Shen Yin no longer had the mood to continue reading. She turned off her cell phone and curled up under the blanket, forcing herself to sleep.

At dawn the next day, the nurse entered the ward on time.

When she saw Shen Yin alone in the ward, she asked curiously, “Where’s your super considerate and gentle boyfriend from yesterday?”

Shen Yin looked up in surprise and saw that it was the nurse who had seen Lu Chen carrying her back yesterday.

She pursed her lips and frowned in displeasure. “He’s not my boyfriend. We’re just strangers.”

The nurse was stunned. She stole a glance at Shen Yin’s expression and thought that perhaps the couple had quarreled. She did not say anything else, but left the ward after checking on her.

The nurse only remembered something before she left. She stood by the door and informed Shen Yin jokingly, “Someone called the hospital this morning. They’re very concerned about your injuries and even said that they were coming to visit you.”

Shen Yin asked curiously, “Who is it?”

The nurse thought for a moment. “That person said she’s your Auntie.”

“Auntie?” Shen Yin frowned. When did she have an auntie?

Shen Yin suddenly thought of something. She was shocked and wanted to ask a few more questions, but the nurse had already left and returned to her post to continue working.

Shen Yin rubbed her temples in disgust. At the moment, only one person who would refer to herself as Auntie. She just did not know why that woman was coming to see her.

Lian’e snorted and looked embarrassed. Fu Xiao, on the other hand, smiled and moved the chair under her. He coaxed her softly, “It’s hard to wear high heels. You can sit while I stand.”

“Is that so?” The corners of Lian’e’s lips curled up into a mocking smile. “But I heard that the police only took a simple statement from you. They didn’t do a detailed physical examination, right?”

Shen Yin looked up at her coldly. “Miss Lian, if you have something to say, just say it.”

Lian’e chuckled. “You want to marry into the Lian Family, but the Lian Family can’t have a dirty woman. Do you know how powerful the Lian Family is? The woman who gives birth to our future heir can’t be someone who might have been violated by a hooligan. The Lian Family’s bloodline has to be pure.”

She made it sound as if others were dying to give birth to Lian Jing’s child.
