elaborated further.
It was not a big apartment, but it was more than sufficient for one person to live in. Not to mention it was fully decked with state-of-the-art interiors and appliances.
"Yes, please take us to see it." Sibylla nodded and motioned to the other party to show her and her friends the place.
"Of course, it is our honor to be able to serve you." Sunderland made an inviting gesture and led three people into the lobby.
" The first floor of the building is reserved for our twenty four hour butler service. There are also professional security personnel in standby at all times to provide the residents with the quietest and most private experience." Sunderland paused to show them the area before continuing.
" There are other amenities like a dedicated sushi bar, a patisserie who is very famous in the culinary circle and of course a coffee shop, so that you don't have to waste time lining up at other stores. On the second floor we also have a Michelin star French restaurant, which can provide private room service."
Along the way, Sunderland kept on introducing them to different apartment facilities. The lobby was decorated with high-end luxury pieces, satisfying Sibylla's expectations.
Samuel and Paige also felt good and showed enthusiasm while asking various questions. Samuel especially was leaning increasingly toward buying himself a property here, but nothing could be decided without seeing the main event, the house itself.
Although she seemed interested, Paige already owned several properties around the area, so much so that she had forgotten how many there were. Her family was into this type of business, so they never shied away from a good investment. So, she thought she had no need to buy one here.
They came across their famous sixty-foot open-air swimming pool, the fully stacked gym, which also had a ballet room, yoga room, sauna, steam bath...the list kept on growing. There were also professional coaches along with dieticians who could provide their services provided the resident had to pay extra for those.
There was also a private club exclusively for the residents, including a bar, cigar hall, and other facilities.
After touring a little, they got on a private elevator which could only be operated by swiping a dedicated card and a fingerprint sensor for extra security.
The card looked premium, and as Sunderland explained, each was unique and handcrafted with an integrated chip so no duplicates could be made easily.
Sibylla kept nodding; everything seemed to be of her liking. From security to privacy and decoration, she found everything satisfactory.
Even entering the floor lobby was different; the floor was all premium quality oak wood with the surface coating to a matte finish. It meshed the modern sense while using wood, bringing out the wilderness feeling to it.
Several pieces of furniture were placed and seemed to be high quality too. Sunderland said they had enlisted the help of a famous design artist to separately design each and every piece that they saw here.
They finally reached the door, made with the same oak material with hidden hinges. It was a tall door of over eight feet; the double door made it look like it was made for a castle.
Entering, they saw the whole house using floor-to-ceiling windows, giving the place a lot of natural light. They also had good permeability and a solid filter to stop ultraviolet rays that might harm the body.
Everything was insulated as their company patented the design to use special glasses for the same type of insulation when using other well-known materials. Even now, they could see cars moving around the building, but no outside sound could be heard.
With such openness, they could also enjoy the full view of the park beside the estate complex completely unobstructed.
Moving on, Sunderland explained other facilities of the apartment. A state-of-the-art multi-zone temperature control interface and dedicated ventilation system were separate for every household.
Some leading appliances, such as a laundry machine, were also integrated with a dryer. A fully equipped kitchen and bathroom equipment were all selected from the world's top brands.
Several vintage cabinets, Italian marble countertops, and a wine cabinet with some supplies in it. There were also some important kitchen appliances, but it was all unnecessary for Sibylla.
Who could expect a Princess of a country to cook? It's better to forget about it.
The bedroom was the same, but everything was surrounded by electric-powered sunshade curtains to not forgo the owner's privacy.
There was also a reserved space for art display so that the owner could hang up their own special pieces of decoration.
They moved to the cloakroom. It was big, but Samuel knew it would not meet Sibylla's requirements. he had seen her luggage, ten bags just for her clothes, and he hated to think about her shoe collection!
On the other hand, the bathroom was excellently designed to utilize all the space, with a separate dry and wet area, while a vast jacuzzi sat next to the window overlooking the same park. It kind of made one feel like they were washing on the riverside.
"I'm very satisfied with the property. Can we move on to the price now?" After looking around for more than an hour, Sibylla was ready to move on to negotiations.
" Princess Sibylla, the price of this suite is three million US dollars. In addition to that you have to pay the real estate tax, management fee etc which would be seventy five thousand dollars in total. It would include everything, we would also arrange for a housekeeper if you need one. They would clean the room regularly with your permission." Sunderland said with a smile.
