Chapter 278: Love You As Well

Igor stood there with his mouth agape. He couldn’t properly understand what she was saying.

“What are you saying? Why have you got off the boat then?”

“Well…”

After hesitating for a long time, Rihannan bit her lips tight as if she made a resolve.

“I think you have some words that you have yet to say to me.”

“Some words I haven’t said to you yet…?”

“The words that were written on this letter. The words that you’ve never once properly said to be yourself, even though you had clearly explained everything in the letter!”

Rihannan shook the object held in her hand. It was the envelope that he ordered the commander to hand over to Rihannan once she gets on the boat to Chrichton, the envelope which included the golden feather.

“If you had something you want to say to me, then just say it to me directly instead of writing it as a letter. And if you had a wish that you desperately wanted, then instead of wishing it on this feather, wish it to me directly instead, a real human. You never know! I may not be Ataraxia, nor a demigod. I may just be a plain human, but I may be able to grant that wish of yours, you know?”

Still staring at Rihannan with a dreamy gaze on his eyes, Igor let go of Rihannan’s hand that he was holding onto. He then took back the envelope. Then, he slowly pulled out the letter from inside the envelope. Shining under the dimming red sunlight as the sun was going down the horizon, the golden feather shined brightly like a jewel.

In the past, he wished upon an unknown existence. The man he was back then had already lost everything that he ever owned and had his life completely ruined. Even though he knew that it was no different than seeing a mirage in the desert, he still wished desperately with all he had as he was dying.

However, this time he hada*surance. That this wish will actually be granted this time. And that wish that was already rejected when he wished it for the first time, was now going to be completely granted.

“Rihannan, my love.”

Igor stared at Rihannan. The beautiful woman came from the neighboring country, with blue eyes and dazzling silver-colored hair. Staring at the most precious person to him in the whole wide world with admiration in his eyes.

“Can this foolish man hope that you, the one I love…”

He then collapsed both his hands together as he held out the golden feather shining under the dimming sunset.

“to not leave his side, and for you to stay by my side forever?”

Rihannan burst into tears right away. She then practically flew into his arms.

Igor grabbed and held Rihannan strongly in his arms as she fell into his embrace. While stroking her silver hair with his hand inside of her hood, he found her lips and kissed her deeply. As their tongues found their way around each other, tears came together as well. Even though it was salty, it was the sweetest kiss he ever had.

“Rihannan, Rihannan, Rihannan.”

After pulling away from his lips from hers, he repeatedly spoke her name over and over again. Rihannan then realized it. That the name he was calling her this whole time was actually in a way of him confessing his love for her.

“I love you, Rihannan.”

And now, he didn’t hide his feelings anymore. He kept kissing and repeating that he loves her an uncountable amount of times. Rihannan replied to him with a trembling, crying voice.

“I also love you as well.”
