"Hmmm...where the fuck are they?" Dawn murmured as he jumped from a tree to another.
Of course, he was looking for the hyenas that just...suddenly disappeared from the forest without any trace at all.
And having no trace when they were just fighting earlier was definitely weird.
After all, they were fighting. A fight would force the hyenas to leave some traces all over the place even if they have mastered the art of being able to hide their traces.
---This is weird, very weird, so weird.
Dawn thought as he stopped to move and just stood on top of a branch of a random tree in the forest.
He then looked around to find the tallest tree in the area, and it didn't take him long to find the tallest tree in the area.
He then disappeared as he reappeared on the branch of the tallest tree, and began looking around the forest as he sharpened his eyes.
"Tsk." Dawn clicked his tongue as he began to bite on his lips hard.
The fact that he couldn't find the hyenas even though he was looking for them crazily like this was getting to his nerves now.
It was irking him, and it was really putting some kind of pressure on him now.
After all, if they choose to retreat at the wrong time, the goblins would have to face a massive army of monsters once again, and Dawn didn't want that to happen.
He just needed to kill the hyenas while they were not together with their massive army of monsters, and Dawn's problems would be solved.
In fact, Dawn would be able to conquer the southeast of the forest if he could just finish up this task.
That was why Dawn wanted and needed to find the hyenas now.
"Didi." Dawn murmured as he felt that the goblins have caught up to him once more.
"Yes, king?" Didi spoke as he appeared right behind Dawn and he was kneeling even though they were standing on top of a branch of a tree.
It was quite amazing how the branch of the tree didn't collapse or something like that even though it was holding the weight of two heavy goblins.
"Stay here. I will scour the forest to find the hyenas, and I will give you guys a signal once I see them."
And as soon as he said those words, Dawn disappeared as the wind blew near them.
Didi was just...he just acknowledged the order, and stood up as he passed the order given to him by the king to the other goblins.
After all, since the king said that he would go find the enemies himself, there was nothing that they could do now except to wait for his word again.
And Dawn was...he was currently flying in the air right now. No, to be exact, Dawn was looking down on the forest as he...grabbed hold of Oz's foot.
Right, Dawn called down Oz to make sure that he would be able to find the hyenas right now.
Dawn was getting desperate enough to even use Oz, the secret trump card that Dawn was saving for desperate situations.
However, that was only normal as Dawn really didn't have the time to waste anymore.
"There are no other monsters in the area, did all of them run?" Dawn said as he looked down on the forest.
Now that he could take a better look at the forest, he could see that there were no more monsters staying in here.
There were no more monsters littered around, nor were there any monsters trying to run away from the river of blood.
That is why Dawn thought that the monsters have run away from this place as they were no longer here, not even one monster could be felt from this place.
After all, it would be more common sense to think that the monsters have run away from this place after what happened with the river of blood.
"Am I just wasting my time here? Hmm..." Dawn murmured as he tried to think about what to do in this situation.
Since the monsters were no longer here, Dawn could confidently say that the hyenas have already escaped from this place.
After all, their subordinates were no longer here. There's no way that the top bosses would be left behind when their subordinates have already escaped.
And since the top bosses of the southeast of the forest are no longer here, that means that...Dawn has nothing to do in this place anymore.
Nothing at all and everything that he has done up until now was all a waste.
"I have no choice, we have to retreat from this place and regroup with Moris before doing anything else. If they have already escaped from this place, they would have been able to regroup and form their ranks again."
"And if they have done something like that already, there's no way we would be able to win."
What Dawn said was the truth. The goblins wouldn't be able to win against the monsters if they went head-on.
The only reason why Dawn even considered going back was that the hyenas don't have any monsters near them as the river of blood just finished ravaging the forest.
And since the hyenas have retreated and most likely have regrouped with the monsters, they wouldn't be able to fight now.
What's more, Dawn was sure that the explosion was not able to kill many monsters at all.
Although he was sure that he did kill a lot of monsters that formed the river of blood that ravaged the forest, it was still small compared to the sheer amount of monsters that first appeared in this place.
And if the surviving monsters were able to escape and regroup with the hyenas, their numbers alone would be able to trample the goblins to death.
That was why Dawn had no other choice but to retreat and get away from this place.
If they get away from this place and then find Moris, then things might become a little bit more advantageous for the goblins.
After all, Moris was on his way to destroy the other fortresses. If Moris has done his job pretty well, then there should be no more monsters in the southeast other than the monsters with the hyenas.
What's more, Moris alone would prove to be more useful than anything else in this situation.
Moris would be able to distract any of the legendary hyenas, and this would give Dawn the necessary time to kill one of the legendary hyenas.
Of course, that was not all as Oz was in this place, too, which would boost their chances of winning the war.
Well, it's not like things would suddenly become better if they just meet up with Moris or something like that.
They still would have to ascertain things in this situation before doing anything, and that was exactly what Dawn planned to do.
"Oz, return." Dawn said as he made up his heart and made the decision to retreat and meet up with Moris.
And as soon as he said those words, Dawn took off the hand holding on to Oz, and Oz began to rise in the air as he returned to the place where he came from.
Of course, that was the place where Oz was hiding, and the place where Oz was waiting for Dawn's order once more.
Dawn was...he was falling quite fast, but it was really no problem as Dawn was able to land on the ground quite safely and with no problem at all.
And as soon as Dawn landed on the ground, he quickly disappeared as he went back to the place where he left the goblins around.
Of course, Dawn couldn't remember where they were stationed exactly, which is why he used his senses to try and find them.
It didn't take him long to find them and as soon as he found them, Dawn disappeared from the ground as he started to run towards the goblins.
It seems that Dawn was quite far away from them as Dawn was not able to reach them that fast, but...since his speed was fast, it was only a matter of time until he reaches them again.
And it seems that was indeed the truth as Dawn could now see with his naked eyes Didi and the others in this place.
"We will retreat from this place, follow me. We would go and regroup with Moris before doing anything else." Dawn said as soon as he arrived in front of Didi and the others.
Of course, as soon as Dawn said all those words, he disappeared again as he began to move and run from one tree to another.
And since their king has already given the order, the other goblins quickly followed right after him.
Right, they followed right after him without even thinking so much.
After all, there was no need for thinking when it was their king.
However, it seems that the goblins were getting tired as...they weren't able to follow Dawn that fast.
