After having breakfast at the family restaurant, we decided to go to a supermarket called ‘C.U.’ right next to the station.

Maybe it was because I had a beautiful face now, but I felt a lot of stares from people around me, but they seemed to lose interest when they saw the girl I was with and realized I had a child.

There was only beer in the fridge at home, so I just had to make sure I had a good balance of vegetables, meat, and fruit.

The rest of the time, I would buy curry, pasta, and other retort foods for when I got busy.

Of course, I was planning to make the basic meals of homemade food with love.

(As I recall, I was quite a drinker in my previous life. Was that the reason I got hit by a truck?)

I couldn’t remember much about it, but I had a feeling about it.

(Yeah, let’s get rid of the beer in the fridge and the cigarettes in the room. I don’t want myself smelling like alcohol.)

1If she was working at night, it would be an inevitable reason, but looking around the apartment, I didn’t see any sign that the woman who was now me was working at a cabaret club or anything like that.

Could it be that she was unemployed?

I purposely left my phone at home because I didn’t know how I would react if this woman’s friends or other people contacted me, but I would check things out when I got back to my apartment.

I was sorry if I was invading other people’s privacy, but I had got a lot on my plate now that I suddenly had a child, so please bear with me.

(We had children’s lunch in the morning, what should we have for lunch?)

With that in mind, the girl and I slowly made our way to the candy corner.

(No, wait a minute. I was so excited about the children’s lunch. Isn’t this possibly raising the bar for lunch food?

The girl is still happily holding the flag that was stuck in the rice with her right hand, but toothpick was removed because it was dangerous.)

(In this case, I’ll just ask her directly what she wants to eat.)

I was about to ask, “Hey, what do you want for lunch…?” when I saw her staring at a box of sweets.

It was a story about beautiful warriors fighting against an evil organization that I had also seen in a previous life, and it was a very popular anime among little girls, adult men and women.

The girl kept staring at the chocolate with the character’s picture on it.

“Do you want it?”

The girl turned to me when she heard me and opened her mouth,

“I can’t be selfish if I want something.”

Maybe this child had been holding back for a long time, even though there were things she wanted.

I didn’t see anything that looked like a toy in that apartment either.

In that case, there was only one thing for me to do.

“Today is good.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yeah!”

The girl smiled as if a flower had bloomed and brought out one of the sweets and put it in the basket.

Maybe she wanted it because it contained a heart-shaped toy with an anime character on it.

It was pink and seemed to be called a pact, and could be opened and closed, with a mirror inside.

Some of them seemed to come with cosmetics for children.

The fact that she wanted such a thing was very cute, just like a little girl.

“And what do you want for lunch?”

“Ochiru’s bento?”

Apparently, this girl thinks that rice is lunch.

Someone please give me credit for not crying.
