When they returned to the Lian residence, Shen Nian and Grandpa Lian had already received the news that Shen Yin had been discharged from the hospital. The two of them were sitting on the sofa in the living room, playing chess while waiting for Shen Yin.

When Shen Nian heard noise at the door, he hurried over. “Mom, I missed you so much.”

Shen Yin picked up her son and kissed him affectionately on the cheek. She wanted to carry him upstairs, but Shen Nian, suddenly shivered. He struggled to out of her embrace and hid behind Grandpa Lian.

Shen Yin frowned and followed her son’s fearful gaze. She saw Lian Jing standing at the door, exuding a forbidding aura. His eyes were fixed on Shen Yin’s lips, and his gaze darkened, causing Shen Yin to shiver uncontrollably.

Old Master Lian pulled Shen Nian away with a smile, so that the two of them could have some space.

Shen Yin sighed helplessly. “President Lian, that’s your son.”

Lian Jing looked away coldly and did not even look at her. He carried the box that he had not given to her and entered the dining room without saying a word.

The atmosphere at the dining table was tense. Grandpa Lian was still eating calmly. After Shen Nian had eaten his fill, Grandpa Lian pulled him outside for a walk.

Seeing that the two of them had left, Shen Yin put down her chopsticks and got up to return to her room. However, Lian Jing suddenly stood up and grabbed her arm, pulling her in front of him. “Shen Yin, do you have anything you would like to explain to me?”

Explain? What did she have to explain to him?

Shen Yin glanced at him with her beautiful eyes and said indifferently, “No.”

Lian Jing did not want to quibble with her. He dragged her into a guest room on the first floor and pressed her against the door. “Who did you have lunch with? Did you go on a blind date?”

“Are you crazy? I didn’t go on a blind date.” She frowned and tried to push him away, but failed. She could only lower her hands and look at him helplessly. “I just happened to meet Li Zi, who was on a blind date.”

Lian Jing suddenly smiled casually. His lips curled up with a hint of playfulness. “Then you’re quite unlucky.”

“Yes.” Shen Yin sighed. “Li Zi was humiliated in public this time. Fortunately, she was magnanimous and did not take it to heart. When I called her this afternoon, she was still at work as usual.”

Lian Jing seemed uninterested in other people’s affairs. He deliberately raised his injured hand and waved it in front of Shen Yin. “Help me shower.”

“?” Why was this man acting like a hooligan?!

Shen Yin glared at him. “No.”

Lian Jing pretended to frown in distress. “But my hand is injured because of you.”

Shen Yin rolled her eyes. “You can ask the servants to help you. Also, you were the one who punched the wall for no reason and got injured. It has nothing to do with me.”

Lian Jing grabbed her arm with his undamaged hand. His eyes were firm and serious. “I don’t like to let anyone other than you touch my body.”

Shen Yin’s heart beat faster for no reason. Her face was so flushed it felt like a boiling kettle. She stuttered, “I… I don’t want to.”

However, Lian Jing grabbed her hand and placed it on his chest. His eyes were serious. “If you agree to help me now, I’ll only ask you to wash my upper body. Otherwise…”

He leaned close to Shen Yin’s ear and said in a low and charming voice, “Otherwise, I’ll take it that you want to do a good deed and help me wash my entire body.”

“You scoundrel.” Shen Yin pretended to push him away, but Lian Jing straightened himself and looked at her teasingly. “I’m not forcing you. I’m just asking you to take responsibility.”

Shen Yin’s heart was pounding, and her mind was filled with the image of Lian Jing, who had been so close to her just now. His handsome face was suddenly magnified in front of her eyes, and it had a vast impact on her.

She let Lian Jing hold her hand and unbutton his shirt. For some reason, she did not resist. She only bit her lower lip lightly. She did not know if she was feeling nervous, or some other emotion.

Shen Yin closed her eyes in shame, but Lian Jing still moved closer to her ear. “Why don’t you dare to look at me?”

His hand took hers, sliding from his tight pectoral muscles all the way down to his lower abdomen. She could clearly feel the violent rise and fall of his chest and his abdomen gradually heating up.

Shen Yin seemed be scalded by this heat. She abruptly retracted her hand and hid it behind her back. She kept her eyes closed, but she bit her lip so hard that it started to hurt.

Lian Jing raised his hand and caressed her lips, freeing her lower lip from her teeth. After enduring for a while, he finally removed his hand from her mouth and turned around to take off his shirt.

Shen Yin secretly opened her eyes to peek at him. Seeing that he had turned around, her hand that was behind her back quietly reached towards the door lock. Before she could open the door and escape, Lian Jing suddenly turned around and approached her. “Have you forgotten what I said just now?”

“No.” After saying that, Shen Yin turned her head away regretfully. She was in such a hurry to deny it that she sounded as if she was willing to help him bathe.

Sure enough, Lian Jing looked smug. He pulled Shen Yin’s hand and walked towards the bathroom.

Shen Yin hit on an idea out of desperation. She clung tightly to the door frame, refusing to let him drag her into such a dangerous place.
