56. Wizard of the Mage Tower means
“This is the professor’s room.”
“Thank you for guiding me.”
Kang Seung-hyun headed to Professor Tansel’s room.
As I opened the door and went inside, I saw the professor talking to a man.
“excuse me.”
“Come on. I’m sorry for calling you so late.”
“it’s okay. What happened to the story of the Church of Ayber?”
“If that’s the case, don’t worry. They replied that they would dispatch a priestly corps early in the morning.”
Professor Tansel said with a smile.
“Because those friends hate the undead more than the mage tower.”
The Church had a very bad relationship with the Magic Tower, but when such a problem occurred, they put aside their personal feelings and tended to cooperate.
‘Priest Sahita must have liked it.’
Kang Seung-hyeon recalled the scene of a timid priest timidly rejoicing.
“But who is over there?”
Seunghyun Kang sat down on an empty sofa and asked. The man politely introduced himself.
“Nice to meet you. I say wizard canonization.”
“I’m Healer Kang Seung-hyun.”
Canonization, like Professor Tansel, was wearing a professor’s robe.
‘Is that guy a professor too?’
However, unlike Professor Tansel, who wore a red robe, Siseong was wearing a black robe.
‘Since the Mage Tower values its symbol color, it must not belong to the Crimson Mage Tower.’
Possibly noticing Kang Seung-hyeon’s thoughts, Si-seong pointed to his clothes and said.
“that’s right. I am not a member of the Crimson Mage Tower here, but a professor belonging to the Jet-Dark Mage Tower.”
“If it’s the pitch-dark magic tower...”
“The name of the black mage’s tower is more famous.”
When Professor Siseong spread his hand, a thick black mist spread.
In the church, black magic is trembling, but in fact, black magic is partially legal in the Azul continent.
Getting permission is like picking stars from the sky, right? Anyone can learn black magic with permission.
‘The Dark Magic Tower was the only “dark magic” institution in the Azul Continent in the south.’
A black magician belonging to the Dark Magic Tower.
They are the only black magic group recognized as legal by the king.
“The main thing I study is black magic and the proper use of black magic.”
Their goal is to use black magic correctly, so those who misuse black magic will never be forgiven. The relationship with the church is bad, but that aspect is very similar.
“Originally, Professor Siseong visited our Mage Tower for other research, but after hearing about this incident, he said that he really wanted to meet you.”
“It’s too late, but I have to go back to the Mage Tower tomorrow...”
Professor Siseong said with a shy face. Like all wizards, they are crazy about research and data. Wouldn’t he jump into the fire if he could get the data?
‘Well, it’s not a story that a guy who studies black magic will pass on.’
Seunghyun Kang explained what happened in the dungeon. Except for God.
-“That kind of thing... Oh my God... Oh...”
Professor Si-Sung was busy taking notes the whole time he was listening to the story.
“Do you have any belongings that the black magician used...? Or even something found in a dungeon...”
Professor Siseong asked with a look of great anticipation.
“There are.”
“If you sell it, I will buy it for research purposes!”
“Then...”
Kang Seung-hyeon looked through his inventory. There is also Kirkarashtel’s orb, but I don’t intend to sell it because I will use it myself.
‘Let’s hand this over. I was thinking of throwing it in the trash.’
What Kang Seung-hyun took out was a metal magic dagger. It was Ederma of Sacrifice that Aile used.
This is also Kirkarastel’s Holy Relic, so its performance is powerful, but ordinary people cannot use it because of its powerful black magic.
‘It’s still difficult to deal with, but if you take it for black magic research, I’d be fine.’
Kang Seung-hyun held out the Ederme of sacrifice to Professor Si-seong.
Professor Siseong wrote the contract at high speed. The contract stated that Ederme of Sacrifice would be traded for research purposes.
“I signed it.”
When Kang Seung-hyun signed the contract,
“You have made a mark in the study of dark magic in the Azul Continent!”
Professor Si-seong left his seat with great joy.
– “Wizards really like to study.”
“Because it is the reason for life. Would you like a drink too?”
After Professor Siseong left, Professor Tansel offered tea.
“I am okay.”
Seunghyun Kang refused the tea and sat down.
“Not as much as Professor Si-seong, but I find this work interesting too.”
The dungeon’s boss monster was actually a party member. It’s just amazing. It’s not rare, but it’s not common.
“If it weren’t for your judgment, the party would have been wiped out.”
“It must have been.”
“Of course my apprentice must have died too.”
Professor Tansel drank the tea with a bitter face.
“Aside from Shuire, there are many disciples who left to become adventurers.”
Some of them still keep in touch, but there are many disciples who have lost contact or have died.
“Shuire was the most gifted kid I ever taught.”
The amount of horsepower that overwhelms others and the tremendous confidence that comes from it. Even a strong mental strength that protects confidence.
“He was such a great guy.”
He persevered without collapsing in any test, and calmly used his magic even when others panicked.
“Because he was such a proud kid, he must have felt tired of the Mage Tower.”
“That’s why you left to become an adventurer.”
“Of course I stopped, but no one can break the mage’s stubbornness.”
It was disappointing, but Tansel didn’t worry too much.
“Shuire was the most capable of all the students I raised.”
It was because I thought that if Shuire was talented, she would be fine even if she became an adventurer.
“But that guy... he couldn’t even activate a magic circle with his own hands and ran away in a hurry.”
“...”
“How would I have felt when I saw that?”
This incident must have shocked Professor Tansel as well. As soon as they met, he beat him up with a cane, but it was said that he was worried about that.
“If it hadn’t been for you, I would have died there. Even if you were lucky enough to bounce back, your mind wouldn’t have recovered from the shock.”
If Kang Seung-hyeon hadn’t been there, he might have died miserably, or even if he managed to save his life, he might never have been able to use magic again.
“I can imagine how Shuire must have entrusted the magic circle to you.”
The only hope to replace the useless wizard in panic.
“As Shuire’s teacher and as a member of the Crimson Mage Tower, I would like to thank you again.”
Professor Tansel bowed his head.
“Thank you for saving my pupil.”
“You are the one who cares about your disciple.”
Basically, wizards are nasty. Humans with low magical power are looked down on and treated as animals in severe cases. What they love and care about is only research results and results.
‘They’re just as unlucky as the priests, maybe even more unlucky than the priests.’
Priests at least notice God, but wizards don’t notice anyone else.
‘He’s a rare wizard with good personality.’
I think I know why the disciples who left to become adventurers keep in touch with Professor Tansel.
He would have been a good teacher as much as he was a good wizard.
“This is a reward for saving a disciple.”
Professor Tansel held out something. It was a rolled scroll.
“This is...”
“Crimson Mage Tower Permit.”
Originally, in order for an outsider to roam around the Mage Tower, a Mage Tower permit is required. Without a permit, it is impossible to even enter the entrance of the Mage Tower, let alone look around.
Of course, getting a permit is quite tricky, and they don’t issue it to just anyone.
“Since you came to the Crimson Magic Tower, why don’t you take a look around?”
