129 Resolution
“President Lian, what are you doing here?” Li Zi wanted to laugh but did not dare to. She almost choked from her repressed laughter and was forced to turn her head away. Her shoulders trembled as she changed the topic.
Lian Jing continued to look at Shen Yin and gave a fake smile. “I’m here to see if a certain heartless woman has died.”
Shen Yin looked up and glared at him. “Sorry to disappoint you, President Lian. I’m alive and well. Please leave, President Lian.”
Lian Jing raised his head and looked away briefly. His gaze fell on Li Zi, who was watching the show. “Which room does she sleep in?”
Li Zi pointed to the bedroom on the left. Lian Jing immediately stood up and strode towards it. Shen Yin reacted quickly and blocked the bedroom door, bumping into Lian Jing, who was walking into the room.
Shen Yin staggered from the impact and slipped backward, her jacket falling to the ground.
Li Zi cried out in surprise and rushed over to catch Shen Yin. If she fell like this, she would probably break a bone.
Before she could move, Lian Jing gripped Shen Yin’s waist firmly and pulled her in his arms. By lowering his eyes slightly, he could see the top of her head and her exposed smooth skin.
Lian Jing could not help but stroke it a few times, but Shen Yin pushed him away.
“Thank you, President Lian.” Shen Yin picked up her jacket and was about to put it on when Lian Jing snatched it and threw it into the trash can.
“Don’t!”
Shen Yin panicked and tried to pick it up, but Lian Jing immediately glared at her unhappily. “Why? Can’t bear to throw it away?”
“I have to return it to him.” Shen Yin sighed and helplessly picked the jacket out of the trash can, wondering if she should buy another one to compensate him.
Hearing her say that made Lian Jing feel much better. He smiled nonchalantly. “It’s just a piece of clothing. I threw it away. I’ll compensate him for you.”
Shen Yin ignored him and walked into the room with the jacket. Just as she was about to close the door, Lian Jing actually clung onto the door and refused to let go. He stared at Shen Yin’s gown and pouted unhappily. “Take it off.”
His commanding tone did not give Shen Yin any room to refuse.
However, Shen Yin did not do as he wished. She leaned against the door with one hand and tugged at his tie with the other hand. She suddenly looked up at Lian Jing teasingly. “You just want to see me naked, don’t you?”
Lian Jing’s breathing stopped. An image of her exquisite body involuntarily flashed across his mind, and his throat tightened. He looked nervously at her deliberately seductive posture and paused. “If you’re willing, I…”
Before he could finish, Shen Yin closed the door with a bang and quickly locked it. Then, she gloated in the room. “Dream on!”
“Shen Yin!” Lian Jing growled and glared at the door. He wished he could smash the door open and teach this woman, who dared to tease him, a lesson.
She was getting bolder and bolder. It seemed that he had been too nice to her!
Li Zi saw which way the wind was blowing and hid in her room. At the moment, she was pressed against the door, eavesdropping on the commotion outside. With a sly smile, she silently praised her good friend.
Men just should not be spoiled. Although she did not know what was going on, she was unconditionally on Shen Yin’s side.
At two in the morning, there was no movement outside. The lights in the living room were turned off.
Shen Yin woke up and lay in bed. She thought that Lian Jing had left, so she left the bedroom unwarily and went to the washroom.
When she passed by the sofa, a pair of cold hands suddenly grabbed her calf tightly. Shen Yin was shocked. She looked down and realized that Lian Jing was sleeping on the sofa.
Why didn’t he go home? Why did he have to sleep here?
Lian Jing’s voice was hoarse as he scolded in a low voice, “Heartless creature, have you finally come out to see me?”
Shen Yin laughed warily and explained very honestly, “I came out to go to the washroom.”
Lian Jing glared at her fiercely, but the living room was too dark for Shen Yin to see clearly.
She moved her legs and whispered angrily, “Let go.”
Not only did Lian Jing refuse to let go, he even sat up and pulled her into his arms. He asked expressionlessly, “Are you cold?”
Shen Yin sucked in a breath of cold air. Lian Jing’s arms were cold. Although it was not winter, it was almost autumn. If he slept in the living room now without a blanket, he would definitely catch a cold.
Shen Yin sighed and said softly, “Go home and sleep. It’s better than freezing here.”
Lian Jing narrowed his eyes. “Then come back with me.”
Shen Yin pushed him away and broke free from his embrace. “I won’t go back.”
Lian Jing glared at her in frustration. “What do you mean? Shen Yin, don’t tell me you don’t plan to return to the Lian residence!”
Shen Yin clenched her fists tightly and endured her pain at parting with Shen Nian. She said in a low voice, “I’ll visit Nian Nian when I have time.”
“Shen Yin! Do you mean you will never return to the Lian residence again?!” Lian Jing stood up angrily. His eyes had adapted to the darkness in the living room, and he could vaguely see the determination on her face.
Lian Jing’s chest heaved up and down violently, and he panicked for no reason. He grabbed Shen Yin’s arm, and only then did he feel a little comforted, but it was only a drop in the bucket.
