The goblins who were tasked with guarding during the day soon took their positions.
Of course, the ones who guarded all throughout the night soon started to sleep.
Even though they weren't really that tired, as all of the goblins have gotten their proper rest by now, they still went straight to sleep.
After all, they didn't want to waste a single minute, and they also wanted to get every sleep they could get.
They might not have some sleep once the scouting begins. What's more, Dawn might really start the hunt if he thinks that they could fight against the Lion Tiger.
If that were the case, the goblins would need every energy they could spend.
None of them planned to die a sacrificial death. Of course, they were ready to die for the king.
However, the most efficient and the best way a goblin could be of use to the king is to stay alive.
They would stay alive and beat the enemies in his way. They would even beat the Lion Tiger.
That was the best way for them to serve the king. That was why they were taking this sleeping seriously.
And, of course, as it was now daytime, Dawn...was awake. After all, he didn't have anything to do during the time he was awake.
He didn't spend his energy, nor did he get tired from doing something.
That was why he was still awake as he couldn't sleep. What's more, Dawn was thinking of ways to make this...second day of waiting into a productive day.
After all, if the moon won't come out again at night, this day would be just a waste.
All the hours that they waited won't come back, and they would have wasted two days.
What's more, there was a possibility that the next night would be moonless.
---Should I make the other normal goblins hunt so that they could get blessings by the battlefield?
This was the first option that Dawn thought of to make this day of waiting to be productive.
If the normal goblins could hunt in this place, they would be able to kill some other monsters while being safe.
After all, there was someone who was watching the goblins, and they would basically have the same privilege that Dawn had right now.
What's more, if the goblins could become blessed goblins, they would add more strength.
They would have more strength, and they would be stronger overall.
Their strength would also improve the fighting force of Dawn's village.
And the most crucial fact is that the goblins would be able to help better with the Lion Tiger.
As they would have a lot more strength compared to the time they were normal goblins, they would be able to at least contribute to the Lion Tiger hunt.
Even if there would be some dead goblins in the process of hunting the Lion Tiger, as long as there would be some goblins who would survive, it would be worth it.
After all, Dawn was almost sure that he would achieve evolution by killing the Lion Tiger.
With the addition of his evolution to Duke and a new squad of blessed goblins, his village's strength would skyrocket.
That was why it would make more sense to try and make the other normal goblins into blessed goblins now.
However, if they did hunt during the day, the goblins...might have no energy later.
As Dawn wasn't sure that there would be no moon later, he can't just brazenly order the normal goblins to hunt.
The immediate advantage, goblins having new strength to face against the Lion Tiger, would only work if and only if the moon won't come out later.
That means...the goblins would only be useful for the next night if they achieved evolution during the day.
And if the moon came out tonight, that would hurt more than the goblins dying.
Why? It was because Dawn was also not sure if the Lion Tiger would keep coming here.
After all, the Lion Tiger only came here because the goblins tribe gave him some food and tributes.
If the Lion Tiger came here while the goblins were out for the day, that would be just the worst situation.
The Lion Tiger would find out that the goblin tribes were gone now so it was more unlikely for it to come back here.
That was why Dawn had to catch the Lion Tiger the first time it comes back here.
He didn't have the time, and he didn't have the chances in his palm. Things weren't sure, and the Lion Tiger could do what he wanted to do.
That was why...making the goblins achieve evolution right now was just...nonsense.
"Hah." Dawn sighed as he felt himself hitting a wall in this situation.
He didn't know what to do, and it was just...hard for him to make a decision.
Dawn wanted to prioritize knowing the Lion Tiger. After all, they didn't even know if they would be able to kill the Lion Tiger right now.
Dawn was just staying here to scout the Lion Tiger. He was staying here to know if he could or he couldn't fight against the Lion Tiger.
That means that this whole waiting might be useless if Dawn judged that he wouldn't be able to win against the Lion Tiger.
---Is this even worth it?
Dawn knew that this wouldn't be worth it if they weren't able to defeat the Lion Tiger.
Although they already wasted one day, it didn't really hurt that much.
Dawn was able to rest, and his goblins were able to get some rest as well.
If Dawn wanted to, they could get out of here now and just start their day.
However, if they were to wait for another day, that would mean that they already invested big in this.
Dawn didn't have to risk another day, another night just to scout the Lion Tiger.
He didn't even know if he could beat him, and even though Dawn wanted to battle against the Lion Tiger, Dawn didn't want to waste things.
Right now, Dawn was just pursuing efficiency for everything. Whether it be battle, time, powers, or his goblins, Dawn wanted everything to be perfect.
It was weird if you think about how he would always go crazy for a stronger opponent, but that was just how life works.
Even if Dawn was a goblin, Dawn needed to mature at some point, and he needed to prioritize things that should be prioritized.
Of course, that doesn't mean that Dawn didn't want to fight anymore.
In fact, he was itching to have a go at the Lion Tiger. However, the situation was just...bad.
---Hah. I guess I'll wait for tonight, but if it doesn't show up, I'll have to give it up.
Dawn thought as he made the decision to wait until tonight for the Lion Tiger to show up.
This would be the last day and night that Dawn would wait for the Lion Tiger.
Dawn calculated that he wouldn't be able to take the loss if he were to continue wasting time for an unknown factor.
After all, Dawn still had his village to mind. Even if Karkas were the one leading them, Dawn's village right now was so weak.
It was so weak that any other village that has a strong goblin would be able to defeat it.
Of course, that was because Dawn was not there right now.
And that was why Dawn knew that his absence was just bad.
Dawn couldn't afford to be gone for too long, and Dawn knew that very well.
"Hah. I just noticed, but...having a village to lead is extra work, huh."
Dawn said as he noticed just how much of a relief having someone else. Ever since Dawn became the village chief or king, Karkas and the Elder were there to help in his work.
They were there to handle his kingly duties, and they were there to guide him.
They were there to help him stabilize his village and their help was just great enough for Dawn to not feel the burden of leading a village.
However, now that the...Elder has died, and Dawn decided to take matters into his own hands, Dawn ended up realizing how much of a help those two goblins were.
He ended up realizing how hard it was to lead a village of his own. He had to mind things, he had to calculate things, he had to think about things, he had to be decisive about things.
All those things, Dawn felt the burden of it now. Of course, that was not all, but it was heavy nonetheless.
"The Elder, huh...he was a great help to me, too." Dawn said as he remembered the Elder.
The Elder was one of the big helpers in the village. He did much more work than Karkas, as Karkas only had to mind things with the king himself.
Dawn was grateful for his work, but Dawn felt the regret of not being able to stay much longer with the Elder.
"I guess...that's just how life is."
