“Okay.” Lian Jing compromised helplessly and pulled her to wash up.

He knew that he could not change Shen Yin’s mind. Besides, he had not yet figured out why she was so obsessed with being a forensic doctor.

He would not act rashly before he figured it out and he certainly would not insist, which would only push her away again.

The family of three finished their breakfast and got into the car together. Shen Yin sat in the back seat with her son and patiently listened to her son’s worried instructions.

With her mature son, she was always the one who was being cared for.

She looked at her son’s worried face and subconsciously looked at the man in front, who was driving. Suddenly, she chuckled. Her heart grew warm at the thought of their childish actions that morning.

Shen Nian put his hands on his hips gloomily and frowned at his mother, who was obviously not listening to him. He said with a frown, “Mom, you have to listen carefully! Don’t get into trouble again!”

“Got it. I’ll definitely be careful.” Shen Yin nodded seriously and agreed. She could not help but pinch her son’s chubby little face.

Shen Nian let her hold him tightly before sighing helplessly. “Also, Mom, there’s a child called Cheng Mu who wants to be friends with me and even wants to come to our house to play. Is that okay?”

Shen Yin thought of that cute little girl and smiled. “Of course.”

Shen Yin opened the car door and tried to sit in the back seat, but Lian Jing grabbed her arm and stuffed her into the front passenger seat.

Shen Yin looked at him in a daze. She teared up. She was so moved that she wished time would stop.

She nodded slightly and replied firmly, “I won’t escape. Lian Jing, I’ve had my reservations in the past, but I want to give it a try now.”
