Chapter 543 Meanwhile in Seoul-2

" Grace Generation? Why?" Park asked Jane what was his point for this operation.

"Boss's orders, but just to keep you in the loop, I will briefly summarize what's unfolding here." Park listened to everything she had to say, but even then, he didn't understand what the fuck was going on?

Kidnapping? Apparently, Samuel was in the video that had been going viral lately, too? Enemy attack? Protection? He was confused, to say the least. He wasn't aware of the shadow war that had been going around, and Jane tactfully didn't tell him for fear that he would go snooping around and get himself hurt.

Then Park understood that he didn't understand anything about his boss! He knew wealthy people liked to party, but what with hanging out with prominent idol groups just because he could? Now that they had gotten into some trouble, he had to babysit a bunch of celebrities?

Thankfully, they wouldn't be in the country for a few more days due to another tour, which meant he had some time to spare. He hired enough personnel that he had to list them under a new security company just to get the government off his ass!

When he thought everything was ready, he was hit with another devastating news! The bands that he needed to protect were being disbanded? He had heard it from his new hire, who was under the same umbrella company.

Park asked around with the help of his connections and found out that it was indeed the case. With how much thought Samuel had given them, wasn't it bad news that they were being forced out of the industry? That's when he decided to rush to London and just happened to meet Benjiro, who also was visiting to bring another bad news.

This was everything that had happened to him over the span of a week! It was the most hectic week of his life, but now he was back in Korea after getting Samuel's orders.

The problem was that his measly company would now declare war on one of the big three. He honestly wasn't thrilled about it. He knew what Samuel was capable of, but this was not the UK or USA; this was Korea, and there were few corporations that even the government didn't dare to offend.

But he was openly challenging them? It would either make or break his career; maybe he even had to move abroad if he didn't do a good job. It would take a stroke of great fortune for him to succeed.

As soon as he left the airport, he called Manager Kim and asked him to meet him urgently. Everything depended on him assuring Kim that they could do it!

...

...

...

Park arrived at the address; it was a small cafe around the entertainment hub of Seoul. He stood at the door and looked around to try to match the description of the person that he was about to meet. As Samuel described him, Manager Kim was a big dude with a looking face that oozed professionalism.

Park thought he was joking, but now he could single out the person in a sea of people without any issue. Kim really stood out, just like Samuel had told him. But as soon as he started walking toward him, someone grabbed his shoulder and pushed him aside.

" What? What are you doing?"

" It's fine, Mr Park. On behalf of Mr Rothschild, we are keeping an eye on Manager Kim." A tall Korean man explained without giving out his name.

" Why haven't I heard about it then?"

" You were the one that hired us." A few more people nodded toward him as he looked around.

" We didn't get a chance to meet because you suddenly left the country, but with payment done, we decided to follow through on our end of the deal."

Park remembered asking his secretary, and she told him she had few people in mind. He thought there would be a few young people looking to make a quick buck, but he never would have expected these were the people she had in mind.

They wore plain clothes, but their muscles could be seen through their t-shirts. He did hear that her brother was a retired soldier, but they looked more like special forces to him!

" Are you Ae cha's brother?" He asked directly.

" Yes, but we should talk about it later. I stopped you because Manager Kim is being followed. Don't look around now; just casually glance toward the seat at the door." Park did as he was told, and he saw someone suspicious sitting at the door.

" He has a camera hidden beneath his newspaper. We can't be sure where he is from; he might be a reporter or a tail sent by the SK corporation to keep an eye on Kim."

" Right, what should we do then?" Park was impressed. He had seen it in the movies but felt like he was part of the spy games listening to the man.

" Just follow him; he will bring you to a secure location where you can talk to him without any worry." He pointed toward one of his men.

" Are you sure? He will not trust you blindly with everything happening to him." Park was worried.

" It's fine; we have our ways. We have been following him for some time now; I think he knows our presence."

" Isn't that bad?"n-)o)/V/-E-(L--B--1./n

lightsΝοvel.cοm " At least he knows that we are not here to hurt him. You go first; let us handle it." He reassured Park.

Park nodded and followed the man through the back door, where a car awaited him. He didn't understand why they were so secretive about it, but it was better to be careful. Samuel repeatedly emphasized that they needed to be as discreet as possible for their plan to work.

They had to fool a media giant into signing something that they would never agree to under typical situations. For that, they needed to seem desperate, which meant Manager Kim had to act the part; the more desperate he was, the more the company would feel that they got the better end of the deal!

But if they felt an outsider was helping them, they would only delay the process as much as possible or even ask for exorbitant prices, which only meant Samuel giving his competitor more money!
