Zixiang Pavilion was not far from the police station. It was one of the most prestigious restaurants in the city. The interior of the restaurant was simple and elegant. Gold carved screens divided the lobby into several areas. Guests who came here felt that they had gone back to ancient times.

The waiter led Shen Yin around the innermost screen, then bowed and left.

This was another benefit of Zixiang Pavilion. The staff here did not pay too much attention to the customers, much less spread gossip about them. That was why Yun Shan had chosen this place.

She looked at the expressionless Shen Yin, who was still sitting opposite her. The corners of her lips curled as she arrogantly put down the cosmetic mirror in her hand and elegantly poured a cup of tea.

Shen Yin sneered and leaned back against the soft seat. Her eyes were filled with contempt and ridicule. “I thought you would improve after six years. Looks like I overestimated you. If you have something to say, just say it. I don’t have time to argue with you.”

Yun Shan hated Shen Yin’s pretentious attitude. Her tone instantly turned cold. “Shen Yin, leave Lian Jing and don’t affect our relationship. As long as you promise not to seduce Lian Jing again, I guarantee that your son’s biological father will never appear.”

Shen Yin suddenly understood why Yun Shan had not managed to become Lian Jing’s wife despite being with him for so many years. She could not help but smile. Although she used her hand to shield her mouth, her upturned lips were still visible.

Yun Shan was livid. She glared at Shen Yin, who had suddenly started laughing. Yun Shan said in a loud and shrill voice, “What are you laughing at? Why you so smug? Do you think that Lian Jing has committed to you just because he brought you to visit his Grandpa? Stop dreaming. Besides, I’ve already slept with Lian Jing! He’s already my man!”

Yun Shan finished shouting all this in one breath. Then she pushed her hair behind her ears and smugly waited to see Shen Yin’s ugly expression.

However, Shen Yin disappointed her. She put down her hand, but continued to smile. If Yun Shan looked closely, she could even see a hint of sympathy in Shen Yin’s eyes. “I think you’ve misunderstood. It’s Lian Jing who’s wooing me. He even offered be my son’s stepfather. I haven’t agreed yet.”

She paused for a moment and admired Yun Shan’s disbelieving expression. Then, she continued, “As for you sleeping with him, I’ll wait to give my opinion because you don’t look you’re smart enough to climb into his bed.”

Yun Shan’s face darkened and her chest heaved up and down violently. A seed of jealousy took root in the bottom of her heart. “Are you saying that I’m not worthy of him? But you are?”

Shen Yin nodded approvingly. “You can even understand human language, which means that you’re not too stupid. However, it’s a pity that you didn’t sleep with Lian Jing in the past. I’m afraid it will be even more impossible in the future. If I crook my finger, Lian Jing will climb into my bed himself.”

“Yin Yin, since you’re so confident, why don’t we give it a try?”

A playful voice suddenly rang out behind her.

Shen Yin jumped in fright. She felt as if a row of ants were crawling along her spine, making it tingle. She subconsciously sat up straight.

Yun Shan stood up and leaned against Lian Jing pitifully. “President Lian! Did you hear what she said about you behind your back? This kind of woman is not worth your time. She’s just playing with your feelings.”

Lian Jing did not even look at the scheming Yun Shan. All his attention was on the petrified Shen Yin. It was rare to see her looking as if she was facing an enemy. Lian Jing found it refreshing and the desire to tease her arose.

“Yin Yin, didn’t you just say that you wanted to crook your finger at me? Why don’t we find time to try that?”

He had received a text message from Shen Yin and was afraid that Yun Shan would tell her some nonsense to make her think that there was something going between him and Yun Shan. He had even postponed a meeting and rushed over to Zixiang Pavilion. He did not expect to hear Shen Yin say such words.

He wanted to be angry, but he felt inexplicably happy when he heard Shen Yin use his fancy for her to show off.

Although he had not spent much time with Shen Yin, he had seen all kinds of hypocritical people in the business world, so he could discern Shen Yin’s true nature.

She was not the kind woman who played with other people’s feelings. If she said something like that, besides trying to provoke Yun Shan, it also meant that she was not as indifferent to him as she pretended to be.
