Chapter 165: Another problem

When Dawn decided to sleep with the comfort of the Lion Tiger, he quickly fell asleep.

Although he basically did nothing during the entire day and night, the mental stress of waiting for the moon really did tire him out.

Of course, even the other goblins, and that was why they were deciding who would sleep and who would stay on guard for now.

And the one who was deciding things was Didi, who was one of the strongest goblins in Dawn's village.

He wasn't the second strongest in the village now ever since Moris joined the village.

Of course, there was still the possibility of Didi surpassing Moris' strength in the future.

However, it was indeed weird to see that Didi was the one who was deciding things when Moris could have done it.

After all, Moris was basically the second in command right here and right now.

He was the second strongest goblin in this journey, and he was also from the Five Great Clans.

He would definitely know things better, and he would be able to decide better.

However, there was only one reason why Moris didn't do that.

And that was because Moris didn't want to disturb the pecking order in the group.

Anyway, Didi made the goblins into two groups just like how they were before when they were waiting for the moon.

Una would be the one to sleep first and then guard during the day, in case the king would focus on the Lion Tiger or stay here.

And Didi would be the one who would lead the goblins tonight, and guard the king while he sleeps.

This time, they properly sorted it out with 25 goblins sleeping, and 25 goblins guarding.

Of course, when the roles were properly allocated to each goblin, they quickly went to their duty.

25 goblins went to sleep, and 25 goblins went to tighten the guard around the king.

Although they probably didn't need to do something like this as the Lion Tiger is literally the strongest monster here right now, they still did it for the safety of the king.

After all, there was no telling if there would be something that would go wrong in the future.

These goblins didn't want to see the sight of the king being powerless and knocked out while being carried by a goblin.

Goblins...were probably the only race who are so loyal to their absolute monarch.

And so, the goblins spent the night just like how they did yesterday.

It didn't take long for the sky to be turned over to the sun once more as its rays of light shone upon the world.

The darkness of the night has been lost as there were no signs of darkness in the sky anymore.

And due to that, Dawn woke up as he felt the hotness of the sun.

Of course, he didn't really care about that as he opened his eyes...

Wait... Dawn thought as he looked at the sky.

It should be day by now, but...Dawn couldn't see anything at all. It was dark as hell, and that was weird.

If it was still night now, Dawn would probably be able to see the shining stars in the skies or the leaves and trees.

However, right now, Dawn only saw pure darkness as he looked up.

It was weird as hell that Dawn raised his hand towards the sky.

And it was only then that Dawn could finally make sense of this situation.

---Ah...the Lion Tiger covered my whole body...

Dawn thought as he felt that he was touching something as he raised his hand.

Of course, that was the Lion Tiger's stomach, and it seems that he has been sleeping under the Lion Tiger.

It was crazy if you think about how Dawn wasn't squashed by the Lion Tiger's weight or something like that.

After all, the Lion Tiger was definitely heavier than how he looked.

His muscles that were just packed to the brim, and his bones that were built to be strong, and his fat from eating many monsters...it would be crazy if the Lion Tiger isn't heavy.

Well, it's not like Dawn cared about that as he knew that the Lion Tiger probably took care not to squash him.

Anyway, Dawn then moved his body to get out of the Lion Tiger's grasp.

It wasn't easy, but Dawn was able to get out. However, the Lion Tiger's paws were still in the way.

Of course, Dawn just pushed them out of the way, and although it was heavy, Dawn was able to do it in a short amount of time.

It was only then that Dawn was able to get out of the Lion Tiger's...body? Stomach? Dawn didn't know how to call it, but well.

This was the first time that he experienced something like this, and that was why he looked back at the Lion Tiger.

Dawn raised his hands to defend himself as he saw that the Lion Tiger opened its mouth so wide that he could probably swallow Dawn's whole body in one go!

And that was why Dawn's instincts worked as he tried to protect himself.

He couldn't move in time as he saw that the Lion Tiger was literally hair's breadth away from eating him.

That was why he only raised his hands. 

However, it seems that Dawn didn't have to worry about a single thing as Dawn soon felt it.

He soon felt the warm sensation on his body, and the sticky...saliva of the Lion Tiger as the Lion Tiger proceeded to lick Dawn all over his body.

It was crazy if you think about how the Lion Tiger looked so menacing even though he was just about to lick Dawn.

Well, Dawn really thought for a second that the Lion Tiger was about to eat him.

Anyway, when Dawn felt that the Lion Tiger was only licking him, he soon brought down his hands as an awkward smile crept up to his face.

Maybe because this was their first day being together, Dawn...still treated the Lion Tiger like a normal monster.

Even though Dawn was sure that the Lion Tiger wouldn't eat him or kill him, he still tried to defend himself.

It was crazy, but that just shows that even Dawn knew that things could go wrong any moment as long as the Lion Tiger and Dawn hadn't really formed a bond between them.

---Hmmm...

Dawn thought as he just let the Lion Tiger lick him. Since now it has come to this, Dawn was thinking of training the Lion Tiger to be more comfortable with him.

He was thinking that he should train the Lion Tiger so that nothing would go wrong in the future, and that the Lion Tiger would be able to fight for the village and Dawn's sake.

After all, it's not like the Lion Tiger would be gentle with the other goblins as how he was gentle with Dawn.

Dawn knew that very well, and that was why he was considering training the Lion Tiger.

However, there was something that was stopping Dawn from making a decision.

In fact, this was the first time that Dawn has hesitated in making a decision ever since he woke up from the battle with the Warmen.

He was hesitating whether to choose the Lion Tiger's training or his evolution.

The Lion Tiger's strength would definitely come to help Dawn better, and if the Lion Tiger were to get used around goblins, Dawn would even be able to bring it back home.

However, the real reason why Dawn came here in the first place was so that he could become stronger.

It was so that he would achieve evolution. Hell, he sought out the Lion Tiger to kill the Lion Tiger.

However, since the Lion Tiger and Dawn...somehow became friends and chummy, Dawn couldn't kill the Lion Tiger.

Well, it was mostly Dawn as Dawn wanted the Lion Tiger for himself.

Anyway, since Dawn couldn't kill the Lion Tiger, he has not achieved evolution.

That was why Dawn was hesitating to make a decision. Although the Lion Tiger would definitely be a big help, Dawn's main purpose was to make himself stronger.
