197 Interrogation

Lian Jing looked at her without saying a word. Just as Shen Yin thought that he was going to refuse to tell her, he suddenly pulled her into his embrace. He placed his big head on her neck in a familiar gesture and said grimly, “Yin Yin, don’t ask now. I’ll tell you in the future.”

Shen Yin nodded. She could see Lian Jing was serious about this relationship, so she would reciprocate.

The next day, Lian Jing personally drove Shen Yin to work as usual. Before getting out of the car, Lian Jing suddenly grabbed her hand and asked expressionlessly, “When can I openly pick you up at the entrance of the police station?”

Shen Yin could not help but smile. Did he think that he looked very dignified when he pulled a long face?

Zhong Xin had already arranged the documents and was waiting for him at the door of the President’s office. When he saw that Lian Jing had arrived, he hurried over. “President Lian, the Tian Corporation matter is settled. Old Master Tian called just now and said that he wants to see you.”

“Tell him to come to my office at 2 pm.” Lian Jing loosened his tie and sat down in his leather chair. He opened a drawer and took the pair of rings that was hidden there. “Zhong Xin, I have something important for you to do.”

“What’s the matter, President?” Looking at Lian Jing’s loving expression, Zhong Xin sensed that this important matter must have something to do with Shen Yin.

As expected, Lian Jing put aside the rings and took out an invitation letter. “I want the item on the fourth page.”

Zhong Xin was dumbfounded when he saw what it was. He had helped the President investigate Shen Yin and knew that her birthday would be in two days. He thought that the President would use the rings to propose on that day, but he did not expect the President to be so extravagant as to give such a thing.

When Zhong Xin did not reply for a long time, Lian Jing frowned unhappily and looked over.

He was certain that only Shen Yin could do such a thing, so he had called her in a huff to interrogate her.

He did not know that Shen Luo had carelessly collaborated with Tian Ying to scheme against Shen Yin. He thought that Shen Yin was petty and was worried that someone else would get close to Lian Jing, so she fired Shen Luo.

Shen Yin could not be bothered to argue with him. She frowned and said irritably, “You had better ask her why she’s injured and see if she will tell you the truth about what she did behind your back.”

Shen Yin hung up the phone, and her gaze became even colder.

Since Shen Cheng dared to call, it meant that he did not know about the kidnapping incident. Then, it must be Shen Luo’s stupid idea.

Despite that, everyone was on her side and helped her to target Shen Yin. This made Shen Luo think that she was very smart. Otherwise, she would not have attacked Shen Yin openly without discussing the matter with Shen Cheng.
