Dawn looked over the real corpse of Vadu. The blood was pooling from the injury caused by Dawn's attack.
The head was cleanly crushed and cut from Vadu's neck. Even though Dawn used his hands, the cut was clean, as if a sword has cut it.
"Worthless bastard."
Dawn already knew that Vadu was a dying goblin. He never felt any presence, yet Vadu was able to open his eyes.
That would mean he has something that could make him come back to life even after dying.
However, when Dawn turned around, he suddenly felt 'life' coming back to Vadu. For Dawn, who was at his peak, it was easy to see.
"Still, this is too easy."
Disappointing. Dawn thought wholeheartedly at the performance of this village chief.
He didn't win the fight; he just blew the dying fire of a candle called Vadu, who was trying to enlarge his flame.
Still, since this village was able to function as a member of the Three Big Villages, even with its chief being a dying goblin, there should be some pillar.
"There should be a goblin waiting for this village chief to die."
Dawn was certain of this. And because he was certain, he wasn't sure of what to do from now on.
He didn't know the goblin, and there are no signs of such a goblin. The reason why he was able to know who the village chief was because of the big house in the center.
It was easy to tell who owns this huge house.
"How do I find that piece of shit?"
It was then.
An idea struck him like a lightning bolt.
"Oh, I can use that. Hahahaha!"
Soon, he went back to the room where the corpse was lying and exited right after taking something.
****
Boom!
Dawn used his Aura and covered his hands with it before striking the house of the now-dead village chief.
He didn't use much strength, so he wasn't able to wreck it, but it was enough to shake the whole village.
Shuu!
The sleeping goblins that were lying on the ground woke up one by one. Even the five goblins that Dawn met before were currently making their way towards the source of the ruckus.
"What's happening?!"
"T-there! A goblin!"
"Who is that?!"
The goblins turned loud and grew hostile towards Dawn, who was not one of them.
Well, if you saw a thief right inside your house, it would be impossible to not get mad.
"T-that's!!"
The blessed goblins who were standing at the front saw something sitting in the ground right in front of Dawn.
"Village chief?!"
"Why is the village chief's head..."
"He's dead!"
They murmured silently, but it was useless on this quiet night. Their words were transferred to one another as if the rumor was a hot topic.
Dawn was just silently watching the goblins lose their minds. He wasn't having fun watching their reactions or anything like that.
Dawn was actually waiting. If his guess were right, someone would step up soon.
---There should be a goblin who leads these goblins, who was waiting for the village chief to die.
It was then.
"Oy, you! Did you do this?"
A goblin asked Dawn with a low and cold voice. His killing intent was immense, but it didn't affect Dawn.
"That's right. From now on, I am the village chief."
However, even if Dawn flaunts his powers right now and destroys the village, no goblin would follow him.
This conflict wasn't a war. Dawn just outright killed the village chief. If that is so, the village's goblins could duke it out, and a new top dog will be born.
They don't want any external factors to come into this. After all, the village's fighting power was retained.
"Who do you think will accept you?!"
"That's right! You bastard, killing the chief right on our turf! You think you can leave here alive?!"
The goblins voiced their complaints here and there, but all stopped when they saw Dawn's smile.
They were familiar with that kind of smile...it was the smile of death!
"I killed your village chief, the strongest goblin in this village. You think I can't kill you?!"
Shuuuuu.
Dawn released his Aura and used it to pressure the other goblins.
However...
"It's not only you who can use Aura."
A goblin also released his Aura and competed with Dawn for dominance. The enemy goblin's rank or name is unknown, but for him to compete with Dawn over Aura, his mastery must be greater if not the same.
---Found him. Now...I wonder if they'll come.
"Say. What reason do you have for killing our chief?"
The goblin raised his hand, and another goblin ran up to the side. The normal goblins took off with the goblin that ran, encircling Dawn.
"Do you think you can keep us, a force of 200 goblins, off the bay? We also have blessed goblins that can compete with you. Even if you are a goblin that has the mark of the cave, you won't escape from here."
While the goblin was talking, the goblins surrounded Dawn. The blessed goblins took charge in front of the group.
The goblin who was talking was about to give the order to attack, but someone from the sidelines approached him and whispered something to his ear.
The goblin said in a small voice, enough for the other goblin to hear.
"This might be a trap for the village chief to kill me?"
"Yes. It's suspicious no matter how many times I think about it. The village chief is dying because of an old injury, and the village chief knows about your moves to take over this village, Lam."
"Then, what is that head over there?"
The goblin hesitated for a moment. It was already smart of him to think that this was a trap, but for him to say that the head is fake is just asking for too much.
"I-i don't know..."
"It's fine, then. Besides, if we kill that goblin, I will still be the village chief. Just follow me, and you'll be the second in command."
Lam spoke resolutely before turning his head towards Dawn. His face was full of confidence.
Lam has his back covered by a huge number of goblins. Even if Dawn were a high ranking goblin, he would still have his limits.
Lam raised his right hand up and...
"Attack!"
...brought it down, pointing his finger at Dawn.
GuhaAAHAA!
The blessed goblins at the front took the lead in attacking Dawn. After all, even their previous village chief wouldn't survive if they all attacked at once.
"Go! Take his legs first!"
A blessed goblin ordered while running. His face was full of seriousness and in his eyes was full of determination.
For him, the goblin in front was an enemy that killed his chief. What's more, the village chief died not in a proper war but due to infiltration.
'Bullshit!' The goblin thought.
However, his thoughts stopped right there when he saw a hand enter his vision.
Boom!
His blood splattered in the air, his skull was crushed, and brain matter was oozing out of his head.
"Legs, huh. Gotta kill goblins who know how to battle first."
Dawn said as he proceeded to bash another goblin's head. Again, the head was destroyed, and it went 'Pop!' as if it were fireworks.
In a battle where every direction was filled with enemies, Dawn charged forward with his body clad in his Aura.
He kept his calm and fought while keeping his discipline. He tore open the encirclement kept by the blessed goblins, and Dawn would always try to charge towards Lam, who was ordering the goblins in the back.
The attacks that tried to hurt Dawn weren't limited to the goblin's fists. There were some who brought rocks and swords, although it was quite clear they weren't used to it.
In this place where goblins are the only thing one can see, Dawn was raging like a storm!
Piercing winds accompanied Dawn's fists that would strike his enemies and end their lives.
In such a short time, countless corpses were building on the ground as if there were endless supply to the bodies.
Watching all this happen from start to now, Lam couldn't help but doubt his eyes.
"I-impossible..."
Impossible. The fight hasn't even reached the five-minute mark yet, but it was clear who was losing.
Although Dawn was receiving injuries, his mastery over Aura was great enough to ignore shallow wounds.
"I-impossible! Is that even a goblin?! How can he have that much strength!"
Lam was panicking at the sight occurring in front of him. Even though Lam could be considered as a gallant warrior, this was enough for him to go weak in the knees.
And as if that wasn't enough...
Uwaaaah! King!
"Save the King!"
...a loud cheer, a great force, and the music of death were ringing out behind Lam.
When Lam turned around, he didn't know what to do anymore. He wasn't a village chief who could stand up during harsh times or when the village was losing a war.
"I-it's over!"
The appearance of a great army behind him sealed the deal.
