“Brother, aren’t you concerned about your relationship status?” Zou Sheng leaned over and tried asking again.

Meng Heng suddenly stopped in his tracks and turned to look at him seriously. “Do you like Dr. Shen?”

“Me? How could I?” Zou Sheng thought it was a huge joke. He could not help but wrap his arms around Meng Heng’s shoulder and smile. “You’re still too young to understand. My liking is different from yours. Mine is called admiration.”

He rubbed the stubble on his chin and imagined the beautiful Dr. Shen standing in front of him. He could not help but say, “Who doesn’t like beautiful women? But I don’t have any dirty thoughts. I purely admire beautiful women!”

Meng Heng sneered and continued walking, not letting Zou Sheng continue leaning on him.

“Just minor cases, not like the major case you’re handling.” Zheng Ling leaned on the table curiously and asked, “Sister, did that kind of thing happen to the old lady?”

Shen Yin understood her question and shook her head. “No, the victim’s lower body was not assaulted at all. The murderer just took off her pants and put her in that position.”

“I see.” Zheng Ling heaved a sigh of relief and patted her chest. She brought Shen Yin an apple that had been washed. “Boss, you should eat more fruits and remember your vitamins. We forensic pathologist do physical work. We must have proper nutrition.”

“You’re quite particular about health.” Shen Yin took the apple and took a bite. Then, she took some snacks from her drawer and gave her some. She smiled and said, “Do you want to go out for lunch together? It’s my treat.”

“Sure! Of course!” Zheng Ling happily chewed on the apple, her cheeks bulging like a hamster that was stuffed with food.

The two of them were discussing what to eat for lunch when someone knocked on the office door.

Shen Yin looked up and saw Wu Zheng standing at the door with a solemn expression. He said in a deep voice, “Dr. Shen, sorry to disturb you. I’m afraid you have to follow me to the crime scene again. There’s been another murder.”

Shen Yin gathered her equipment and followed Wu Zheng to the back alley of a bar in the Chengxi. The police officers who had arrived at the scene before them had already cordoned off the area

When Shen Yin and the others got out of the car, they were surprised to see a familiar figure outside the cordon.
