*Arrrggaaghhh~*
*Arrrggghhh~*
*Aagggahhh~*
Riding the raft towards the valley exit strange sounds could be heard from time to time giving the journey an eerie feel
"Young master, are we almost there yet?" Said Alvin as he raised his staff ready to make any danger that came near him explode
Beside him George said nothing but his red eyes kept darting around obviously that was his way of looking out for danger
And feeling their impatience from them Elric quickly brought out the map to confirm their position
"Yes Alvin we're almost there, look right there, that's us and there's the valley exit"
Bringing the map closer to them, Elric showed them their positions on it
Immediately upon seeing the exit so close, everyone couldn't help but get a little excited
"Haha, according to the map, once we come out of this exit, freedom town should be about a day if not a few hours from here!"
As everyone was still excited by the exit being so close Alvin quickly brought their attention to the location of freedom town on the map
"Wow it's actually true, haha I can't wait to get some rest back at the mansion!"
Following Alvin's laughter George also joined in as he couldn't help but drool slightly as he thought of the remaining wine back home
*If I get the time or chance, I'll have to ask Kevin if he has any wine recommendations*
Thought Davis as his mind suddenly went into the clouds.
"Ahem!"
Just as George was about to continue daydreaming, Elric's cough suddenly brought him back to reality,
"Don't look back but I think we might have company!"
At this point, hundreds of ghosts had already gathered around them making unintelligible sounds from time to time as they approached their raft
"G-g-ghosts! There really are ghosts!"
With a look of surprise, George shouted out in fear.
Looking at the dense figures at the edge of the river bank, Everyone couldn't help but be glad they got on the raft on time
"Remain calm everyone, according to the map once we reach this fall area we'll immediately zoom out into the exit"
"All week have to do is top them from getting on to the raft by then"
Analysing the situation Elric quickly told them the solution he'd thought up, Immediately after hearing him say this Alvin was the first to react
"Don't worry young master you can leave it to me, I've been wondering if there was anything to blow up for a while now"
Holding his staff Alvin spoke up confidently unfortunately his trembling hands didn't make him seem so confident, thankfully neither Elric Davis nor George pointed it out
"Fine Alvin, I'll leave our safety to you"
"George! Davis! Both of you use some of the extra wood on board as a paddle and row forward! We need to speed up!"
Looking at the sun already almost set above his head Elric issued orders with haste
Immediately everyone went into action, Thanks to Davis and George's paddling the raft speed greatly increased while Alvin kept shooting fireballs in all directions trying to keep the spectres away from them
"Explosion!"
"Explosion!"
"Explosion!"
Shouting explosion over and over Alvin seemed to have entered a whole nother level, even Elric who was at the helm of the raft couldn't help but wonder if Alvin wasn't going to run out of gas at this pace
And as if to prove him right, the next second the sound of explosion was nowhere to be heard
"Explos-"
Unable to complete his sentence Alvin sat down on the raft completely exhausted, at this point his bone staff was covered in cracks due to overuse and he was mentally exhausted
"Alvin, are you okay?"
Calling out to him Elric couldn't help but worry after seeing his condition
"I'm fine don't worry about me young master, I'll continue driving them of-"
*Bam!*
Just as Alvin was about to stand up, his legs suddenly gave in causing him to forcibly sit down.
"It seems you're not fine, get some rest I'll take over from here"
Without giving Alvin a chance to react Elric stood up summoning his spell book in his hand
"Damn ghosts, are you ready to try my latest trick"
Looking at the ghosts who had taken the opportunity of Alvin's fall to surround the raft Elric had a cruel expression on his have
"Haha try this out, rune fusion! Flame tornado!"
At that moment Elrics spell book began to shine, the wind and fireball runes suddenly flew out merging
watching this happen Elric was shocked!
"When did this book have a special effects mode?"
Murmuring under his breath Elric looked at the book suspiciously as if waiting for an answer however no reply came from it
Under everyone's shocked gaze, the fireball and wind rune merged and then completely disappeared
"??"
Seeing this happen, both ghost and human sides had questions marks on the top of their heads
"Boom!"
Just when everyone was still confused, a loud bang attracted their attention
Immediately a tornado completely made of flames appeared with the boat at its centre due to this none of the ghosts were able to approach without getting close
"Young master, are you okay? You're sweating a lot"
Looking at Elric who was slightly panting after releasing the move Davis called out in worry
"I'm fine however, keeping the tornado from extinguishing due to the water is draining my mental power plus it's a double rune combination"
Hearing this the three of them could already imagine Elric's mana draining nonstop
"But don't worry so much, soon there'll be no need for the tornado" Said Elric as he squeezed out a light smile
"Why is that?"
With a confused expression, George asked Elric, even Alvin and Davis looked at him with doubt, could it be he had thought of another plan?
However, Elric's next answer left them completely unexpected
"There's no need to keep the tornado active, because we're already at the fall point!"
Saying that he looked forward with expectations, it's just that at this time the sun had already completely set obscuring his vision
"What!?"
Hearing Elric say this the three of them suddenly had a bad feeling, it just that when they wanted to continue speaking the raft suddenly went into a full-speed downwards dive
"Ahhhhhhhhhh!"
Immediately the flame tornado spell was cancelled making their screaming figures on the raft completely visible.
