Chapter 260 - Make friends

They partied and everywhere was filled with joy and laughter.

It was one of the joyous occasions in their traumatized world and they enjoyed every bit of it.

Sonya avoided Tim like plague, while Ella teased them, making everything feel awkward, but being the stubborn girl that she was, it didn't change anything.

For the first time, Tim was actually looking at her all through and less at her stomach. She was beginning to get into his head for real, not because they will be having a child.

Clara was held in his arms as they danced to the tunes being played and the happy vibe coming from him just made her heart feel warm.

"Tim and Sonya are still acting like strangers." Leo whispered in her ears and she sighed.

"I wish I could help but she's stubborn and she took the situation very close to her heart. I don't want the mood between us to be affected, so it's up to Tim now." Clara said.

"You look so beautiful." He said.

"Changing topic so quickly?" Clara teased.

"You smell like my wife too." He said and she rolled her eyes.

"You smell like Leo, my love." She was hugged tightly immediately.

"You have no idea how happy I feel." He said.

Everyone noticed Sonya moving from one place to another.

If Tim got to where she sat, she wouldn't let him complete a sentence before she stood up and left.

"What's up?" Ella walked to him and asked after Clara came to drag Sonya to come dance with her.

"She's just so difficult. All I'm doing now is trying to get to know her, yet she's not budging." He said and Ella didn't mock him like she would usually do.

"I think you should keep trying. Don't give up." She said, wrapping her arms around him and he also held it.

The guy was suffering for real.

The way his expression looked helpless.

And so, the celebration event went on till everyone was tired from partying.

The couple decided to register their marriage by the end of the week, while they prepare for their wedding.

They both couldn't wait now.

…..

Something else awaited Leo the next day, but not really serious.

It could be serious, but that depends on how he handles it, which is what he's doing now.

He was sitting in his living room at the mansion with Belle sitting in front of him.

She was pouting her lips and having her arms folded across her chest.

Leo patted her hair softly.

"You are still young, princess. Coming 6th in class is not bad, Honey. As a matter of fact, your result is impressive, because you just started schooling five 5 months ago. You didn't start with the learning of the alphabet and numerals like kids do before being put in primary class, yet you nailed it." Leo said worriedly to the little princess.

She still looked like those words weren't for her.

Leo's attention was called to Belle's case, as the teacher discovered that she barely did anything except from reading and writing.

When the other kids go for break, she remains in the class with her book, practicing what was taught to them, which is something she hasn't done before.

Being the most beautiful girl in her class, she attracted a lot of attention from both male and female of her age.

And yes, they still tried to become friends with her, but she remained cold to everyone and only faced her book.

Her teachers are worried that she might hurt herself if she keeps on like that. They were impressed by her sudden seriousness at first, but now they are worried about getting in trouble if they did not inform her parents about it earlier while things haven't gotten out of hand.

The determined look in her eyes when she does her assignment was too serious for a girl her age.

Now, she answers questions in the class and even solves math on the board in front of her fellow classmates.

If she wasn't distant with them, they could have become good friends.

Leo looked at her and feigned a pitiful face. "Sweetheart, talk to me." He said.

"I'm older than all of them." Belle said, still frowning hard.

Leo sighed. He really didn't mind her studying too much before, because he is a bookworm since young himself, but not up to the stage of starving and not having friends.

That will affect her and even attract bullies. They will think she's proud and since she has no single friends, everyone will just enjoy the show of her getting bullied.

"Belle, you are five years old here. That realm thing is different from here, because no one sees you more than 5 here.

If you keep up with this attitude, you won't have any friends." Leo stretched his hand toward her, "come here." He said and picked her up, then placed her on his lap, while pressing her head to his chest.

"Don't you want a friend like your aunt Sonya and Mommy?" He asked.

"I don't want to." She replied without a second thought, which surprised Leo.

"Don't you want a friend with you at the wedding?" Leo asked.

"I will be with grandpa." She replied. As usual, always having answers to all questions.

Leo was short of words. "Ok hum… ask for anything you want from me and I will do it instantly. In return, you try to make friends and study less." Leo said hoping to get a better result, since everything isn't working.

"I want a private tutor. I want to stay at home and study, I don't want to go to school." She said.

"Who did you hear that from?" Leo asked with a frown.

"One of those kids trying to be friends with me got angry and said I should ask my parents to get me a private tutor and stay at home if I don't want to be disturbed." Belle said.

The event was still fresh in her memory.

She recalled sitting in the class and practicing the assignment given to them when the groups of students stood by the door as if they've planned something.

One of the boys walked up to her and she raised her head to tell him to leave, but he sat in front of her.

"Won't you go for a break" He asked and she ignored him.

He's not the first and won't be the last.

But her attitude gets her more attention, especially when she looks so dazzling, her hair longer than everyone else's I'm the class and clothes of the best quality.

She was just the perfect girl you will want to be infected with her vibe.

As usual, "go away." She said and the boy asked why she's behaving like that.

"Because I want to be left alone. Because I don't want disturbance." She replied and the boy looked mad.

"Well, if you don't want to disturbed, why don't you get a private tutor and stay at home?" He said and Belle look up at him

"What is that?" She was confused, but the part about learning at home piqued her interest.

"Well, you can just stay indoors and still get the same learning as we're doing. You don't want to be friends, so good for you." He said and Belle has been thinking about that, but didn't know how to say it to Leo, but he just told her to ask anything.

…..

Back at the present.

"I can't do that, Belle. It's not different from allowing you to be alone. If you want me to accept it, you have to make some friends first, so they can come visit you at the mansion once in a while, so I can be rest assured.

Aside from that, I can't just lock you in here and take the chance to get to meet people from you." Leo said.

"How do I know the ones to choose?" Belle asked, glad that Leo would consider if she makes friends.

That's so easy since they are still coming to her despite her pushing them away.

When she reaches school the next day, she will just agree to play with them and that's all.

She had no idea that she just fall into a trap, because Leo was so sure that if she tasted the excitement of playing with friends, she wouldn't want it to stop.

"I think the one who suggested the private tutor is okay. She must really want to be your friend with that much, for her to say that." Leo said.

"That little boy? No way! He is a nuisance and if he is not careful, I'm going to beat him up soon." Ciara said, frowning.

"A boy?" Leo asked and she nodded her head. "Don't choose a boy. Choose a girl like you for now." Leo quickly added, after listening to her reply.

"Fine! I will think about it." Belle said.

"That's my baby." He kissed her forehead.
