Samuel moved to the studio to start prepping some melodies. He already had a vision but since he hadn't operated the mixing studio for quite a while, he needed to test some things and also mold settings.
He got to have a closer look at everything, the Apollos, Chandlers, compressors were armed to the teeth. Several mixers, laptops, Mac studio along with Asperger duo 12s laying on top of a standing table so that producers could walk around.
On the side were piano with mic already attached to them, distressors, curve benders, seperate channel strip EQ/ pre EQ compressors, an XLR Q bar filled one side.
While the other had, a small drum set, a magnificent synth wall, analog pre delay, OPX and a mellotron. He had everything he needed to make things work.
He quickly arranged it to his liking. Several output sources needed to be connected to different equipment, it was a maiden studio so he had to do it from scratch. The cable management was necessary, so he marked everything down incase something broke down.
It took three hours for everything to be completed, it would be good if he had a sound engineer with him so that he could speed up everything but for now, he did it himself. Finally he sat down and began working.
First, he listened to Adele finished songs. The album was set to have a total of twelve tracks which was industry standard. The songs were similar to what he expected, the overall vibe of the album was like a blue-eyed soul album with folk rock, indie pop, and jazz influences and lyrics describing heartbreak, nostalgia and relationships.
Coincidently there was a small redeeming arc at that end emphasizing that she was over the whole thing which was the core difference from her original album. It must be because of his influence, they were in a dilemma but over the past few months firmly cemented their relationship.
As far as he knew, she was already preparing songs since she was sixteen. The first half clearly reflected where her mind was at that moment. With songs like Daydreamer, Best for last and Chasing pavement, one could hear the surreal sadness and emptiness in her voice.
He was feeling her raw emotion through it, like the songs were talking to him. They had been together for years, so he didn't know that she was so torn when they were separate. Those couple of years, she fully focused on advancing her musical prowess and him doing his movies and taking classes, they hardly had time to talk to each other.
Without the advent of phones, they would meet up twice a year. It must be when she was doubting everything. He felt a little bad for her. Still he didn't want to change anything, these were her deep emotions even though she was feeling better at the present, there was no need to erase her past.
He moved to newer songs that she wrote like First love, make you feel my love. They were like a transition song that gave some hope in them. Unexpectedly, he found couple of new songs like endless night, all the small things that were more upbeat songs in which she talked about her fictional lover.
Ending the whole thing with Hometown glory, the cherry on top that was sad with a hopeful undertone. It was based on her home suburb of West Norwood in London where she grew up in.
Fortunately, the bed was big enough for three of them to sleep side by side. Kate and Nicole get to know each other better as they talked for few more hours. It was Nicole's ploy to keep waiting for her young master but soon she could feel her eyelids getting heavy.

" It's already midnight?" Samuel looked at his phone to see it was half past twelve. He was already done with the initial melody for about dozen of songs that he gave to Adele. She was happy to choose among it but he had his sights on a particular tune.
He sat up and stretched his body, it was quite tiring to on the chair for close to six hours. He left to see what others were upto. The kitchen was empty but he soon found the leftovers inside the fridge which he dumped into the microwave.
It was absolute silence, he walked to see one of the room's door slightly ajar. Peaking inside, he found three of them sleeping together while hugging each other. The bed was already a mess while Adele was hoarding the thick blanket.
He quietly went inside and took out another set of blanket to cover them gently. Seeing Nicole smothered to death in Kate's embrace was amusing, at least he wasn't the only one experiencing her fluffy yet deadly bosoms.
He turned of the light and went downstairs to have something to eat. He kept flipping through the papers he left for Adele, to see if the tune matched or not. He was too focused on melody that he forgot about the lyrics.
After having his meal, he cleaned everything up before hitting the hay. He decided to use the bed in the studio so that as soon as he woke up, he could go right back to work. It was also separate so he wouldn't disturb their sleep.
Since he only needed two to three hours to be fully recharged, he spend couple more hours working before finally getting on top of the bed. He could smell the 'new' scent of the furniture probably because Abigail replaced all the used furniture.
She was very particular about these things and was also a little superstitious about using someone else's stuff. It didn't take him long to drift into the dreamworld still thinking about patterns and melodies.
He didn't know how long he was asleep for but he woke up feeling someone beside him.
