Chapter 562 Lively Children-1
Samuel woke up early morning with hardly any sleep but even few hours were enough for him to recover from last night 'workout.' He saw the three beauties laying on top of him, almost smothering his face.
Adele who laid beside Iblis somehow ended up on top of him, hugging him tightly with a smile on her face which Iblis and Mayra took hold of each of his hands grabbing it like a pillow. As it was december already middle of december with weather jumping to and fro from single digit temperature, it was evident they would feel cold when they had their windows wide open whole night.
They were in deep sleep, it was not a surprise with how much they sweated the night before, but when he looked to the corner, he could tell that the fawn was about to wake up. He was able to free his hands by peeling it from their embrace and lifted Adele by grabbing her hips.
He supported her head on top of his chest and quietly laid her where he was. He got up and first covered with the soft quilt, they were frowning in their sleep when they felt that his presence was gone but with the warm blanket peace soon return to their face.
Mayra and Iblis even mistook Adele as him and hugged her tightly from both front and back. He found it funny because just the night before they were fighting, especially Mayra and Adele who were sleeping face to face. He would love to see their reaction when they woke up but he didn't have time for that.
Just as he freshen up for the morning, he heard shuffling, the deer was up and was looking at him with curious eyes. With how much noise they made, it was a miracle that it was still sleeping. Samuel picked her up in his arms and headed first toward Elise's room.
He found still sleeping on the bed, it was around six in the morning her waking hours were around seven so he simply fixed her sheets and headed downstairs to prepare some food but first he called the main mansion to send someone to clean the entire house.
It was a risk to bring any in house maid because of how wild everyone was inside the house. He would prefer not giving his parent the detail of whatever they were doing, that would only make him embarrassed for face them.
He looked around the kitchen, they barely had anything few eggs, a loaf of bread and other normal cooking items that were not fit to be the center of any dish. He thought for a second and immediately his mind wander off to a french dish that he recently had in Paris.
The Croque monsieur but he didn't went with the familiar version but what considered closely related to it. The Croque Madame that remained far more in the shadows but he had the privilege to have some when Kayla and Mayra took him to one of the hidden gems shop in the city.
Unlike it's daunting name the recipe was simple, bread filled with cheese and ham along with a bechamel sauce and some eggs on top to complete everything. Fortunately, he had the sweeter bread that was ideal for the dish. To add his own flair to he decided to make two different versions, he grabbed few avocados for the toast, it will be more spicy version.
For Elise, he already knew what she liked most, anything sweet would make her happy to the point of radiating it to whoever was looking at her smile. French toast was perfect with some authentic maple syrup or powdered sugar, she would gulp down anything!
He put on some music and started working, within half an hour he had the toasts ready along with the fillings. The spicy sauce was done but he needed few more minutes for bechamel sauce. On the side, he also prepared some food for the fawn who was sitting on the kitchen floor watching him work.
After fifteen more minutes, he heard someone coming down the stairs. Just hearing the steps he knew who it was. Right as he was putting down the dishes on the countertop, Elise peeked her head inside scrunching her nose tying to sniff the aroma of freshly fried french toasts. noVE-LB-In
She was a little surprised seeing Samuel instead of usual Mayra but her little brain was more focused on where the sweet smell was coming from!
He saw her eyes lit up and said," Good morning."
" Good mowrning." She greeted him back. Everyone was teaching her some basic mannerism and she was adapting to it. Even inside the estate, there were many great example of dignified people excluding his aunt Mary. She was even learning from watching others.
She came running but the table top was too big for her but she already learned how to climb long chairs without any help! But before she could see what the food was, Samuel asked her an important question.
" Did you wash your face and brushed your teeth?" To answer him she only swayed her face from side to side.
" You know you can't have breakfast before it right? Look even baby deer is waiting for you to play with her. If you don't hurry up, we will miss the chance to find her family!"
" Ah." She felt horrified thinking about it without even saying anything to him, she rushed upstair to do her daily chores. Samuel followed her seeing if she needed any help and they both came downstairs after half an hour to see the fawn running around restlessly.
" What happened? Did you not like the milk?" He tried using his power to feel her emotion only to find that it wanted to go outside for some reason.
" Is she sick?" Elise asked with a worried look.
" No, she just want to play outside. Deer don't live in homes right? They will easily get bored and even get homesick that's why people don't have them as pets." Samuel said few things just to make sure she didn't make a fuss when they release the baby deer in wild. It was cruel but he wanted her to become spoiled like Anya.
There are few things that even how much one wished for couldn't be attained and people that say anything was possible are only lying to themselves.
Samuel promptly opened the door and the fawn rushed outside, it was running fast but Samuel could feel her presence even when it was traversing through thick bushes of their garden. He was surprised to see what she did when she reached the end of the wall.
