Shen Yin did not believe him. She struggled to escape his embrace. “Do you think I’ll believe you? If you didn’t give her your phone, how could she have obtained my phone number?”

“She’s really my sister.” Lian Jing knocked on the car window helplessly.

Lian Meng, who had been scrutinizing Shen Nian outside the car, immediately put on a serious look. She opened the car door and asked, “Brother, what’s the matter?”

Lian Jing rubbed his furrowed brows and sighed. “You explain.”

Lian Meng quickly bowed and apologized. “I’m sorry, Sister-in-law. I called you as a prank and caused a misunderstanding between you and my brother. Please forgive me.”

Shen Yin remembered her voice. This woman was really his sister. Only then did she realize that it had been a huge misunderstanding and she had even deleted Lian Jing’s contact information.

She smiled awkwardly. “I understand. It’s alright. You don’t have to apologize.”

“Sister-in-law.” Lian Meng held her hand happily. “Does that mean you’ve forgiven me?”

“Yeah.”

With Shen Yin’s agreement, Lian Meng patted her brother’s shoulder proudly. “Sister-in-law is more magnanimous than you. This time, you can’t chase me overseas again, right?”

Lian Jing slammed the car door shut, blocking out her voice. He turned to look at Shen Yin with a smile. “Do you admit that you’re in the wrong? Hurry up and add my number back.”

Shen Yin deliberately moved closer to Lian Jing and narrowed her eyes in a fake smile. Under Lian Jing’s increasingly expectant gaze, she raised her eyebrows smugly. “No.”

“How dare you!” Lian Jing grabbed her chin and forced this evil woman to look straight at him. “I have a way to make you add my contact information.”

They got into the car and returned to the Lian residence. Li Zi had been busy all night. Seeing that Shen Yin and Shen Nian were, she felt relieved and went home to rest.

When they reached the Lian residence, Lian Meng wanted to see Grandpa Lian first. However, Lian Jing raised his hand to stop her. “It’s so late, Grandpa will be asleep. You can see him tomorrow.”

Lian Meng had no choice but to give up. She winked mischievously at Shen Yin. “Sister-in-law, this is our first meeting. I should give you a big gift, but my brother hasn’t been nice to me lately. He has ordered me around so much that I’m giddy. I’ll make it up to you next time, okay?”

“You don’t have to give me a gift.” Shen Yin had a good impression of Lian Meng. She was a very cheerful, lively and adorable girl.

“Let her give you something.” Lian Jing decided mercilessly, naturally siding with his wife.

Lian Meng glared at him and exposed him mercilessly. “You didn’t bring Sister-in-law a gift either.”

“Who says I didn’t?” Lian Jing frowned and glanced at Shen Nian. Then, he held Shen Yin’s hand and walked back to the room.

Shen Yin could finally take a good look at her son. As soon as she entered the house, she squatted down and checked him over. She was relieved to see that he was not injured.

Shen Nian eyes were filled with guilty tears. “Mom, I’m sorry. I almost implicated you and Dad.”

“Darling, you didn’t implicate us. I’m the one who has implicated you.” Shen Yin’s heart ached as she hugged her son tightly. No matter how strong and mature he was, he was still a six-year-old child.

When Shen Yin held Shen Nian in her arms, he could not longer hold back his tears, which created a damp spot on her shoulder.

She was filled with regret. If she had not been careless, she would not have been kidnapped and Shen Nian would not be forced to make such a difficult decision.

Lian Jing patted Shen Nian’s head, squatted down, and smiled encouragingly. “Nian Nian did very well. You have to protect Mom in the future too, understand?”

Shen Nian nodded seriously but refused to let go of Shen Yin.

Lian Jing was not the only one who felt the joy of regaining something he had lost. The relief of surviving a calamity made Shen Yin reluctant to let go of Shen Nian.

Lian Jing helplessly looked at the mother and son who could not bear to be parted. In the end, he suppressed his desire to monopolize Shen Yin. However, he was very rough when he grabbed Shen Nian’s collar. “Hurry up and take a shower. Don’t think that you’ll be excused from school tomorrow.”

Shen Yin was amused by the awkward father and son. She stroked Shen Nian’s head and said, “Be good and go quickly. We’ll sleep together tonight.”

After saying that, Shen Yin suddenly realized that Lian Jing was looking at her with a burning gaze and smiling.

The corners of her mouth twitched awkwardly. “I’m sleeping, not doing anything else. Don’t over-think it!”

He hugged Shen Yin’s slender waist and leaned forward to bite her ear. “Did you delete my contact information because you were jealous? Did you think I didn’t want you anymore?”

Shen Yin lowered her eyes and thought of the materials she had prepared to fight for custody. She sighed. “Lian Jing, if you really fall in love with someone else one day, you must tell me. Don’t lie to me. I’ll leave quietly and not disturb you…”

“You!” Before Shen Yin could finish speaking, Lian Jing bent down and picked her up, heading straight for the bathroom in his room.

“What are you doing?” Shen Yin struggled and kicked.

Lian Jing grunted after being kicked. However, he grabbed her hand and used it to caress himself. He looked straight at her. “Look carefully. I only react to you.”
