Vol. 1 - Ch. 10 - A Chance Encounter

Name:I Can See Big Data Author:笔之海
After a day of rest, Li Han returned to the 4S dealership. It was already the end of the month, April 27th.

Due to Yang Hualin's "sudden situation," Li Han had already assured of being the sales champion, but in reality, the bonus of only two thousand yuan didn't catch his attention at all.

Of course, for the current Li Han, even the fifty-thousand yuan bonuses for the annual sales champion didn't interest him.

But, around ten in the morning, Wang Man's cousin came again, still for the car refund.

Because it involved a loan, it was quite complicated. You could either go to court or negotiate privately.

As Yang Hualin also had a legitimate girlfriend, he didn't want the matter to escalate. So, the final agreement was that he would bear the interest on the loan, and Wang Man's cousin would receive a normal refund.

But Wang Man's cousin still seemed dissatisfied with the outcome. After all, someone had slept with his wife. But now, Yang Hualin had already fallen from grace, and it would be difficult for him to continue here. Both of them could be considered to have suffered losses.

"Hey, bro!" After finalizing the agreement with Manager Hu, the guy immediately found Li Han and enthusiastically patted his shoulder, asking, "How did it go with my sister?"

"It's alright. I managed to get her WeChat account, but we haven't really talked much these past few days," Li Han sighed and said, "By the way, bro, I don't even know your name. How should I address you?"

"I'm called Yang Gang," the guy chuckled. "Getting her WeChat contact is already a huge progress. You don't know how many guys I've introduced her over the years --- around four or five. But none of them could even get to the stage of having a meal together. So, you've achieved unprecedented success! There's still hope!" (T/N: [Achievement Completed -- Get Wang Man's WeChat])

Li Han glanced at him and thought to himself. 'No wonder this guy was so kind-hearted. He intended to throw me a challenging bone...'

"So, don't be discouraged," Yang Gang continued. "You definitely have a chance. It's not that my sister dislikes you; it's just that her family situation is a bit complicated..."

At this point, a look of difficulty and fear appeared on Yang Gang's face. "My sister's personality... I can't say for sure."

Li Han mocked him. He had the audacity to come into the dealership and beat people up, but now he was afraid to say anything about his cousin. Is he really the same man?

"Bro, you don't have to tell me," Li Han replied with a smile. "If she doesn't want others to know, then only she has the right to talk about these matters. And I'd prefer to hear it from her but..."

At this point, Li Han lowered his voice and continued, "If you can tell me where she works at the cake shop, it would be a great help for me."

"No problem," Yang Gang immediately breathed a sigh of relief. "She works at a cake shop called 'Baizhe Cake Shop.' It's not a famous cake shop, and the business is average, mainly relying on regular customers."

"Hmm..." Li Han nodded and searched for the cake shop on a food delivery app, finding its exact location.

"Come on, bro, give it your all," Yang Gang patted his shoulder. "Strive to win over my sister, and I'll also help you!"

"You better handle your own family matters first... about your wife..." Li Han sighed.

Angry, Yang Gang exclaimed, "I'm already dealing with it. Focus on pursuing my sister! I've already filed for divorce! If it weren't for gaining custody of my child, I'd beat the crap out of that couple!"

Knowing it was a family matter, Li Han knew it was best for him, an outsider, to refrain from getting involved in such family affairs, so he chose to remain silent.

After finishing his business, Yang Gang left, and during his lunch break, Li Han arrived at the entrance of Baizhe Cake Shop.

It was a small cake shop, not a famous chain, but it had quite a few customers at the moment. Judging by their casual attire, they were likely local residents from the nearby area, and some even came in slippers.

Li Han waited for a moment until a slender figure came out of the kitchen, carrying a plate of freshly baked pastries. He then pushed open the door and entered. Pretending to be surprised, he said, "Oh, what a coincidence!"

Wang Man raised an eyebrow, her beautiful eyes widened, and then she smiled and pursed her lips, "Indeed, quite a coincidence."

Her smile illuminated the entire cake shop, as captivating as a spring breeze. (E/N: ...me in my small, dark room right now: -__-)

"Do you need anything?" Wang Man asked with a smile as she arranged the freshly baked desserts in the refrigerated cabinet.

"Do I even need to ask? Coming to a cake shop means buying cakes," Li Han replied with a smile.

"Coming from the car dealership where you work, it must have taken about twenty minutes, right? Aren't there any cake shops near there?" Wang Man's tone carried a hint of teasing.

"Oh, I heard from a colleague that the cakes here are especially delicious, so I came to taste them and also bring some for them," Li Han explained.

"Hmm..." Wang Man glanced at him, her beautiful almond eyes narrowed, appearing even more charming. "You were so honest in junior high, but now you've become quite smooth-tongued. Being a sales agent must be challenging, huh?"

"Hasn't life beaten down everyone?" Li Han innocently shrugged. "Do you have any recommendations?"

"They're all highly recommended," Wang Man mischievously smiled. "After all, I made them."

After speaking, Wang Man patted his shoulder and said, "Take your time choosing."

After Wang Man entered the kitchen, a short-haired girl appeared behind Li Han, her eyes gleaming with curiosity. "Hmm? Who are you, and how did you manage to make our Little Man greet you with a smile? That's a rare sight."

Li Han looked at the girl with interest. She had short hair, was a bit chubby, and had a cute appearance.

"We were classmates in junior high." Li Han explained briefly. "Does this kind of situation happen often?"

"Many men approach Little Man because she's so beautiful," said the girl. "But Little Man doesn't give them a face and just kicks them out. Being a former classmate has its perks."

"How did you and her meet?" Li Han asked curiously.

The girl was about to answer but quickly stopped. "Oh, that involves her privacy, and I can't say. But we opened this cake shop together --- I invested the funds, and she did the effort. If you buy more cakes, I'll consider speaking highly of you."

"Deal!" Li Han chuckled, then looked around. "In that case, I'll have a portion of each."

"Boss, you're generous! I'll get them for you!" The girl cheerfully exclaimed and went to the cabinet to get the pastries. Finally, she placed a big bag of pastries in front of Li Han, wearing an innocent smile. "386 yuan, but you can give me 380."

Li Han glanced at the bag of cakes and knew that there was definitely more than "a portion of each." He just smiled and took out his phone to scan the QR code. The girl beamed at him and said, "Welcome back anytime."

On his way back, Li Han took a bite of the tiger-striped cake roll made by Wang Man.

It was delicate and moist and soft. The cake itself was sweet, but the salty cream filling balanced it out, preventing it from being overly sweet.

"It's quite good," Li Han murmured to himself. "This tiger-striped cake is much more delicious than the ones made by branded shops."

It was hard to imagine that someone like Wang Man's carefree personality could be so skilled at cooking, creating a strong contrast and a sense of adorable contradiction.

"You're becoming more and more interesting," Li Han said as he ate the cake.
