Chapter 308 - Addicted to you 1

Belle massaged her temple as her phone rang again and again.

She wanted to pick it, but still kept telling herself to not do so.

She didn't know what he would say and wouldn't give him the answer he wanted.

She wasn't angry anymore and was starting to find peace in her loneliness.

She spent a whole week anticipating his outburst after encountering her and Gail, but he never came.

He didn't call either and she lived through the whole week in misery. She doesn't have any distractions like her work and all, so she had enough time to cry to her heart's content and feel the emptiness till she felt that she could survive without him.

She should just move back to her parents perhaps and get a job at Leo's company, live a princess life and that's it.

She came to many resolutions and was feeling better now.

That one week felt like years and when she stepped outside her home, she looked like she had matured more than before.

She just took a stroll around to get fresh air and again, each place she passed by, brings back memories of them together.

She acted like it didn't spark anything within her.

And she had just returned home and took a nap, only to wake up by a phone call and when she checked the caller, she saw that it's him.

It was already late in the evening. It seems her nap turned into a deep slumber.

She was excited at first, before scolding herself for being so excited over his call.

She didn't pick it, but he kept on calling.

Usually, she would just switch off her phone, but she couldn't bring herself to do so.

Sigh.

She massaged her temple and soon, she slowly reached for the phone and upon picking it, a female voice was heard.

Her heart skipped.

Jealousy arose in her heart and it seems to break all over again.

The first thing that rang in her head was that Micheal had moved on.

He had forgotten her.

Why did that thought hurt so much?

"Hello, can you hear me?" The lady spoke again and Belle stammered as she said she can hear her.

"Can you come take the owner of this phone? He has drunk so much and refused to leave my bar. Your number is the only one on his dial list after a few stroll, so I thought you must be someone close." The lady explained.

Belle let out a sigh of relief before she knew it.

And then worry came over. Michael doesn't take alcohol. He had sipped wine during their dates, but doesn't take those with high alcohol.

She could even tolerate alcohol better than him.

How could he drink to such a state?

She didn't want to go though.

She knew going will break the barrier she had built against him in her heart.

She wanted to avoid him if possible, till she would go back to her parents.

An adage said, 'the outside world teaches an arrogant child'.

She has learned and now realizes she needs the guidance of her parents.

She missed them and knew she wouldn't have felt so broken if they are with her.

Leo would have hugged her tightly and Clara would run her hand through her hair.

She could still be all she wanted to, even when she's close to them.

She misses home.

This made her refuse to move and she remained deep in thought.

Time passed so fast and the lady called again.

"He's calling a name now and it's starting to irritate some customers. Please come take him or I will call the police." The woman threatened and Belle calmly told her she's on her way.

After a while, she got to the front of the bar and went in.

She called the number again and the lady picked it.

A beautiful young woman came to meet her at the entrance and pointed towards where Micheal was sitting with his head resting on the table.

She thanked her and took his phone from the woman, before walking up to him.

Her heart was pounding fast as she got nearer.

He was just as good looking as always. Even more blinding under the dimly lit space they were in.

He looked like he had lost so much weight.

His beards have started to grow, protruding sharp edges.

His hair was falling forward to grace his forehead and lips pressed in a thin line.

He doesn't look so drunk, because the bottle on his table still has half its content full.

Seems like he just refused to leave.

"What are you doing? When did you start drinking?" She asked, knowing he wasn't drunk to the state of not knowing what was happening.

He bolted up like a lightning and stared into her eyes.

He looked like he couldn't believe it.

He looked so exhausted that Belle's heart tightened at the sight.

She wanted to nag him. To ask why he did what he did when her rejection could make him look so miserable within a week.

If he loves her this much, then why cheat?

Wasn't she enough for him?

If she wasn't, he should just tell her where she's lacking and she will adjust.

Her eyes teared up and she dropped his phone on the table.

"You're disturbing the peace of the owner, so get your ass out of her bar." She acts tough and turns around.

She walked fast as she could, but immediately she stepped outside the bar, she heard him call her name.

"Belle."

She ignored me.

"Baby, please wait." She ignored again, till he caught up with her and held her hand.

He wasn't holding too tight, but she still stopped anyway.

Her tears were dropping now.

She looked down at her feet, refusing to look into his eyes.

How could she be so stupid. How could she still love him this much?

Why is she hating herself for making him look so tired and exhausted?

Micheal stared at her.

His woman. She's here with him now.

He had been feeling awful for making her feel hurt and didn't know how he could maintain a straight face and visit her house with his sorry ass, but it's enough.

He couldn't take this anymore.

He slowly lifted her chin to make her look into his eyes.Find authorized novels in , faster updates, better experience, Please click #'s-heart_15099745906890005/addicted-to-you-1_51050357979152002 for visiting.

She looked away, making his hand slip away from her jaw.

He smiled softly and repeated it.

She seemed to know he smiled and was furious about it.

This made her look into his eyes and when she did, she was trapped again.

In the world of love that has already consumed her.

A world that had turned her to nothing but an empty shell if she lived out of it.
