The moment that Phoebe immersed herself inside the liquid, the liquid began penetrating into her body through the pores that were found on her skin.
When they entered into her body, they managed to enter her bloodstream. Immediately after that, they began activating the cells that were found inside the bloodstream, making them to begin acting faster.
Other than that, the liquid managed to increase the speed at which the blood was moving around the body. And with the increase in the circulation speed of the blood, the metabolic reaction of the body was also increased.
The liquid also began calming the cells that had already been strained by the intense training that Phoebe had been undergoing. The burden that was almost threatening to destroy them was immediately relieved from the cells, and the cells began getting rejuvenated.
With this, Phoebe's body began relaxing from the intense training. And other than that, the cells that had already began wear out became strengthened. And with the strength of the cells increasing, the strength that Phoebe possessed also increased.
Even though the level of strength that was increasing in Phoebe's body was not that high, but still, after a long time of continuous training, the amount of strength that would have increased could not be ignored at all.
Had it been a man who was doing this, then, by now, their body is would have already become so bulky. But, due to the anatomy of the female body, it did not allow the development of muscles to a great extent. But still, Phoebe was quite muscular for a lady.
After about 1 hour, Phoebe finally opened her eyes inside the pod. And the moment that she did that, she pressed the button that was inside the liquid. That button was protected, and it was not affected by the liquid that was inside the pod.
The moment that she pressed the button, the green liquid inside the pod that had now become almost colorless finally began draining. As for where it went, it was down the pod.
After all the liquid was drained away, Phoebe pressed another button yet, opening the glass in front of her. It turned out that there was yet another entrance into the pod, other than the one that was at the top.
Completely drenched, the clothes that Phoebe was wearing tightly hugged her skin. Still, Phoebe cared nonetheless. It was not as if there was anyone inside here to watch her.
After feeling the strength that had improved, although not by a large margin, she was satisfied. It was just that, the level of satisfaction was not high, because she thought that is process was a little slow for her.
"I need to get higher level resources. Otherwise, I'm going to take a very long period of time to be able to reach the second stage of the superhuman level." Phoebe muttered with a slight frown on her face.
The green liquid that she had utilized was something that only superhumans could use. But, it was of a low quality, something that was always distributed to the small strongholds.
Phoebe believed that as long as she managed to get high level resources, she would be able to easily reach the second stage of the superhuman level. It was just that, it was a difficult task to be able to acquire high level resources.
Of course, Phoebe was dissatisfied by this. After all, although she was from a small stronghold, that did not imply that she was not intending to grow stronger. And it's not in that those big strongholds always kept the best resources for themselves, she believed that even the small strongholds would have already grown by now.
"I'm currently sure that there is a lot of resources inside the vaults of those big strongholds. We are currently facing on enemy that is invading our planet, but those idiots keep on keeping the resources that they are not even using. I don't know what they are saving the resources for, when there are a lot of people that require them." With displeasure in her voice, Phoebe stated.
After a few seconds, Phoebe finally exited the training room and went towards the room that was inside this floor, that was set aside for her to relax.
After getting there, she went into the bathroom, took a shower, before changing into another pair of casual clothes. With that finally out of the way, she fell onto the bed that was inside the room, and fell asleep.
This was a routine that she had maintained for a long time now. She knew that although she had to reach a higher level as soon as possible, if she did not maintain a period of training and rest, then, rather than improving, she was going to deteriorate.
After reaching the superhuman level, it all depended on the cells in the body. If the cells in the body were affected, then, it was going to be difficult for her to be able to break another genetic lock, reaching another stage of the superhuman level.
.....
Back to Jack, he and his group moved around the stronghold. Samantha had already planned on where they were going to stay. Since they could not stay close to the big organizations, she had decided to head in the direction of the small organizations.
The operation of this stronghold was not that much different from a normal city. For that reason, Samantha was able to acquire a building. This building was not that big, it was a four-storey building.
But to purchase it, Samantha had to spend a lot of star coins. Star coins were the currency that was used inside the stronghold. If it was converted back to dollars, a single star coins could be equal to $10,000.
In order to purchase this building, Samantha had to spend 700 star coins. As it could be seen, the prices of things inside the stronghold was expensive. That was more so for the buildings, considering that, it was not that easy to expand the stronghold.
For that reason, the number of buildings inside the stronghold was limited. To be able to acquire a good building here, one needed to spend a lot. As for the area where the organizations were located, it was completely difficult to even get a building there. As for the prices of a building if it was found, there was no information how high it was going to be.
A lot of people would always rush forward in order to acquire the building if it appeared. So, in the end, the building is always sold to a person who possesses the best connections, or the highest bidder.
Currently, Samantha did not have that much star coins. Instead, she only possessed about 270,000 star coins. These were the coins that she had managed to accumulate by now.
Although it might seem that she possessed a lot, but, when it came to purchasing resources, these star coins were nothing at all. The prices of the resources that were required for improvement were expensive.
Until now, Samantha had not purchased a lot of resources. She usually depended on the resources that were offered by the organization. But now that she was no longer part of the organization, she had to depend on herself, and on Jack if he was willing to help her.
The building that she had purchased was just like an apartment building. Just that, on each floor, there was like an entire apartment that occupied the whole floor. In other words, it was as if four houses had been stack on each other.
Each floor possessed a living room, three bedrooms, a kitchen, and finally, the washroom. As for the training facilities, they were not equipped in such a building that was found in the very outskirts of the stronghold.
If one want to train, they would have to visit a training facility that was set up by a certain organization. But still, they would have to pay in order to be able to train.
Jack's group settled. Jack was given the top floor, taking it together with Celine. As for Diana and Samantha, the two of them took the floor that was just below them.
As for the second floor and the ground floor, they were not occupied. Instead, they were left aside, as Jack was having plans for them.
....
While all of this was happening, Daniel had managed to go back to the city that was located outside of the stronghold. He met up with the group of mercenaries, the previous soldiers, and informed them about the mission.
They could not help but wonder why the mission was so simple this time. Just to investigate a person? It was not as if they had been told to go over and look for that person.
"Do you perhaps have the image of the person that we are supposed to look for?" Ivy asked. She was completely unwilling to leave the stronghold domain. She had only recently arrived, but, it seems that she was not lucky enough that her brother had already been given a mission to go out of the stronghold to me again.
After hearing Ivy's question, Daniel took out the drawing and passed it over. When the group looked at it, they made sure to make a mental of the appearance of the young man on the drawing.
Ivy on the other hand had a strange expression on her face as she looked at the image. She looked at her brother, before looking back at the image, wondering what was going on.
Daniel also noticed that there was something wrong with the expression on Ivy's face. "What's wrong? Do you perhaps know him?" Daniel asked. If it was true that Ivy knew that person, then, that was going to make the mission easier. He had been given a timeline, something that he had yet to inform the group about.
"Are you sure that this is the person that we are supposed to look for? Or is there something wrong with the mission?" Ivy asked once again.
"Yes. Is there something wrong?" Daniel asked once again.
"Although I am not sure, but, I saw this guy coming over at the mercenaries land. If my guess is not wrong, they should have already entered the stronghold domain." Ivy stated.
