Chapter 260: Haven’t Changed

Leticia’s lips shut closed in that moment. Staring at Rihannan with a stunned expression, Leticia soon let out a loud laughter. “You’ve gone crazy! You’re saying that you had died after drinking the poison I had given you? Just what are you saying right now?”

“When I drank the poison you gave and died, I woke up and found myself back to being twelve years old again. Back to the very day where you first came to my house.”

“You’re making up some crazy story for a while now. Just tell me the truth. That you came here to laugh at the terrible state I’ve fallen to!”

“Whether you believe me or not, that doesn’t matter. I simply wished to tell you this. That you already had a single chance in the past to change your life.” Rihannan’s expression turned cloudy. “Even in the past, you were greedy for everything that I had, and wished to push me out as the queen as well as take my husband for yourself. When things didn’t go as you wanted, in the end you handed the poison to me. In this life, you definitely had the chance to change your life to be much better than the one you had in the past. But you threw away that chance yourself, and because of that you are now stuck inside the cell waiting for your death.”

“Does the king know that you’ve gone absolutely crazy as well? Hah, oh how I wish I could be there to see his reaction!”

Rihannan didn’t reply to her remark at all, and simply stared at Leticia. Just as Leticia was about to scream and wail at Rihannan again, from the corner of the darkness a human figure started to move into the light. As soon as he came to where light could reach him, Leticia immediately quietened down.

“Y-Your majesty…” Leticia remembered the moments of when she had last seen him, and immediately moved away from the iron bars. Even though she was shaking in fear, Leticia used the last of her strength to yell out. “Did you hear it? The crazy talk that she just spewed from her mouth? She said that you had died and came back to life, what do you think about that? Did you already know that she was out of her mind?”

Leticia thought that since he must have listened to all the crazy talk Rihannan just said before, he would show some kind of response to it. She definitely imagined he would make an expression that looks as if he was looking at a crazed person, just like she did. However, instead of the predicted expression that Leticia thought of, he simply looked down at Leticia with his cold purple eyes.

“Haven’t you heard her? That woman’s completely crazy! She said that she died and came back to life!”

Instead of being scared of the crazy talk the queen was spouting, the king stood next to the queen. He then pulled in Rihannan close to him by pulling her with one arm on her shoulder. No matter how you look at it, he looked to be protecting the queen.

Then Leticia realized something was wrong. No way, is he really believing all those things that she said? How could he believe such nonsense…

But then, she suddenly remembered what he had told her in the past. The words that even after hearing them herself, she couldn’t believe.

“You really really haven’t changed at all.”

“You’re still vile and disgusting. Your propensity to always covet other people’s belongings yet put the blame on someone else didn’t change a single bit from your past, that it’s almost insane. If I knew that you would try to attempt to do the same thing that you’ve done 6 years ago even in this period, I would have just killed you back then.”
