If I doodle, would you still kiss me?
Ji Guichen’s question rang in his ears with an air of inexplicable ambiguity. Bai Zhi bit his lips and quietly looked out of the corner of his eye:
“I do.”
As soon as he spoke, Bai Zhi’s nose was pinched. He widened his eyes and reached his hand out to touch his own nose bridge, gazing at Ji Guichen somewhat confusedly.
Seeing him like this, Ji Guichen could not help laughing softly. His face which originally had some coldness became lively the next moment, and his eyes brimmed with a youth’s vitality. Bai Zhi‘s motion of touching his face was instantly halted, with his lips slightly parted and his eyes motionless, staring at Ji Guichen dumbfoundedly.
“Little fool, come back to your senses.” Ji Guichen glanced at a certain someone who was in a daze again, saying somewhat helplessly: “If you still don’t turn around and pay attention to class, I’ll kiss you.”
“Ok!”
Bai Zhi leaned forward happily, raising one of his hands high to poke his own cheek: “Kiss here kiss here.”
Ji Guichen was startled by these actions of his, and he hesitated a moment before saying: “…That was a punishment, did you understand?”
“Punishment?” Bai Zhi thought before saying: “I want that punishment.”
“That’s not–” Ji Guichen felt that he could not explain this matter clearly. He thought deeply for half a day and was preparing to explain to Bai Zhi that punishment was not a good thing when a sonorous voice rang through the classroom.
“The two next to the backmost window have been chirping since class started, what are they doing now?”
Bai Zhi swiveled his head around for half a day: “Uncle, which two people were chirping? How come I didn’t see?”
System: “On the contrary, I saw very clearly.”
“En?”
Bai Zhi was a little curious and was about to question his uncle further when his collar was suddenly tugged and he was lifted from his seat in one go.
Ji Guichen only released the hand holding Bai Zhi after he stood up. He bent his waist and bowed towards the podium, his words carrying a bit of regret:
“Sorry teacher, we know we were wrong.”
Only then did the expression of the math teacher with a bald spot improve a little, and he said: “Ji Guichen, you sit down first. Xie Siliu, what about you?”
“Me?” Bai Zhi blinked his eyes: “I can sit down? Thank you then.”
After he spoke, he sat down by himself.
The surrounding group of dumbfounded students: “…”
The teacher who had originally almost calmed down: “…!!”
“You go stand outside!”
Bai Zhi stood up from his seat very confusedly and walked out of the classroom, looking back every three steps. Ji Guichen was torn between anger and laughter and stood up again with a face full of helplessness:
“Both of us were the ones who were wrong, I will stand with him.”
After he finished speaking, he followed Bai Zhi out and stood beside him.
“Why did you also come out?”
“To look at you.” Ji Guichen sighed: “You didn’t know the teacher was referring to us?”
“I didn’t know.” Bai Zhi replied very honestly: “I thought there was another couple in our class.”
“You–” Ji Guichen was about to speak when the sound of footsteps suddenly rang out. He gazed at the source of the sound in the distance, narrowed his eyes slightly, and raised his hand to pull Bai Zhi behind himself.
“Don’t say anything, the teacher is coming.”
Bai Zhi didn’t understand why he had to switch places for the punishment when the teacher came, but before long he understood why.
The two pillars and the shape of the wall worked together to form a blind spot. Ji Guichen stood in front of him and was able to firmly shield Bai Zhi’s body from view.
The teacher furrowed his brows and glanced at Ji Guichen from a distance. Distracted, he didn’t see the Bai Zhi hiding behind Ji Guichen’s body.
It was only until he walked far away that Bai Zhi reacted. Just as he was about to speak, Ji Guichen suddenly stretched his arm out and pressed on his left hand.
Bai Zhi was a little surprised and was about to open his mouth to ask when he felt his palm itch.
He turned out. Ji Guichen’s head was currently lowered, and his right hand was tracing out stroke after stroke on his palm.
A horizontal stroke, a vertical stroke.
The same strokes Ji Guichen taught him that day.
Bai Zhi’s heart trembled and his palm couldn’t help shrinking back a bit. Ji Guichen glanced at him, slowly retracting his arm:
“Remember, no more doodling allowed.”
Ji Guichen said this in a threatening tone. Bai Zhi rubbed his head and thought for half a day before carefully and tentatively opening his mouth:
“If I doodle, would you still kiss me?”
